Chapter 123 Unveiling Everything
Following Hannah to the fourth floor, they entered a room together. As they walked in, Lauren deliberately glanced at the VIP room.
A sudden thought struck her, 'Could Quentin have already become a member here?'
The room was quite spacious, with some projection equipment, a sofa, and a water dispenser.
Lauren stood there awkwardly, waiting for Hannah to make arrangements. Quentin casually walked over to the sofa and sat down, looking as if he was ready to attend a class.
Seeing Lauren's unease, Hannah smiled and said, "Mrs. Robinson, just relax. After I conduct a simple physical check-up for you, we'll start today's class."
The so-called physical check-up involved measuring blood pressure, recording the data of her pregnant belly, and then retrieving Lauren's prenatal check-up records from the hospital.
Lauren was impressed. No wonder it was a high-end service. The attention to detail and care were truly remarkable.
Once Hannah finished her tasks, the long-awaited yoga class began.
"Mrs. Robinson, let's start by relaxing," Hannah instructed, guiding Lauren through various yoga poses. Lauren was very nervous, having never taken such a course before, and all her muscles tensed up.
Quentin watched as Lauren stiffly performed the yoga poses, shaking his head helplessly. Lauren had no athletic ability, and it seemed he had made a mistake this time.
After a tiring morning, the class finally ended.
Lauren let out a long sigh of relief. To her, this class was like paying to suffer. She didn't like it at all.
Lauren looked at Quentin with a sense of grievance, silently expressing her dissatisfaction.
Quentin took Lauren's hand and led her out of the wellness center, got into the car, and instructed the driver to head back.
"Alright, stop looking at me. How am I supposed to know you can't even do yoga?" Quentin patted Lauren's head, trying to calm her anger.
"I'm not like Mr. Robinson, who can do everything. If you're so capable, why don't you have the baby yourself?" Lauren asked.
The driver couldn't help but laugh while Lauren pouted, ignoring Quentin.
Quentin was at a loss. "You don't appreciate a good heart."
As he spoke, he deliberately placed his hand on his wound and frowned. Sure enough, Lauren's heart softened when she saw his expression.
"Alright, this place is completely unnecessary for me. I can do those yoga poses at home. The knowledge she shared, I can learn that from a few books. Coming all the way here is a waste of time!"
Quentin's eyes were gentle. After all, Lauren was trying to save money for him. He had married a thrifty wife.
"Fine, if you don't like it, we won't come again," Quentin conceded.
"Really? So, have you become a VIP here?" Lauren asked.
"No, that Robinson Conglomerate owns the wellness center," Quentin replied nonchalantly.
Lauren was quite surprised. She didn't expect Robinson Conglomerate to be interested in investing in maternity services. What she didn't need to know was that Quentin had acquired it specifically for her.
"Even if I don't go in the future, you won't lose anything. That's great!" Lauren touched her nose, feeling that something was off.
As the car continued to drive, Lauren felt the atmosphere inside was a bit stifling, so she took the initiative to chat with Quentin.
"Mr. Robinson, why do you suddenly sign me up for this class? Do you also know about pregnancy?" Lauren asked.
"I don't, but you've been talking about the baby a lot lately," Quentin replied honestly. He thought Lauren would enjoy these classes.
Lauren felt helpless. She had intended to help Quentin understand the baby's development process more, as Dr. Olivia suggested, to involve him in her pregnancy journey. She didn't expect Quentin to misunderstand.
"Don't you say you like babies? I think you enjoy hearing about these things," Lauren said, feeling dejected. 'Have all my efforts only made Quentin resentful?' Lauren thought.
Hearing the disappointment in Lauren's voice, Quentin said, "I do like it. I won't make decisions on my own anymore."
The decision was for Lauren's benefit.
Lauren nodded happily, knowing that everything Quentin did was for her and the baby. The atmosphere in the car improved once again.
When Lauren and Quentin returned to the hospital, they were surprised to find someone waiting for them in the room.
"Grandma, what brings you here?" Lauren asked in surprise, looking at Grandma Robinson's worried face.
Seeing Lauren, Grandma Robinson's anger dissipated instantly. "Lauren, you're here too! Have you two reconciled?"
Grandma Robinson's face lit up with joy. She had passed by Robinson Conglomerate today and decided to check on Quentin, who hadn't been home for a while.
To her surprise, only Noah was in the office. Under her questioning, Noah revealed everything. She was furious to learn that Quentin was injured and hospitalized without informing her.
But now, seeing Lauren and Quentin return together, cheerful and close, her intuition told her that their relationship had mended. 'So, are they considering remarriage?'
Lauren walked over to Grandma Robinson and said, "Grandma, I'm so sorry. Quentin got injured saving me. Please don't be angry, okay?"
Lauren felt deeply guilty. Not only had she caused Quentin's injury, but she also made Grandma Robinson worry. Her guilt was immense.
Grandma Robinson held Lauren's hand and said, "If Quentin got injured saving you, then it was worth it. As part of the Robinson family, you carry the next generation of the Robinson family. It's only right for him to save you! Quentin did the right thing!"
Grandma Robinson smiled at Lauren and Quentin. If they could reconcile, it would be wonderful.
Quentin didn't want Grandma Robinson to worry about him, which was why he had kept it from her. He had planned to resolve things with Lauren and then surprise her with the news of their remarriage. But now Grandma Robinson had found out earlier than expected.
"Grandma, Lauren, and I are doing well. Don't worry," Quentin assured her. He felt guilty for making Grandma Robinson worry all these years and for rarely having the chance to accompany her.
Quentin vowed in his heart, 'Once the baby is born, I will ensure Grandma Robinson enjoys her later years in peace and spend more time with her.'
Grandma Robinson nodded happily, feeling reassured. She saw the love in Quentin and Lauren's eyes for each other, and it seemed their remarriage was only a matter of time.
However, Grandma Robinson wished that day would come sooner, as she felt her health declining. She had been hiding her true condition from Quentin, not wanting to become a burden to him.
