Chapter 372 Venting

After Odette and Gregory left, Quentin sat on the couch, silently and quietly.

Lauren had never seen him like this before and felt a bit at a loss.

"I'll go run a bath for you," Lauren thought it was best not to anger Quentin at this moment.

Before she could finish her sentence, Quentin suddenly grabbed Lauren's hand and pulled her down onto the couch.

His deep eyes seemed to hide many thoughts. Recalling the scene of playing with Gregory yesterday, Lauren felt a bit guilty.

"You two seemed to get along quite well," Quentin said coldly, without a trace of expression on his face.

"We were just talking about business," knowing Quentin was angry, Lauren quickly explained.

But after Lauren said this, Quentin fell silent again, and they once again lapsed into silence.

Seeing Quentin sulking, Lauren also got a bit annoyed.

"I see you and Odette get along quite well too," Lauren huffed, sitting cross-legged on the couch.

Hearing Lauren mention his mistake, Quentin frowned and became a bit impatient.

"Where are you going?" Seeing Quentin put on his coat, looking like he was about to leave, Lauren became anxious.

"What's it to you?" Quentin threw this sentence and slammed the door as he left.

Damn it! Quentin sat in the car and pounded the steering wheel hard.

Whenever he calmed down, the image of Lauren lying on Gregory would appear before his eyes.

When Ethan was around, Quentin wouldn't lose his temper like this. But for some reason, whenever Quentin saw Gregory, he felt an urge to punch him.

Feeling extremely annoyed, Quentin drove to a bar.

In the time it took to drink three glasses, six women had already approached Quentin.

"Get lost! Don't touch me," Quentin shouted, smashing the glass in his hand onto the ground.

The women were frightened by Quentin's extreme reaction and screamed as they left.

After such a commotion, it indeed became  quiet, and no one dared to approach Quentin again.

The phone rang many times, all calls from Lauren, but Quentin didn't answer any of them.

When the seventh call came, Quentin finally picked up.

"What do you want?" Quentin's face was cold, and his tone was harsh.

"Quentin, what's wrong?" It wasn't Lauren on the other end, but Odette.

"Why is it you?" Quentin's accusatory tone hid a hint of disappointment.

Odette quickly sensed this and guessed that Quentin had a conflict with Lauren.

"I can't find my keys. Could they be at your place?" Odette lied to test Quentin, to see if he was home.

"I don't know. I'm not home right now." Quentin replied.

Odette was thrilled to hear this; she had been waiting for Quentin to say it.

"Where are you? I'll come find you," Odette pouted, looking very helpless, "I can't get into my house today anyway, so we can keep each other company."

Quentin didn't hesitate and told Odette the location of the bar.

After hanging up, Odette rushed over.

"Why did you drink so much?" Odette smelled the strong scent of alcohol on Quentin before she even got close.

"Just a little," Quentin refilled his glass and handed one to Odette, "Here."

Knowing Quentin had drunk too much, Odette took the glass from his hand. "Let's go back first. I'll drink with you at home."

Odette struggled to get Quentin out of the bar.

Unable to carry Quentin any further, Odette found a nearby hotel.

Odette threw Quentin onto the bed. Watching him sleep soundly, she felt a bit melancholic.

Odette gently stroked Quentin's face and kissed his lips.

Just as Odette was unbuttoning the fourth button of Quentin's shirt, he suddenly pushed her away.

"What are you doing?" Quentin frowned and questioned Odette.

"What do you think?" Odette lay on top of Quentin, unwilling to let go.

"I'm tired. Let me sleep," Quentin closed his eyes and said no more.

This was the first time Quentin had rejected Odette, and she was surprised.

'Is it because of Lauren?' Odette felt sad thinking about it.

She couldn't believe that despite all she was willing to do for Quentin, she still couldn't compare to Lauren, who came later.

With this feeling of resentment, Odette couldn't sleep and stayed awake all night.

It wasn't until dawn that Odette finally fell asleep.

When she woke up again, Quentin was already gone.

After leaving Odette, Quentin went to the office. Just as he reached the entrance, he ran into Lauren arriving for work.

"Morning," Lauren's face looked pale, probably from not sleeping well the night before.

After a brief greeting, Lauren quickened her pace into the office.

Being treated like this by Lauren early in the morning, Quentin was filled with anger.

Quentin didn't say anything, quickly caught up with Lauren, and pulled her into the private elevator.

"What are you doing?" Lauren's wrist hurt from Quentin's grip, and she tried to break free, but he only held on tighter.

"Is this your game of playing hard to get?" Without waiting for Lauren to answer, Quentin kissed her forcefully.

Lauren didn't understand why Quentin was so angry with her. She didn't want to be treated like this, so she bit his lip hard.

Even so, Quentin still didn't let go; instead, he kissed her even harder.

Feeling weak and almost out of breath from Quentin's kiss, Lauren was about to collapse when Quentin wrapped his arm around her waist.

When the elevator reached the top floor, Quentin finally let her go at the sound of the chime.

"You can go to work now," Quentin said, leaving Lauren and walking away.

Lauren was still in a daze, standing there for a long time before returning to her office.

She touched her lips, which still seemed to carry Quentin's warmth.
