Chapter 378 Interrogation

The car had just stopped at the entrance of the Cloud Group when someone came over to help Quentin open the door.

"Mr. Robinson, our boss has been waiting for you for a long time," the person greeted Quentin.

Lauren looked up at Quentin and saw that his face was grim.

Worried that he might do something drastic, Lauren quickly pulled Quentin away.

Quentin and Lauren arrived at the CEO's office, only to see that the name on the sign, which originally read "Steven Hill," had now been changed to "Gregory Walker."

"The guests are here, go get them some coffee," Gregory, sitting in the chair, instructed Steven.

"Yes." Steven said.

"No need," Quentin stopped Steven, "I'm afraid we can't afford this coffee."

Quentin questioned Gregory, "So this is the reason you came to Robinson Conglomerate?"

Gregory thought for a moment, nodded, and then shook his head.

"What do you mean by that?" Seeing Gregory's ambiguous attitude, Quentin became a bit impatient.

"Actually, I don't think much of Robinson Conglomerate," Gregory said slowly, "But you've been annoying me lately, so I did this."

"This is not my ultimate goal," Gregory's eyes turned fierce, "What I really want is everything you have."

Lauren couldn't believe that the man speaking such harsh words was the Gregory she knew.

"So everything you said before was a lie?" Lauren was heartbroken, "Including your kindness to me and Matthew?"

"No," Gregory said softly, "I genuinely find you interesting and wanted to get to know you better."

"Although at the beginning, I did have ulterior motives," Gregory admitted, "I thought I could use you to get close to Quentin."

"And you did, didn't you?" Lauren was filled with endless regret. It was because of her that Robinson Conglomerate was now facing such a crisis.

But no matter how much she regretted it, there was no way to undo it.

Lauren asked Gregory, "What exactly do you want?"

Gregory, perhaps not even answering Lauren's question, continued speaking to himself, "From a legal standpoint, Quentin, you are now in breach of contract, and you will owe me a large sum of compensation."

Gregory smiled slyly, "A sum that might even bankrupt you. But I don't want money; I'll give you two choices. One, transfer the ownership of Robinson Conglomerate to me. Two, give Lauren to me."

"What did you say?" Lauren couldn't believe Gregory would make such an outrageous demand.

"So, which one will you choose?" Gregory pressed Quentin.

Quentin knew that Gregory was targeting him, although he didn't know what deep-seated hatred Gregory had against him.

Since things had come to this, Quentin knew he had been careless and had to pay the price.

"Take Robinson Conglomerate," Quentin said indifferently.

Hearing this, Gregory was a bit surprised but quickly regained his composure, "I didn't expect you to be such a sentimental person, Quentin."

Lauren was naturally very touched by Quentin's choice, but she also felt a growing sense of worry.

"Without Robinson Conglomerate, I can always take some time to build another company," Quentin said coldly, "Unlike you, I have the capability."

Hearing Quentin's mocking tone, Gregory angrily stood up, "Quentin, what do you mean by that?"

Pointing to the Cloud Group, Gregory shouted, "Do you think I got the Cloud Group for nothing? I put a lot of effort into it."

Gregory tried to calm himself and sat back down.

"Unlike you, I have no parents to rely on," Gregory said with a hint of sadness, "I only have myself."

"Since you've made your choice, there's a transfer of ownership document on the table. Please sign it," Steven handed the contract to Quentin.

"So they had it prepared all along," Lauren began to despise Gregory, realizing that the seemingly warm and sunny man was actually using underhanded tactics.

Without any hesitation, Quentin quickly signed the document.

"Pleasure doing business with you, Mr. Robinson," Gregory smiled at Quentin, "You are no longer the CEO of Robinson Conglomerate. I should call you Quentin."

Quentin said, "We have plenty of time in the future."

After saying this, Quentin left with Lauren.

"What should we do now?" Lauren asked Quentin.

"Go back to the company," Quentin drove towards the company, "I need to let the employees know that I am no longer the CEO of Robinson Conglomerate."

Although Lauren couldn't see any displeasure on Quentin's face, she felt very guilty.

"Quentin, I'm sorry, it's all my fault," Lauren said, lowering her head and crying, "I shouldn't have trusted him so easily."

"This has nothing to do with you," Quentin seemed sincere, "This time, I was careless. I underestimated him."

Just then, Quentin's phone rang; it was Vincent.

"What's up?" Quentin asked.

"I had someone investigate Gregory privately," Vincent said, then hesitated as if unsure whether to continue.

"Go on," Quentin couldn't stand hesitation.

"He might be your biological brother." Vincent said.

Hearing this, Quentin was struck as if by lightning and abruptly stopped the car by the roadside.

"What happened?" Lauren was startled by the sudden stop.

Seeing Quentin's pale face, Lauren quickly asked, "Did something happen?"

"Go on," Quentin ignored Lauren and urged Vincent to continue.

"It seems that Mrs. Robinson was initially pregnant with twins, but due to financial difficulties at the time, they couldn't afford to raise both of you. Gregory also seemed to have a serious illness, so Mrs. Robinson had no choice but to give him away." Vincent said.

Hearing this, Quentin suddenly understood the meaning behind Gregory's words at the Cloud Group. "Unlike you, I have no parents to rely on. I only have myself."
