Chapter 353 The Wedding of Four
Soon, a week had passed, and finally, the day of Quentin and Noah's wedding had arrived.
The wedding was held at a church near the seaside, fulfilling Lauren's long-held dream of marrying her beloved Quentin there.
Inside the white church, a long red carpet stretched from the entrance to the altar. Pink roses adorned both sides of the aisle, and the priest stood silently with the Bible, waiting for the two couples to arrive.
Quentin and Noah, dressed in their suits, were also waiting quietly inside the church.
This was Noah's first wedding, so he was quite excited.
"Quentin, you know what? I still feel like I'm dreaming," Noah said to Quentin. "I never thought I could actually marry Sophia."
"Alright," Quentin replied, a bit impatient. This was probably the 324th time Noah had said this today, and Quentin was getting tired of hearing it.
Just as Noah was about to complain about Quentin's indifference, the chapel bells began to ring.
The doors slowly opened, and two children holding flower baskets walked in, scattering petals with each step. Following them were Lauren and Sophia.
They both wore snow-white wedding dresses, their veils slightly covering their faces, revealing their rosy skin and deep red lips, making them even more beautiful.
The wedding march began to play in the church, and Noah couldn't hold back any longer. He strode forward and took Sophia's hand.
"Why are you so impatient?" Sophia whispered, but her smile was unmistakable.
"I missed you so much," Noah said, tightly holding Sophia's hand.
Seeing Sophia being so gallantly taken away by Noah while Quentin stood motionless, Lauren started to get a bit upset.
Lauren huffed and stopped walking.
Seeing Lauren's jealousy, Quentin said nothing. He simply walked over and scooped Lauren up in his arms.
Quentin's action made everyone present envious of Lauren; she was truly happy.
"Look at them," even Sophia couldn't help but feel a bit envious of Lauren.
Quentin carried Lauren to the priest and gently set her down. Soon after, Noah and Sophia joined them.
The priest coughed a few times, signaling the audience to quiet down. "Mr. Robinson, do you take Miss Walker to be your lawfully wedded wife, for better or worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer? And Miss Walker..."
"I do," Lauren said, hugging Quentin before the priest could finish.
All the emotions Lauren had hidden for so many years came pouring out, and tears flowed uncontrollably. She had waited for this day for so long.
Seeing Lauren like this, Kimberly couldn't help but cry as well.
"Grandma, don't cry," Matthew comforted Kimberly, though he was also quietly crying. Finally, he had a father and wouldn't be teased by other kids anymore.
Seeing Lauren so emotional, Noah and Sophia were also moved.
Quentin released Lauren and lifted her veil. Her makeup was slightly smudged.
"You won't mind, will you?" Lauren asked, covering her face, not wanting Quentin to see her in this state.
Quentin said nothing, gently moving Lauren's hand away.
"Not at all, you're beautiful," Quentin said, wiping away her tears and kissing her forehead tenderly.
Lauren cried tears of joy and hugged Quentin tightly.
Seeing that Lauren and Quentin had calmed down, the priest continued with the ceremony. "Now, please exchange rings."
Lauren immediately recognized the ring; it was the one Jessica had given her when they first got married.
Seeing the ring brought mixed emotions for Lauren, both touched and saddened.
"If Grandma were here, she would be so happy," Lauren said, tears falling again.
"Grandma is blessing us from heaven," Quentin said, knowing how much Lauren loved Jessica, and he comforted her.
After blessing Quentin and Lauren, the priest performed the same ceremony for Noah and Sophia.
Outside, the sound of fireworks could be heard. Lauren and Sophia exchanged smiles and ran towards the beach, lifting their skirts.
The coastline was lined with white roses, and a band played music nearby. As the fireworks went off, colorful ribbons flew into the air and fluttered in the wind, turning the beach into a magical fairy tale world.
Lauren was so moved that she cried. She knew Quentin had promised her the most romantic wedding, but she hadn't expected him to put so much effort into it.
Lauren took off her high heels and ran quickly to Quentin, not caring about anything else.
Quentin had just stepped out of the chapel when he saw Lauren running into his arms.
"Are you satisfied?" Quentin asked, removing Lauren's veil and gently cupping her face.
"Very satisfied," Lauren said, nodding enthusiastically. "I'm so touched."
Lauren hugged Quentin tightly and said happily, "I don't even know how to repay you."
Hearing this, Quentin whispered in her ear, "How about we go back to our room now?"
Lauren's face blushed. She knew what Quentin meant and asked in surprise, "So early? It's not even dark yet!"
"When have we ever cared about time and place?" Without waiting for Lauren's response, Quentin lifted her onto his shoulder and walked towards a nearby villa.
"They really can't wait," Noah said, shaking his head in amazement.
"What about us?" Sophia pinched Noah hard. "Why can't you be more like Quentin?"
Hearing this, Noah refused to be outdone.
"If you're willing, we can go now too," Noah said, pulling Sophia along.
"You never learn anything good!" Sophia said, holding Noah's hand even tighter.
