Chapter 377 The Truth

"Is there anything else?" Quentin said.

Hearing Quentin ask her this, Lauren hesitated for a moment before slowly saying, "Are you coming home for dinner tonight? I bought some groceries."

Lauren hadn't had a proper conversation with Quentin for a long time. She was worried that if this continued, they would become estranged even when they met.

Just as Lauren was unsure of what to say next, Quentin answered her from the other end of the phone. "No need to wait until tonight, I'm coming back now."

"What?" Lauren suddenly felt a bit nervous. "But isn't it still work hours?"

"I'm the boss of the company. If I say it's okay, then it's okay." Quentin's commanding words carried a lighthearted joy.

"Okay." Lauren nodded.

No matter what, the fact that Quentin was willing to come back made Lauren quite happy.

When Lauren got home, she found Quentin sitting on the couch reading a book.

"You're back." Quentin glanced up at Lauren and then continued reading.

"Yeah." Lauren put down her things and went into the kitchen.

After washing the vegetables, Lauren carefully prepared them.

Lauren felt Quentin hug her from behind.

It had been a long time since Lauren had been so close to Quentin, and she suddenly felt a surge of emotion, almost wanting to cry.

Lauren took a deep breath to calm herself and then continued to prepare the ingredients.

Quentin's kisses landed on Lauren's neck and then her ear.

Her heartbeat started to become uncontrollable, and Lauren didn't know how to respond to Quentin.

Quentin pulled Lauren to face him and then kissed her lips.

Quentin's kiss deepened, and his hands began to roam over Lauren's body.

Hearing Lauren's soft moans, Quentin could no longer control himself and picked her up, carrying her to the bedroom.

It was unclear how long they had been entangled, but Quentin finally let go of Lauren and turned over to fall into a deep sleep.

Lauren looked at the sleeping Quentin beside her, her heart full of tenderness.

'What's gotten into Quentin?' Lauren wondered, 'Did something happen to him?'

Lauren clearly remembered that they were still in a cold war, so how did they reconcile so quickly?

"What are you thinking about?" Quentin squinted at Lauren, who was lost in thought.

"Nothing." Lauren shook her head. "I just zoned out for a moment."

"Go to sleep." Quentin said, pulling Lauren down onto the bed.

Not caring about anything else, Quentin closed his eyes and fell asleep again.

Lauren smiled slightly. Seeing Quentin like this, she stopped overthinking. She gently wrapped her arm around Quentin's and closed her eyes.

By the time Quentin and Lauren returned to the company, it was already the next afternoon.

Seeing the company in chaos, Quentin couldn't help but feel puzzled. Hadn't he already resolved the issue with the investors? Why was it still like this?

"Mr. Robinson, you're finally back." Seeing Quentin enter the office, Vincent immediately approached him.

"What happened?" Quentin asked Vincent.

"Mr. Robinson, you should check the news." Vincent handed his phone to Quentin.

A small studio had launched their new product today, quickly gaining a huge response.

Quentin could hardly believe what he was seeing because the product that the small studio was selling was exclusively designed and produced by Robinson Conglomerate.

Even Robinson Conglomerate hadn't released it yet, so how did that small studio manage to replicate it?

There must be a traitor within the company who sold the design to others. They then used cheap materials and processes to produce the product ahead of Robinson Conglomerate.

Now, Robinson Conglomerate was not only facing project losses and total investment failure with no profit but also huge financial losses.

More importantly, Quentin had just sold the design rights to the Cloud Group yesterday, and now this happened. It was hard for Quentin to believe it was just a coincidence.

"Where are the design blueprints kept?" Quentin asked Vincent.

"Mr. Robinson, the design blueprints have always been kept by Ms. Walker from the design department." Vincent replied.

Quentin shook his head. "Lauren wouldn't do something like this."

Although Quentin had had many conflicts with Lauren before, he knew her character very well.

Lauren had also been involved in part of the design process, so she would never allow counterfeit products to appear on the market.

Thinking this way, it must have been someone else in the design department.

Soon, Quentin's suspicion fell on Gregory.

With this thought in mind, Quentin said nothing and rushed to the design department, ready to confront Gregory.

"Quentin, where are you going?" Seeing Quentin leave, Lauren quickly followed. "Wait for me."

"I suspect Gregory is behind this." Quentin told Lauren his suspicion.

"No way." Lauren found it hard to believe because if it were true, she couldn't escape responsibility either.

After all, Gregory was someone she had brought in. Lauren started to feel nervous.

Following Quentin to the design department, Lauren found that Gregory was gone.

"Where's Gregory?" Lauren asked the others in the design department.

"He submitted his resignation yesterday afternoon," a woman told Lauren. "His resignation letter is on your desk. As for where he went, he didn't say."

Hearing about Gregory's resignation, Quentin was even more certain that Gregory was behind all this.

"Quentin, I really didn't know." Lauren was flustered, afraid that Quentin would think she was involved.

"I know." Quentin nodded. "I also know where to find Gregory."

"Where?" Lauren asked.

"The Cloud Group." Quentin took a deep breath. It seemed like a very bad situation awaited them today.

"If you're going now, I'll go with you." Lauren held Quentin's hand.

Seeing Lauren's determined eyes, Quentin nodded.

Without delay, Quentin and Lauren headed to the Cloud Group together.
