Chapter 438 A Sweet Night

A small voice full of complaints, grumbling, and disappointment.

Giorgio listened, surprised, then smiled.

She thought he was being indifferent, which was amusing.

He was still smiling?

To him, she must seem like a toy, easy to manipulate, hence the amusement.

Anna got angrier, avoiding his gaze, and started packing to leave.

"Really angry?"

Giorgio grabbed her wrist, pulling her into his arms.

She struggled.

He tightened his grip, holding her waist, and calmly said, "I wasn't being indifferent; there was a special reason."

Special reason? Yeah, right.

"I don’t believe you."

Men always lie.

Anna kept pushing him away.

"Anna," Giorgio called sternly.

He tightened his embrace, whispering in her ear, "Do you believe me now, hmm?"

'Believe what?' she thought.

Anna's cheeks turned crimson!

His body was warm, and she could smell his unique scent.

She stopped struggling, frozen in his arms.

Giorgio continued in a husky voice by her ear.

"Do you think seeing my girlfriend after a shower, I wouldn't feel anything?"

So, he wasn’t ignoring her; he was respecting her!

Anna's face turned a mix of blue and red, blue for misunderstanding him, red for his reason.

Her eyelashes fluttered, and she said, "I'm sorry."

Giorgio looked at her blushing face and gently said, "No need to apologize, but I realize I shouldn't hold back; I should be passionate, so you won't misunderstand."

'Passionate!' she thought.

"No, no, no!"

Anna shook her head, blushing, "I just didn’t know, I thought you were like that, really! You just need to explain clearly!"

She felt like a lamb trying to escape a wolf.

Giorgio pulled her back, asking, "So, do you still want to sleep separately?"

She hadn't thought about it; his indifference made her angry and sleep on the floor.

Now the misunderstanding was cleared.

And he was so dangerously charming, saying they should still sleep apart would probably get her killed.

While she hesitated, Giorgio took her to bed, covering her with the blanket.

"Don’t worry, I'll just hold you."

His words were brief, steady, gentle, and warm.

Anna felt like she was sinking into honey, stuck and unable to get out.

Her breathing tightened, staying in his arms, she finally said, "Okay, good night."

She thought he was really that innocent, keeping his word, closing her eyes, trying to calm down and rest.

But within five minutes, his warm lips kissed her.

"What are you doing?"

Anna was startled.

Giorgio kissed her lips, tenderly and gently.

"I want to kiss."

She really believed his words!

As expected, you still couldn't trust what men said.

The next day at six in the morning, the sky was dimly lit, the clouds slightly yellow, showing a bit of sunrise, beautiful and vibrant, full of hope.

Anna slept drowsily, feeling something warm on her forehead. She slightly opened her eyes and saw Giorgio's handsome face and charming eyes.

"Mr. Vittorio, heading to the airport?"

Giorgio gently ruffled her hair.

"Yeah, you keep sleeping, no need to see me off."

He was so gentle, so doting.

Anna felt herself falling for him.

They say mature men are charming; no wonder so many girls like older guys.

She shyly said, "Remember to have breakfast and take care of yourself."

"Is that all?" he asked quietly.

Anna blinked, unsure what else to say.

"Send a message when you arrive."

"Be careful not to get kidnapped again."

"Forget it, you low EQ girl."

Giorgio tapped her nose, leaned down, kissed her lips, and said, "A goodbye kiss."

Anna was taken aback.

She didn't expect it.

And he initiated it just like that.

She said, "My emotional intelligence isn't as high as Mr. Vittorio's. You must have had many relationships."

Only after saying it did she realize it sounded jealous.

Giorgio smiled.

"I haven’t been in a relationship."

She didn't believe him and didn’t want to argue about it.

"Alright, you should go, the driver might be waiting too long."

Giorgio had important work in Corystania, including dealing with the kidnapping incident.

He had to go.

He took out another private bank card from his bag and handed it to her.

"You gave them the black card before, take this one. It’s not unlimited, but if it’s not enough, contact me."

Another bank card.

The first time he gave her one, he said he hoped she wouldn’t flirt with other men and should remember her identity. She accepted it because of Penny and to stay in the villa. Now, the second card was out of care for his girlfriend.

Anna couldn’t accept it.

She didn’t want to keep spending his money or add material concerns to the relationship.

"I have a job now, and I have money. No need, thank you."

Giorgio never took back what he gave. Knowing she was overthinking, he explained, "What are you thinking? I just hope that when I’m not around, if you encounter any difficulties, you won’t have to rely on others. Take it, just in case."

He thought of everything.

Anna couldn’t refuse any longer; at worst, she wouldn’t spend it.

"Okay, I’ll keep it for you. Alright, you really should go now."

Other girlfriends might be reluctant to part, but with him, it turned into urging him to leave.

A bit of a headache, he leaned down and bit her.

"Remember to miss me. And if you dare not answer the phone, avoid or stay away, see how I deal with you when I get back. I won’t let you off like last night."

Anna's body stiffened.

Even five minutes after Giorgio left, she was still frozen in bed.

Deal with her? His idea of dealing wasn’t simple.

Scenes from last night where she was nervous and resisting flashed in her mind. He didn’t ultimately make love to her.

But even letting her off was quite embarrassing!

Her face turned red as she pulled the blanket over her head.

How did she agree to sleep with him? Believing he would just hold her.

In her embarrassment, a phone ringtone sounded.

Anna popped her head out, quickly patted her face, and grabbed the phone.
