Chapter 348 Car Accident
When Sophia turned around, she saw Noah lying in a pool of blood.
"Noah!" Sophia couldn't believe what she was seeing.
Did Noah just save her?
The driver who caused the accident was also stunned by the situation and hadn't yet figured out what to do. Sophia, full of rage, marched towards him.
"Get down here!" Sophia shouted at the driver with red eyes. "Someone's life is at stake, hurry up and take us to the hospital!"
"Okay." The driver nodded dumbly, then finally snapped out of it, quickly got out of the car, and carried Noah into the vehicle.
The reporters who had followed Sophia out didn't expect to encounter such an event. They were thrilled and quickly captured everything with their cameras.
"Noah, you have to hold on, don't scare me." Sophia cried.
The door of the operating room separated Sophia from Noah, and she watched as Noah gradually disappeared from her sight.
Looking at her blood-stained hands, Sophia collapsed weakly to the ground. "Was it worth it? For me?"
Sophia didn't know what to do now. Praying silently for Noah was the only thing she could do. "Noah, as long as you wake up, I'll agree to anything you want."
After Sophia and Noah left, the other reporters in the hotel lobby also gradually dispersed.
Lauren looked at Quentin, who was silent, not knowing what to say.
"Let's go." Quentin suddenly stood up and said to Lauren.
"What?" Lauren was stunned for a moment. "Where to?"
"To pick up Matthew and go home." Quentin said.
"Okay." Lauren finally smiled with relief.
Yes, with everything that happened today, she almost forgot what the main event was.
Without changing clothes, Lauren got into Quentin's car.
Thinking about the family of three soon to be reunited and living happily together, Lauren couldn't help but feel happy.
"Today's incident was my fault." Quentin looked a bit apologetic, both angry and frustrated.
"It's okay." Seeing Quentin's expression, Lauren quickly comforted him. "After all, no one expected her to show up."
Actually, Lauren was more worried about the reporters than anything else.
Who knew what exaggerated headlines and content would appear in the news tomorrow after they returned to their companies.
"What should we do about the company?" Thinking about this, Lauren became a bit worried.
"Don't worry about it." Quentin held Lauren's hand. "As long as I'm here, nothing will go wrong. You don't need to worry too much. Just take good care of Matthew at home. Don't forget, tomorrow is our wedding."
But with what happened today, can the wedding still go on tomorrow?
But since Quentin told her not to worry, Lauren didn't ask any more questions.
Yes, with Quentin around, what difficulties couldn't be overcome?
Thinking this way, Lauren felt relieved again.
"We're here." Quentin stopped the car and went into her house with Lauren.
"Mommy!" As soon as the door opened, Matthew rushed over.
He was about to hug Lauren, but when he saw Quentin next to her, he immediately threw himself into Quentin's arms.
"You little rascal, you're so heartless!" Lauren pretended to be angry and jealous, gently tapping Matthew's forehead.
Matthew chuckled, "Can't help it, Daddy is cooler."
After saying that, Matthew made a face at Lauren.
"Yes." Hearing Matthew's words, Quentin nodded with satisfaction. "Matthew is indeed my son, he has good taste."
"You're back." Hearing the noise in the living room, Kimberly came out of the bedroom.
Due to the presence of reporters at today's engagement ceremony, Quentin didn't invite any relatives.
Kimberly understood this.
But thinking about what had happened before, Kimberly couldn't help but hold a grudge against Quentin.
Kimberly glanced at Quentin and then said softly, "Come with me for a moment."
After speaking, Kimberly went to the balcony alone.
Lauren was a bit worried, afraid that Kimberly might say something to Quentin, so she didn't want Quentin to go alone.
"I'll go with you." Lauren said.
"You stay with Matthew." Quentin patted Lauren's shoulder, signaling her not to worry. "Matthew hasn't seen you for so long, he misses you. Spend more time with him."
"But..." Lauren said.
Before Lauren could finish, Quentin walked towards where Kimberly was.
"Kimberly" Quentin said.
Having reconciled with Lauren, Quentin now called Kimberly.
"This is the first time you've called me that in so many years, I almost can't handle it." Kimberly said.
Kimberly was telling the truth. When Lauren and Quentin were together, Quentin always looked down on their family.
In Quentin's mind, Lauren married him for his wealth.
So Quentin always had a bad attitude towards Lauren's family and naturally called Kimberly "Mrs. Walker".
"Please forget about the past." Quentin lowered his attitude and spoke kindly to Kimberly.
Seeing Quentin like this, Kimberly's tone softened. "I didn't mean to make things difficult for you."
She just wanted Lauren to be happy.
Kimberly always knew that Lauren had never forgotten Quentin all these years. Now that they were reconciled, Kimberly was naturally happy.
She was just a bit worried, afraid that Lauren would go down the same path and get hurt again.
Kimberly added, "I just hope you treat Lauren well and treat Matthew well. I don't have many demands, just this one."
"Rest assured, they are my everything. I won't allow anyone to hurt them, including myself." Quentin assured Kimberly.
"Okay." Kimberly nodded, holding Quentin's hand. "I'll entrust Lauren to you once again. Don't let me and Lauren down."
Kimberly looked inside, where Lauren was happily playing with Matthew.
Seeing Lauren so relaxed and happy, Kimberly finally felt at ease.
"Mom, Matthew says he's hungry." Lauren called out to Kimberly.
"Who's Matthew's mom here!" Kimberly responded dotingly, opening the door and walking towards them.
