Chapter 393 Unknown Person

Quentin was holding his laptop  in the hospital, his gaze following the cursor on the screen to the email icon, which had just made a sound.

Could it be that Noah found Lauren?

Quentin couldn't help but think, then clicked on the icon. There was no email from Noah, only an anonymous email with a flashing red dot.

Quentin snorted disdainfully, convinced it wasn't from Noah.

Although Noah usually acted nonchalant, he wouldn't do something so trivial at a critical moment.

Quentin opened the anonymous email, and what greeted his eyes was an extremely provocative photo.

A man and a woman were naked and very intimate. The man's face was obscured due to the angle, but the woman's face was clearly visible.

Quentin was all too familiar with that face; it was Lauren.

Lauren's beautiful face was glistening with sweat, her cheeks flushed with a lovely red, her eyes closed, and her red lips slightly parted, clearly enjoying herself.

Quentin felt his brain freeze. He instinctively gripped the mouse until the plastic cracked, snapping him back to reality.

Lauren had sex with someone else?

Quentin's anger deepened, and he smashed the fish soup container that Lauren had left behind into pieces.

The loud noise startled Odette, who was about to enter the room.

Seeing Odette arrive at the hospital, Quentin quickly shut down the computer.

"Quentin, are you okay?" Odette rushed in, and seeing that Quentin was fine, she breathed a sigh of relief. "I thought something happened to you."

Odette's tone was coquettish, like she was being playful. She glanced at the shattered container on the floor and immediately understood everything.

"Quentin, I made fish soup for you. I know it's your favorite!" Odette carefully placed the fish soup on Quentin's bedside table.

Unfortunately, Quentin wasn't interested. He was more concerned about something else.

"How did you get out?" Quentin frowned, remembering that he had sent Odette to the police station while pretending to have amnesia.

Odette was momentarily stunned, then smiled and said, "Get out? Where should I be?"

"I wanted to see you. Is that not allowed?" Odette said playfully.

The aroma of the fish soup wafted into Quentin's nose, smelling even better than Lauren's, but for some reason, it didn't whet his appetite.

Odette wasn't worried that Quentin wouldn't like it. She had added something addictive to the soup. As long as Quentin took one sip, he would be under her control.

"Quentin, aren't you going to try a bite?" Odette asked.

"No, I'm not hungry." Quentin instinctively got out of bed and walked to the wheelchair.

"Quentin, your leg is healed?" Odette exclaimed. Quentin noticed his leg and bent his knee, finding nothing unusual.

"It seems it really is healed." Quentin responded briefly and walked into the bathroom.

With his legs recovered, Quentin looked much more spirited, causing hearts to appear in Odette's eyes.

"Quentin, I want you." Odette's face flushed as she gently hugged Quentin's waist, rubbing her chest against his back.

She had wanted to do this for a long time, but because Quentin's legs were unusable, she had held back. Now she didn't have to restrain herself.

Unfortunately, Quentin didn't feel what he should have; instead, he felt a tinge of disgust.

He gently removed Odette's hands from around him and said flatly, "I don't want to."

Odette's beautiful eyes showed disappointment. She hadn't expected Quentin to reject her.

'Is it because of Lauren?' Odette thought instinctively, then shook her head. 'Impossible. How could any man still think about his wife after seeing her in bed with someone else?'

Odette ultimately attributed Quentin's rejection to his lack of mood.

"By the way, Quentin, Gregory called the company looking for you. He wants you to go to the Cloud Group." Odette said.

Despite her girlish fantasies, Odette hadn't forgotten the task Gregory had given her. "Distract Quentin and make sure he doesn't go to the factory where Lauren is."

She thought Quentin would obediently go to the Cloud Group, but a voice suddenly broke Gregory's plan.

"I found some information about Lauren." Noah ran over with a relaxed smile on his face, but he couldn't hide a hint of seriousness. Seeing Odette, he stopped talking.

Quentin simply waved at Odette, signaling her to leave.

Odette was reluctant but obediently walked out. Noah watched her until she was far away, then quickly closed the door.

"Lauren, she's with Gregory," Noah said word by word.

He watched Quentin's expression closely. From the moment Quentin heard Lauren's name, his eyes lit up, but by the end, he was displeased—all in the span of a single sentence.

"I know," Quentin squeezed out the words through gritted teeth. "Prepare the car. I'm going to the Cloud Group."

Quentin coldly ordered, ignoring Noah, who hadn't finished speaking, and left the hospital room.

The Cloud Group.

"Sir, do you have an appointment? If not, Mr. Walker usually doesn't see people without a reputation," the receptionist said with a professional smile. She recognized Quentin from the headlines a few days ago.

She deliberately mentioned "people without a reputation" to humiliate Quentin.

"Tell Gregory to come down," Quentin said, unfazed by the receptionist's insult. He was in a bad mood but knew Gregory was the one who deserved his anger.

"Sorry, Mr. Walker doesn't see people without a reputation. Do I need to say it a third time?" The receptionist's face showed impatience.

Quentin finally turned his eyes away from the elevator and looked at the receptionist, saying coldly, "You don't need to tell him."

The receptionist showed an impatient expression, and then Quentin slowly finished his sentence. "After all, Gregory doesn't see people without a reputation."
