Chapter 385 Meeting Gregory Again

"Betrayal?" Odette chuckled, a trace of sadness passing through her bloodshot eyes. How could she betray Quentin? If it weren't for Gregory's schemes, she wouldn't have ended up in this predicament.

"Are you unwilling to admit it?" Noah sighed. If he could, he really didn't want to believe it was true.

Odette closed her eyes and slowly said, "If I told you I was framed, would you believe me?"

Noah didn't answer. Odette took a deep breath and then exhaled, saying, "You should go. I'm doing just fine here."

"It was Gregory, wasn't it?" Noah asked. No matter how he investigated, the results always pointed to Odette as the culprit, unless someone had set her up. The only person who had the motive, means, and reason to do such a thing was no one else but Gregory.

"It seems you two don't get along," Odette said. She was now in the mood to chat with Noah.

"Who knows," Noah gave an ambiguous answer, then added, "You just need to tell me if it was him."

It seemed Noah didn't have the patience to chat anymore.

Odette pursed her lips and gave Noah the answer he wanted. "You're right."

Over the weekend, Noah visited the hospital again. Fortunately, Lauren had gone home to pick up Matthew, so Quentin didn't have to find an excuse to send her away.

Noah said, "I have to say, your brother is not a simple man, Quentin."

"Yeah." Quentin took the investigation results from Noah. Every word on the paper highlighted Gregory's talent and resilience.

Gregory was abandoned shortly after birth and later adopted by an orphanage. He had poor health and was frequently ill. By the age of nine, he had completed all the elementary school courses, and at twelve, he was admitted to a prestigious high school. By eighteen, he took over the Cloud Group.

Undeniably, Gregory was a genius. If Gregory had inherited the Robinson Conglomerate, it might have developed even better.

Quentin couldn't help but think. He had initially thought Gregory's success with the Cloud Group was due to some connections, but he was wrong. Not a single word on these papers mentioned anyone Gregory relied on, except for Gregory himself..

"He's impressive." Quentin put down the papers and exhaled deeply.

"So, are you really planning to hand over the Robinson Conglomerate to him?" Noah asked, fearing the affirmative answer just like last time.

"Not anymore." Quentin's gaze became sharp, which reassured Noah.

The strongest man in City A was back.

"I will personally take back the Robinson Conglomerate. As for Gregory, I will give him the best resources to grow the Cloud Group, even if it surpasses the Robinson Conglomerate in the future," Quentin said.

He knew what his decision meant, but someone had to repay the debts of the previous generation.

"Are you crazy, Quentin?" Noah lost his composure. "Are you so sure that a grown Cloud Group won't target the Robinson Conglomerate?"

Everyone knew that the Robinson Conglomerate had many enemies in City A but remained unscathed because it was the top entity in the city. If that title were taken away, the consequences would be unimaginable.

"I won't reconsider my decision," Quentin said calmly. He was well aware of Noah's concerns. "When the time comes, I'll have a way to handle it."

"You're insane!" Noah wished he could pry open Quentin's head to see what was inside.

Why did this man care so much about repaying so-called debts?

"I should let Lauren know! Let her hear what you've been saying!" Noah said.

Quentin waved his hand to reassure Noah.

"And when do you plan to regain your memory? Gregory has been controlling the Robinson Conglomerate for almost half a month!" Noah added.

Noah couldn't possibly be at ease. He had watched Quentin build the Robinson Conglomerate bit by bit, and now it was suddenly under the control of Quentin's newly emerged brother. How could he not be anxious?

"Soon." Quentin picked up a book and continued reading.

Noah sighed heavily, shook his head, and left.

However, a few minutes later, Quentin received an unexpected visitor.

"I heard you lost your memory?" Gregory raised an eyebrow, his gaze lingering on the bandage on Quentin's head repeatedly.

"Obviously," Quentin said, pointing to his head. He hadn't expected Gregory to come at this time.

Quentin's answer seemed to displease Gregory, who tapped his fingers on his leg. "So, you don't remember me either?"

"Who are you?" Quentin cooperatively asked, then saw Gregory stand up from his chair. Gregory grabbed his collar with one hand, his eyebrows raised, and the anger in his eyes seemed ready to burst through the glasses on his nose and burn Quentin to ashes.

"Are you kidding me? Quentin, do you think losing your memory will make me let go of the Robinson Conglomerate?" Gregory said, his tone extremely unfriendly, matching his slightly ferocious expression.

"I never thought that," Quentin said.

"I forgot, you're the kind of man who would give up his achievements for a woman." Gregory laughed, then changed his tone, "What do you think, if I went to Lauren with this face, would she mistake me for you?"

This statement enraged Quentin.

Since Gregory didn't intend to get along with his "amnesiac" self, there was no need to pretend anymore. After all, his goal had been achieved.

"She wouldn't." Quentin pried Gregory's fingers off one by one.

He would compensate Gregory, but not with Lauren!

"It's a pity you didn't become an actor," Gregory squinted his eyes.

"You too," Quentin said coldly. "Being able to pose as a low-level employee, fool Lauren, and infiltrate the Robinson Conglomerate, I must say, your skills are impressive."

"Thanks for the compliment," Gregory smiled.

They were at a stalemate.

"Daddy!" A child's voice broke in, along with Matthew, who was holding Lauren's hand.

"Mr. Walker, you're here too?" Matthew was overjoyed. The child didn't know what was happening between the adults; he only knew that Gregory had played with him happily on his birthday.

"Gregory?" Lauren's eyes widened. She quickly looked at Quentin, afraid Gregory might do something to him.

"Don't be so tense. I just came to see my dear brother." Gregory maintained his smile, though it made Lauren feel uneasy.
