Chapter 340 I'll Give It Back to You
Seeing Noah's aggressive demeanor, Quentin put down his utensils. The smile that had just been on his face vanished instantly, replaced by his usual coldness.
Seeing Noah and Sophia holding hands tightly, Quentin couldn't help but chuckle.
"So, are you here to get my blessing? But from the look on your face, it doesn't seem like that's the case," Quentin asked Noah, his tone quite provocative.
Lauren was startled by Quentin's words.
'Is he jealous?' Lauren thought, starting to feel a bit flustered.
"Sophia is my girlfriend now. I have two purposes for coming here today. First, Sophia wants to completely sever ties with you. Second, I have a score to settle with Lauren." Noah said.
"Settle a score with me?" Lauren was puzzled by Noah's words. She thought, 'Does he think I took Quentin away from Sophia? But now that Sophia and Noah are together, that doesn't make sense.'
Lauren wanted to ask Noah for clarification, but Quentin spoke first.
"Sever ties with me?" Quentin found it laughable. "Sophia, so this is the kind of woman you are. After seeing me penniless, you quickly threw yourself into Noah's arms. Quite fast, I must say."
"Quentin, I advise you not to go too far with your words." If it weren't for the years of friendship, Noah might have really rushed up to punch Quentin.
"More than you?" Quentin walked up to Noah, his eyes sharp enough to almost want to erase Noah from existence. "You took my family fortune, stole the woman by my side, and betrayed my trust."
Hearing this, Lauren's tears fell silently.
So Quentin always had feelings for Sophia, and Sophia hadn't lied to her.
The reason Quentin had been so warm to her these past few days was merely to make Sophia angry, so that Sophia would willingly return to Quentin.
Quentin had deceived her once again, using her.
Sophia noticed Lauren's despondency. She wanted to go up and mock Lauren, but with Noah and Quentin present, she had to give up.
After all, in their hearts, Sophia had always been the gentle, kind, and innocent girl.
'Lauren, you brought this on yourself. Why did you try to take what's mine? You're too naive!' Sophia thought to herself, her gaze falling on Quentin.
But unlike before, her gaze was no longer affectionate and tender, but cold and indifferent.
Sophia thought, 'Quentin, you can't blame me. Everyone has to look out for themselves. Even married couples consider their own interests when facing difficulties, let alone us who aren't even married. You treated me this way, so you deserve such a miserable end.'
Lauren, Quentin, and Noah didn't stop.
"You can only blame yourself for not cherishing what you had," Noah's smile had a hint of smugness.
Noah raised Sophia's hand and said to Quentin, "Now, Sophia is my fiancée."
Seeing the ring on Sophia's hand, Quentin could no longer contain his anger and punched Noah in the face. Quentin and Noah fell to the ground, fighting each other.
Quentin pinned Noah to the ground, cursing, "I see you only have this much ability, picking up what I discarded. It seems the Martin family doesn't care much about dignity."
This completely touched Noah's pride.
You could say anything, but never say a man was useless, especially in front of the woman he loved.
Noah knew Quentin's words were true. After all, to outsiders, it did seem like Noah had used some means to acquire Quentin's shares in Robinson Conglomerate, making Noah the president of Robinson Conglomerate.
Noah couldn't help but worry. He wondered if Sophia also thought of him as a useless man.
"Fine." Noah pushed Quentin's hand off him. "Quentin, I'll give Robinson Conglomerate back to you. I want you to know that I'm not inferior to you, whether in business or in love."
After saying this, Noah looked at Sophia.
'Did Noah just say he's giving Robinson Conglomerate back to Quentin?' Sophia thought, unable to believe her ears, feeling a bit at a loss.
Noah was too impulsive. Just a few taunts from Quentin, and he gave Robinson Conglomerate back. It seemed Noah wouldn't achieve great things in the future.
Sophia couldn't help but start blaming Noah in her heart, while also calculating what she should say and do at this moment.
If Noah really handed Robinson Conglomerate back to Quentin, Quentin would return to being the wealthy and powerful Mr. Robinson, and if Lauren and Quentin reconciled...
At this thought, Sophia didn't want to think further.
'Wouldn't that give Lauren a great opportunity? All my previous efforts would be in vain,' Sophia thought, feeling increasingly unwilling. 'So why did I marry Noah? In the end, I'm not as happy as Lauren, and my status is lower than hers?'
Sophia didn't love Noah, not even a bit. She had been using Noah from the beginning.
The reason Sophia agreed to be with Noah was because he had Robinson Conglomerate.
But now that Noah had given Robinson Conglomerate back to Quentin, and Quentin had just shown that he couldn't forget her, what reason did she have to stay with Noah and let Lauren get Quentin?
Noah and Quentin stopped fighting and stood up, starting to tidy their clothes.
"Sophia, are you really choosing to betray me?" Quentin raised his head slightly, looking at Sophia with a complex expression.
Sophia became more certain that Quentin still loved her, so she couldn't make the wrong choice.
After composing herself for a moment, Sophia was about to say something when she suddenly covered her face and started crying.
"Do you think I want to?" Sophia said to Quentin, full of grievances. "If I didn't do this, when would you ever notice me?"
