Chapter 149 Mr. Vittorio is a married old man.

Her words were righteous and fearless.

Such a reaction was unexpected for Giorgio.

He twirled the pen in his hand, raising an eyebrow.

"So, you mean, you are at a disadvantage?"

Anna replied impatiently, "I am still an unmarried young girl, while you are a married old man, so of course I am at a disadvantage."

Unmarried young girl, married old man.

These two phrases words formed a stark contrast.

Giorgio chuckled and his smile melted like snow under the light, looking very handsome and charming.

He didn't say anything, just stared at her straight, observing what kind of face she would make while saying such things.

Anna panicked under his gaze.

"Alright, you are the mighty Giorgio, and I am just an ordinary commoner. I am not at a disadvantage, you are! Can we leave it at that?"

Giorgio nonchalantly responded, "Now that you realize your mistake, listen to me today and serve me."

She had seen people with thick skin before, but never this thick!

"Serve? How am I supposed to serve?" Anna couldn't imagine and looked at him apprehensively.

He wouldn't be thinking of…

Giorgio, seeing her tightly hug herself and her cautious and worried expression, understood everything.

His voice was faint and he said, "Just by bringing me tea and water, what did you think I was going to do?"

"No, no, I didn't think that. So, you want tea now? I'll go make it for you right away."

Anna nervously got up and left, moving as quickly as an agile little rabbit.

Giorgio smiled at the corner of his lips, indulgent and intriguing.

Outside of the office, Anna stamped her feet, her face blushing red.

He was so serious just now, but she was thinking of something explicit.

"Mrs. Vittorio, is there anything I can help you with?" The secretary's voice sounded.

Anna snapped back to reality and looked at the beautiful woman in front of her. Well, with a seductive and stunning secretary like her in the office, why would he need her to serve him?

She pursed her lips and said, "It's alright. Where is the pantry? I'll make Mr. Vittorio a cup of coffee."

"Coffee?" The secretary raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Mr. Vittorio always drinks coffee, he doesn't like tea."

Is that so?

Anna quickly corrected herself, "I misspoke, I'll make tea."

The secretary smiled with red lips. "Go straight and turn left, you'll find it."

"Alright, thank you." Anna walked away.

That was close. She didn't even know Giorgio's preferences just now. If it were someone else, they might have become suspicious.

She didn't notice the figure lurking in the corner, who had already seen everything.

Strange, Katherine has been to the company countless times, how could she not know where the pantry is?

Even stranger, Katherine had been with Giorgio for over a decade, knowing his preferences inside out, how could she suggest making coffee?

He had a vague feeling that things were not that simple.

"Investigate thoroughly and attend the Stefanelli family's banquet tonight. Keep a close eye on Katherine's every move."

"Yes."

For the better part of the afternoon, Anna was boredly playing with her phone in Giorgio's office. By chance, she stumbled upon a group chat with her classmates and instinctively clicked into it. There were a lot of messages, mostly from Camilla and their classmate Antonio, asking him about his exact return date from abroad, but he hadn't replied. Unable to resist, Anna scrolled to the top and clicked on his profile picture.

It was a neatly taken photo, like a passport photo, with a white shirt and neatly cropped short hair. It was incredibly clear and three-dimensional, with clean and upright eyes. After several years apart, he had grown even more mature and had a touch of masculinity.

"Ding dong ding dong ding~"

At that moment, a call from Simon suddenly flashed on the screen. What could he be calling about? Anna glanced at Giorgio, who was diligently working at his desk, afraid of disturbing him. She picked up her phone and hurriedly walked into the rest area.

"Hello, Simon?"

Simon? Giorgio's large hand tightened, and he drew a black line straight across the document on his desk. He lifted his gaze and watched as Anna closed the door to the rest area, his gaze becoming icy.

Inside the rest area, Simon's gentle voice sounded from the phone.

"Anna, are you doing alright?"

"Mhmm, I'm doing fine. And you?"

"Naturally, I'm doing well too, but... I just missed you too much."

His tender voice sounded particularly serious. He wasn't joking around.

Anna's dark pupils paused for a moment. The sophisticated and refined Simon was actually saying romantic things to her. She had no idea what she possessed that would make him think of her, or what was worthy of his longing. She had even been looking at Antonio's information just earlier.

"Anna? Why aren't you saying anything? Don't you miss me? Hm?"

Anna quickly snapped back to reality and shook her head.

"No, of course I miss you. I miss you, Sara, and even the air of Vista Heights, every inch of it."

Simon sighed helplessly. "The way you say it, it doesn't sound like you miss me. It sounds more like you miss the scenery of Vista Heights."

Anna replied, "I didn't mean it that way."

"Mhmm, just kidding. The reason I called is to let you know that my dad has agreed to give you a chance."

A chance, most likely a chance to date Simon. It would be incredibly difficult to convince them to give this chance, but he actually managed to do it?

Anna suddenly felt guilty. Simon had always been the one putting in effort, while she had never tried.

"Simon, thank you. I'll finish up things here as soon as possible and come back soon."

"Mhmm, I'll be waiting for you."

The call ended.

Anna looked out at the bustling city through the window and took a deep breath of fresh air. Regardless of how things would turn out between her and Simon, during the time they were dating, she should treat him well too.

She sent a voice message to Sara.

"Sara, could you buy a gift for Mr. Dalio on my behalf? Secretly, as a surprise."

Soon, Sara replied with a message.

"Oh, you finally know how to take care of your boyfriend? That's the right attitude. What do you want to buy? I'll go and get it tonight."

Anna was distressed. "I don't know what to buy. Do you have any suggestions on what to give him as a present?"

"Yes, for men, you can give a tie or a belt, symbolizing that you have captured his heart."

"Wouldn't that be too intimate? Maybe we should..." Anna's words were interrupted by Sara.

"No, it's fine. Besides, Mr. Dalio has everything. Any other valuable gift would be useless. This is a good choice, and Mr. Dalio will definitely be happy. Let's go with it."

Anna couldn't think of anything else either and reluctantly nodded, saying, "Okay, thank you then."

"You're welcome."

Anna and Sara chatted for a while before hanging up the phone and turning around to head out.

To her surprise, Giorgio was standing behind her!

His sharp and profound eyes were dangerously fixed on her!
