Chapter 443 Wedding in Progress

"Yeah, sure thing."

Felix carefully placed the coffee on the desk and headed out to tackle his tasks, leaving Quentin alone in the quiet office.

Quentin felt a bit jittery, but he was determined that nothing would mess up this time.

Odette was meticulously putting on a stunning white wedding gown, her joy evident as she admired herself in the mirror.

She had imagined this day countless times, but she never thought it would come so soon, nor did she expect Quentin to move the wedding date up.

Seeing the expensive and luxurious gown on her, Odette beamed with happiness.

Admiring her reflection, she smirked and said, "Odette, you've finally outdone Lauren. Soon, you'll be Mrs. Robinson."

"Everyone will envy you, you'll have endless wealth and Quentin's love," Odette continued, laughing arrogantly as she admired her wedding dress.

Her expression quickly turned venomous as she gritted her teeth and said, "Lauren, once I marry Quentin, you'll never have a chance to rise again."

Odette had no intention of letting Lauren stay in the mansion. The thought of Lauren always being around Quentin made Odette furious.

After the day, Odette would ensure Lauren never saw Quentin again. She would marry Quentin, and no one would disturb their happiness.

With this thought, Odette's smile became sinister.

When someone entered the room, Odette quickly put on a gentle facade and softly asked, "Is everything ready for the wedding? Has Quentin arrived?"

The planner nodded respectfully and said, "Everything is set up as you requested. The scene has been adjusted to your liking, and all the flowers have been changed to red roses. Are you satisfied?"

Odette took the tablet the planner handed her and saw that the setup matched her dream wedding perfectly.

She was thrilled and handed the planner a gift, saying softly, "Thank you for your hard work."

The planner's face lit up with a wide smile upon receiving the gift. "It's my pleasure."

Odette's eyes flashed with malice as she said, "I need you to do one more thing for me."

"What is it?" the planner asked innocently.

"Reserve the best seat in the front row, right next to the steps," Odette said with a smile.

She wanted Lauren to be closest to the steps, to see Quentin put the wedding ring on her and embrace her, sealing their marriage.

She wanted to take everything Lauren cared about, step by step.

"By the way, where's Quentin?" Odette asked anxiously, frowning.

She hadn't seen Quentin all morning and was getting worried.

"He'll be here soon," the planner replied, still grinning from ear to ear, too distracted by the gift to give a proper answer.

Odette looked at the planner with disdain and thought, 'Greedy people like you are so repulsive.'

Guests began to arrive at the wedding venue, with nearly all of City A's high society in attendance. It was undoubtedly a grand event.

Everyone came with a sense of curiosity, not genuine well-wishes.

But Odette didn't care; as long as she could be with Quentin, she didn't mind if others blessed their union or not.

As Odette admired her wedding dress, a figure suddenly appeared in the mirror. Her smile vanished, and she coldly asked, "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be outside?"

"I'm here to congratulate you," Gregory said nonchalantly, lifting Odette's chin with a smirk. "Don't get too complacent."

"This is my wedding day. Don't think you can cause trouble!" Odette warned, glaring at Gregory.

He shrugged, casually fixing his hair, and retorted, "Don't blame me if you end up with nothing."

"That's none of your business. Did you bring Matthew?" Odette asked, concerned. "I don't want to break my promise to Quentin."

"Don't worry, Matthew is here. He won't be at the wedding, but he'll see you tie the knot," Gregory assured her. "I'll make sure he watches."

"I'll deal with Matthew eventually," Odette said through gritted teeth.

The thought of Matthew, Lauren's child, made her want to strangle him.

"Where's Quentin?" Gregory probed.

Odette glanced at Gregory impatiently. "Quentin isn't here yet, but he will be. Just stay put."

Quentin had arrived on the yacht early, coordinating with the police to set up a trap for Gregory. There would be no escape for him.

Quentin checked the time; it was almost noon. The yacht was about to depart, and everything was ready.

Lauren had been brought to the second floor of the yacht by two men in suits and locked in a room next to Odette's.

When Odette heard Lauren was next door, she smirked, lifted her dress, and went to confront her.

Lauren was examining the room when a loud noise startled her. She looked up to see Odette in her white wedding gown.

Odette's hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, but beneath her innocent face lay countless schemes.

"I'm glad you could make it to my wedding," Odette said smugly. "You must be feeling great right now."

Lauren smiled but didn't respond, while Odette continued to boast.

"Quentin will be my husband today. As his ex-wife, don't you care?" Odette taunted.

"You're just taking my leftovers. Is that worth celebrating?" Lauren replied coldly, silencing Odette.

Her expression darkened as she pointed at Lauren and demanded, "What did you say?"

Lauren calmly repeated herself, smiling. "It's just my leftovers. Why be so happy? And be careful; the wedding is about to start. You wouldn't want anything to go wrong."

Lauren's smile made Odette uneasy.
