Chapter 343 Returning to the Company
After Quentin pulled Lauren into his car, they hadn't spoken a word.
Lauren didn't know where Quentin was taking her, and she didn't dare to ask.
She glanced at the rearview mirror and accidentally met Quentin's gaze, which made her quickly turn her head away in fright.
"Is there something you want to say to me?" Quentin asked, noticing Lauren's troubled expression.
"No," Lauren blurted out, immediately regretting it.
Because there were too many things she didn't understand and wanted to ask Quentin about.
Lauren thought to herself, 'If Quentin asks again, I'll tell him.'
But to her surprise, Quentin didn't say another word after hearing her response.
"Is that it?" Lauren couldn't hold back any longer and said to Quentin, "Actually, I do have something to say."
"Go ahead," Quentin replied, still focused on driving, seemingly uninterested in what Lauren had to say.
"What exactly is going on?" Lauren finally voiced her confusion.
Everything had happened so suddenly today. Quentin had a complete fallout with Noah and Sophia.
Not only that, but Robinson Conglomerate was back in Quentin's hands.
This had been planned between Quentin and Noah, deceiving everyone.
Quentin didn't want to explain any more. To Lauren, everything seemed normal.
The only change was that Robinson Conglomerate was back under his control.
"You just need to know that I'm now the wealthy Quentin again, and that's enough." Quentin said.
At this, Quentin couldn't help but smile slightly.
Lauren was amused by Quentin's words. He really hadn't changed at all, still as arrogant as ever!
"Where are we going?" Seeing that Quentin wasn't driving home, Lauren asked.
"Robinson Conglomerate," Quentin replied, sounding somewhat annoyed.
Lauren remembered the last time the company's shares were transferred and how those people in the company had bullied them.
It seemed Quentin was going to settle the score, and Lauren knew a good show was about to unfold.
"Will they believe what you say?" After all, only the four of them were present earlier, and the company knew nothing about the inside story.
"I think they must have already received Noah's notice. They should be in the company right now, frantically discussing countermeasures. And I'm going to catch them off guard." Quentin said.
As he spoke, the car had already arrived at the entrance of Robinson Conglomerate.
As soon as the car stopped, a security guard hurried over to open the door for Quentin and Lauren.
"Welcome back to the company so soon, Mr. Robinson," the security guard flattered.
Quentin didn't even look at the guard, "You can go to HR to collect your paycheck and leave."
"What?" The security guard was clearly stunned by the sudden turn of events.
Quentin didn't say anything more to him, pulling Lauren along as they walked into the company, leaving the guard standing there in a daze.
'Quentin looked kind of handsome just now,' Lauren thought, her mind wandering with girlish fantasies.
Wherever Quentin went, the employees in the company all nodded and greeted him obsequiously.
People really did tend to follow the powerful. Seeing Quentin back in power, they all came to flatter him.
"Enough with the nonsense," Quentin said impatiently, "Go notify all senior management and other board members to come for a meeting immediately."
"Yes." Hearing Quentin's command, the employees quickly realized something was about to happen.
So, they didn't dare to delay for a moment and swiftly went to carry out Quentin's orders.
"You wait here," Quentin said, bringing Lauren into his office, "I'll come find you after the meeting."
Lauren nodded and watched Quentin walk out.
Actually, Lauren didn't quite understand why Quentin had brought her here, as she couldn't be of much help.
'Maybe he feel the earlier situation is too awkward, so he bring me along.' Lauren thought to herself.
After settling Lauren, Quentin headed to the conference room, feeling energized at the thought of dealing with those people.
Quentin scanned the room, looking at the senior executives who had already taken their seats. Last time, they had all been so aggressive, but now they were all shrinking back, not wanting to meet his gaze.
Quentin didn't rush to speak, making the atmosphere even more tense for those present.
After about ten minutes, Quentin finally said, "Since everyone is here, let's start the meeting. First, does anyone have any objections to my return to Robinson Conglomerate?"
Quentin lightly tapped the table, waiting for their responses.
Everyone knew this was Quentin testing their attitudes.
If they weren't careful with their words, they might be kicked out of the company.
"Of course not. We're all very happy," someone quickly flattered.
"Does anyone have any objections?" Quentin repeated again.
No one dared to speak up.
"Good, since you have no objections, I'll share my thoughts." Quentin paused for a moment before continuing, "I just gave you a chance, so when I speak, you just listen. No questioning, and objections are invalid."
Quentin made significant adjustments to the company's internal personnel, even spending money to buy back shares to oust some shareholders.
"I don't want any disloyal people in the company," Quentin explained his decision.
Next was the company's reputation. The reason Ethan had been able to poach employees from Quentin was largely due to the damage to Robinson Conglomerate's reputation.
But Quentin had a plan for that.
"I have an idea to restore the company's reputation." Quentin stood up and announced, "I'm getting remarried."
Just as everyone was astonished by Quentin's unexpected solution, someone pushed open the conference room door and walked in.
