Chapter 365 Hot Springs
"Quentin, where are you taking me?" Odette clung to Quentin's arm, her face beaming with happiness.
Quentin didn't say anything and stopped walking once they reached the courtyard.
Looking at Quentin's face, Odette knew he was really angry this time.
"Quentin, please don't be mad," Odette tugged at Quentin's sleeve, apologizing repeatedly. "It's my fault for throwing a tantrum and making you unhappy."
"But I've seen you act like this many times," Quentin finally spoke.
Hearing Quentin say this, Odette felt a bit upset too. "You're the one who didn't keep your word."
"How did I not keep my word?" Quentin asked Odette, frowning.
"You said you would marry me." Odette replied.
Seeing Odette's serious expression, Quentin found himself at a loss for words.
In fact, Quentin had made that promise back then.
At that time, he had feelings for Odette, and since Odette had suffered a serious injury for him, he made that promise to her.
But things were always unpredictable. Later, Quentin met Lauren and fell deeply in love with her. They went through a lot together and had Matthew.
He felt guilty towards Odette.
That was why Quentin always indulged Odette.
"If you don't know what to say, then don't say anything," Odette interrupted Quentin. "Anyway, words said at this moment might not be trustworthy."
"Forget it." Odette quickly composed herself. "I'm tired. Take me to the hot springs."
"Okay." Seeing that Odette didn't bring up the issue anymore, Quentin felt much relieved.
Quentin helped Odette to the hot springs, which were very quiet and empty.
"Everyone else is still singing," Odette chuckled. "Perfect, it's just you and me here."
"You rest here. I'm leaving now," Quentin shook his head.
Odette didn't force Quentin, smiling lightly, "Please don't go, just stay nearby with me, or I'll be scared."
"Okay," Quentin nodded in agreement.
Odette struggled to change in the dressing room and then sat alone in the hot spring.
Her ankle, which she had twisted that morning, still hurt a lot, but after soaking for a while, she felt much more comfortable.
"Can you get me a bottle of water?" Odette felt thirsty from soaking in the hot spring.
"Sure," Quentin put down his phone, feeling thirsty himself.
"Okay, just a bottle of mineral water," Odette waved at Quentin. "Hurry back."
After Quentin left, Odette leaned against the edge of the spring, closing her eyes to rest.
Hearing footsteps, Odette smiled, "Quentin, is that you?"
Not hearing a response, Odette felt puzzled. When she opened her eyes, she saw it wasn't Quentin.
Odette was surprised. "What are you doing here?"
It was Declan.
Declan looked like he had drunk a lot, his face flushed, and his steps unsteady.
"I like you, Odette. I really like you," Declan said, slowly approaching Odette.
"Stay away," Odette, frightened, covered her chest and moved towards the center of the pool.
Her phone was in the dressing room, so she couldn't call for help.
Facing this situation, Odette was on the verge of tears. "Quentin!"
Seeing Quentin's figure, Odette felt a glimmer of hope.
As she called out his name, tears began to fall.
Seeing someone about to harm Odette, Quentin's face darkened as he quickly walked over and smashed the water bottle onto Declan.
Caught off guard and drunk, Declan fell to the ground.
"Quentin," Odette climbed out of the hot spring and threw herself into Quentin's arms. "You have no idea how scared I was just now."
Quentin recognized the man lying on the ground as the one Odette had rejected earlier in the karaoke room. If he remembered correctly, this man's name was Declan.
"Do you think you can do whatever you want just because you're drunk?" Quentin sneered.
Declan mocked, "Aren't you also using your position as the CEO of Robinson Conglomerate to toy with these women?"
"Don't think everyone is like you," Quentin said expressionlessly. "From today on, Robinson Conglomerate has no place for you. Pack your things and get out. Don't ever appear in front of me again."
"Quentin," before he could finish, Odette's legs gave out, and she almost fell.
Quentin quickly supported Odette, asking softly, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," Odette held her head, shaking it. "I guess I soaked in the hot spring for too long. I feel really dizzy now."
"Let me take you back to your room," Quentin suggested, seeing Odette's pale face.
"Okay," Odette nodded.
Worried she might catch a cold, Quentin took off his jacket and draped it over her, then carried Odette in his arms.
Odette was only wrapped in a blanket, which wouldn't look good if others saw her like this.
As they passed Declan, Quentin gave him a cold glare before leaving.
Lauren, who had planned to soak in the hot spring to relax, walked over with the others and happened to see Quentin and Odette.
Seeing Odette dressed like that, Lauren felt a pang in her heart.
"Oh my God," everyone gasped, covering their mouths. "Could this be the legendary hot spring love affair?"
Someone said, "Say less, Mr. Robinson's wife is standing right next to you!"
"Do you all have too little work to do? All you know is gossiping behind people's backs," Quentin retorted upon hearing them talk about him.
"We didn't mean that," the gossiping employees were so scared by Quentin's cold tone.
"Quentin, I feel awful," Odette curled up in Quentin's arms. "I'm so cold."
Saying this, Odette hugged Quentin even tighter.
"I'll deal with you all later." Quentin said.
After hurriedly saying this, Quentin left with Odette.
Lauren lost all interest in soaking in the hot spring.
"Ms. Walker, let's go," someone beside her tried to comfort Lauren.
"No need," Lauren's face was pale. "You all go ahead. I'm tired and want to rest."
"Okay," seeing this, the others quickly left.
