Chapter 339 Confession Again
Noah was delighted after receiving the call. He rushed over quickly after hanging up, only to find Sophia crying heavily by the river.
"What happened?" Noah panicked and hurried over to ask Sophia.
"I never thought Quentin could change his heart so quickly," Sophia finally stopped crying and began to complain to Noah.
"Not only that, Lauren even slapped me hard." As soon as she finished speaking, Sophia started crying loudly again.
Noah had never seen Sophia so upset. Seeing the woman he loved being bullied like this, he couldn't stand it.
"No way," Noah said, turning around immediately, unable to wait any longer.
"I'm going to demand justice from Quentin and that Lauren for you." Noah's voice trembled with anger.
"No, don't." Sophia grabbed the corner of Noah's shirt and advised, "You've already had a falling out with Quentin because of me. He holds a grudge against you. I know you're just angry with him now, but once your emotions settle, you'll naturally return Robinson Conglomerate to him."
As Sophia spoke, she quietly observed Noah's expression. "I don't want any more conflicts between you two because of me."
"Sophia, you're too kind." Noah couldn't bear to see Sophia being so wronged and bullied, which only fueled his anger.
"Return it to him?" Noah sneered, "Why? What good does that do for me?"
Sophia deliberately widened her eyes in surprise, then with tears in her eyes, she asked, "Do you really mean that?"
"I never go back on my word," Noah said, holding Sophia's hand tenderly. "For you, I'm willing to do anything."
Sophia was now very clear about Noah's love for her.
Thinking of this, Sophia couldn't help but feel a bit delighted.
Since Quentin and Lauren were together and Robinson Conglomerate was in Noah's hands, why should she trouble herself by pursuing Quentin?
"Noah, I'm not worth you being so good to me." Sophia turned her head to the side, unwilling to see Noah's expression at that moment.
"Whether you're worth it or not is up to me Sophia. One day, you'll fall in love with me, and I'll wait for that day." Noah said, taking a diamond ring out of his pocket.
He had bought it the moment he reunited with Sophia.
But at that time, Sophia was still in love with Quentin, so the ring and Noah's love had been hidden away.
"When did you buy this?" Sophia asked, covering her mouth in surprise.
"Sophia, I love you. Will you marry me?" Noah said.
Faced with Noah's heartfelt confession, Sophia didn't know how to respond.
"I... I don't know." Sophia couldn't make a clear judgment. Choosing Noah at this moment, was it right or wrong?
"This is an engagement ring. Trust me, Sophia, I'll spend my whole life being good to you." Noah's words even carried a hint of pleading.
"You know," Sophia said, still looking like she couldn't forget Quentin, "I just broke up with Quentin not long ago. Although he let me down, I can't completely let go of him. I'm afraid that if I agree to you now, it wouldn't be fair to you."
Hearing that Sophia didn't directly reject him, Noah felt hopeful and said excitedly, "Sophia, I said I would wait, and I'll wait until the day you forget Quentin and accept me."
Sophia bit her lower lip, her eyes filled with tears. She seemed to want to say something to Noah but then closed her lips and fell silent again.
Sophia didn't hesitate any longer and tightly hugged Noah's neck.
"So, Sophia, does this mean you accept me?" Noah was so excited that he could barely speak clearly.
"Yes, I do!" Sophia responded loudly, "Noah, thank you for loving me all these years. Thank you for your patience and for waiting for me. I'll also wait for the day I come out of the shadow of this failed relationship."
Noah stood up, wrapped his arms around Sophia's waist, and lifted her, spinning around in circles.
Sophia screamed in fear, "Noah, don't throw me out!"
"How could I bear to?" This moment was probably the happiest of Noah's life.
What Noah didn't know was that the woman in his arms was actually deceiving him.
'Quentin, do you think I lack men? If you can find a lover, so can I,' Sophia thought viciously. 'Lauren, let's see who ends up happier.'
Noah gently put Sophia down, tenderly caressing her face, and asked, "Is this okay?"
Sophia could feel Noah's slightly heavy breathing and the strength with which he held her wrist. She knew Noah was completely in love with her.
"Yes." Sophia nodded, blushing.
Just as Noah was about to kiss her, Sophia shyly turned her head to the side.
Seeing this, Noah smiled slightly, cupped Sophia's face with both hands, and kissed her deeply.
Noah had been with many women, but perhaps because the woman he was kissing now was the one he deeply loved, he found this kiss extraordinarily wonderful.
With gentle touches, Noah and Sophia's lips intertwined, unwilling to part for a long time.
After a long while, Noah reluctantly let go of Sophia, resting his forehead against hers.
Seeing the blush on Sophia's face and her slightly breathless state, Noah couldn't help but feel a bit proud.
When it came to kissing skills, Noah was quite confident.
Noah pulled Sophia back into his arms and said seriously, "Now, let me go demand justice for you."
With that, Noah quickly got into the car with Sophia and drove to the café where Quentin was.
Just as Sophia had said, Lauren and Quentin were now very much in love, sitting together and eating like an inseparable couple.
"Look at you, living quite happily, aren't you?" Noah sneered.
