Chapter 386 Gregory's Love

"Brother?" Lauren's eyes widened, her beautiful pupils now filled with surprise.

She looked at Quentin, her gaze seemed to say, "You actually have a brother?"

Quentin thought for a moment and decided there was no need to hide it anymore. After all, Gregory had come looking for him, and he couldn't continue pretending to know nothing.

Quentin didn't think Gregory would be so kind as to help him cover up the lie.

"Yeah, I just found out a few days ago," Quentin replied, then gave what he thought was a perfect explanation for his secrecy, "I didn't think it was necessary to tell you."

"Not necessary?" Lauren repeated, her eyes widening even more.

She thought of what Odette had said last time.

Could it be that Quentin really disliked her? Wait, something didn't seem right.

"Aren't you supposed to have amnesia?" Lauren looked at Quentin suspiciously, her gaze making Quentin a bit uncomfortable.

"I was just recovered," Quentin didn't like lying, but it didn't mean he wasn't good at it, especially when the target was Lauren.

He didn't even need to embellish his lie much.

Just as he thought, Lauren didn't have the slightest doubt and quickly turned her attention back to Gregory. "So, Mr. Walker, what do you want with Quentin? I don't believe you just came to see him!"

Lauren stood with her hands on her hips, looking very protective of Quentin.

"Mr. Walker?" Gregory repeated the overly formal address, then teased, "Lauren, you're so cold. Didn't we agree you'd call me Gregory? Or did you forget?"

Gregory's words successfully reminded Lauren of the time she first met Gregory. She also remembered mistaking Gregory for Quentin for less than a second because of their overly similar faces.

Lauren's face turned red with embarrassment, which Quentin noticed. He thought Lauren's blush was because she had done something inappropriate with Gregory.

Quentin was very displeased and in a bad mood.

"Daddy, you seem to be in a bad mood? Is it because of Mr. Walker?" Matthew was better at sensing Quentin's mood than Lauren. Matthew hit the nail on the head again.

Quentin looked at Matthew, whose face was exactly like his own when he was a child, which improved his mood.

At least he still had a son.

"It has nothing to do with him," Quentin would never admit he was jealous.

"Alright," Matthew nodded thoughtfully, his big round eyes darting between Gregory and Quentin, then he said loudly, "Don't worry, Daddy! I'll always support you!"

As soon as he said this, the expressions of the three adults in the room changed.

Lauren forced a bitter smile. Poor Matthew still didn't know she had been rejected by Quentin.

Gregory showed an amused smile. It seemed that to win over Lauren, he first had to win over Matthew.

As for Quentin, although his expression didn't change , it was clear that his mood had improved.

Unfortunately, Lauren, lost in her own thoughts, didn't notice.

"Matthew, how can you say that? Your mommy is so beautiful, how can you let your daddy selfishly have her all to himself?" Gregory gently patted Matthew's forehead, knowing he had a good image in Matthew's mind.

"Is that selfish?" Matthew blinked. His kindergarten teacher had just taught him that good children should learn to share and not be selfish.

"No," Quentin answered for Gregory.

The domineering tone made Lauren's heart flutter, and she even felt a bit sweet inside.

Lauren couldn't help but think, 'Is Quentin declaring his sovereignty with that statement?'

"It seems Mr. Robinson likes to speak for others," Gregory squinted, his thin glasses unable to hide the dangerous aura he exuded.

"Mr. Walker, you also like to speak for others, don't you?" Quentin retorted bluntly, still bothered by what Gregory had said earlier.

Gregory wanted to impersonate him and hang around Lauren? What a joke!

Lauren wasn't blind!

Matthew also seemed to sense the heavy tension between Quentin and Gregory, so he obediently stepped aside.

"When I was young, I heard that when someone loses something, they keep losing other important things. First, you lost the company." Gregory paused, his gaze shifting to Lauren, "What do you think will be lost next?"

"Do you think you have a chance?" Quentin retorted, his tone unfriendly.

Gregory chuckled, reaching out to grab Quentin's chin, his grip seemingly strong enough to dislocate it. "Do you think you have the right to say that, lying in bed and being taken care of by a woman?"

"None of your business," Quentin glared at him, "Gregory, listen to me. Whether it's Robinson Conglomerate or Lauren, I won't give you either."

"Not long ago, you handed Robinson Conglomerate to me, and now you dare to say that," Gregory said disdainfully, "Don't you feel guilty?"

Quentin didn't reply, still glaring at Gregory. If looks could kill, Gregory would be riddled with holes by now.

"I must be foolish to waste so much time with someone who has nothing." Gregory let go, sighed lightly, then turned gracefully to face Lauren.

He took out a delicate red box from his pocket, knelt on one knee, and kissed the back of Lauren's hand. The series of actions was so smooth that Lauren hadn't even reacted before he kissed her.

She instinctively looked at Quentin, whose face was now very angry.

"Lauren, if you give up on Quentin and choose me, I can give you the entire Robinson Conglomerate," Gregory said enticingly.

"She doesn't want to," Quentin almost spat out the words through gritted teeth.

"Mr. Robinson, I wasn't asking you," Gregory said, not even bothering to glance at Quentin.

"And I didn't give you a license to propose to my wife," Quentin said.

Gregory ignored Quentin, looking at Lauren and repeating his words.

Lauren glanced at Quentin and then calmly refused. "No need, Mr. Walker. I'm not really interested in Robinson Conglomerate."
