Chapter 245 A Happy Family at the Water Park
Quentin's gaze grew bolder. His fiery eyes were directly at Lauren, completely ignoring the presence of others.
Lauren, embarrassed, turned her face away and then jumped straight into the pool, making the water engulf her entire body.
Seeing that Lauren stop his look, Quentin put on an amused smile and casually said to Matthew, "Matthew, you're so grown up now. Is there anything I haven't seen?"
Matthew lifted his confused face and looked at Quentin, asking, "Daddy, what haven't you seen?"
Quentin chuckled and said, "There's nothing I haven't seen, which means I've seen it all."
Matthew nodded in understanding, then followed Quentin's gaze toward Lauren.
Lauren couldn't help but roll her eyes. Quentin was truly shameless and vulgar, saying such things in front of a child without a second thought!
She started thinking about Quentin, who used to be a notorious playboy. For those two years, he practically lived it up in strip clubs every day. Old habits died hard. His nature hadn't changed at all.
If Matthew really lived with him, it wouldn't be long before Matthew picked up his bad habits. Lauren was horrified and pulled Matthew over. She couldn't let those filthy words taint 3Matthew's innocent ears.

"Matthew, do you want to play on the slide?" Quentin tempted Matthew.

The slide was a very popular attraction at the Water Park, with long lines of people waiting from morning till now, showing its popularity.

Quentin seemed to see through Lauren's thoughts and continued to fan the flames in Matthew's ear with ill intentions.
"Matthew, a brave boy, should be willing to try and challenge. Do you want to hide in your mommy's arms like a girl and become a kid who's never seen the world? Otherwise, I won't come with you next time," Quentin said both positive and negative things, convinced that Matthew would make the choice he hoped for.

Matthew asked, "Mommy, Daddy will be with us, and he'll protect us. Can we go play for a while?"
Facing Matthew's plea, Lauren hesitated. She knew Quentin had a point. She didn't want to keep Matthew confined in her protective net. Matthew indeed needed more exercise to grow faster and better.
Lauren glanced at Quentin's expressionless face, feeling a bit angry. She didn't know if Quentin was deliberately teasing her or if he genuinely wanted to play with Matthew. In the end, she agreed.
"Alright, you two, play. I don't like such thrilling attractions. I'll wait for you here," Lauren said, then walked further away with a cold face.
Matthew was overjoyed when he heard Lauren agree, dancing with excitement. Quentin smiled, watching Lauren walk away. She was still the same, never one to say what she truly meant!
Quentin held Matthew's hand and headed to the slide to queue up. There was a long line ahead, with many kids eagerly waiting.
Quentin didn't like waiting in line, but at that moment, he was enjoying the process. 'Seeing other families chatting and laughing together makes me long for that kind of life with Matthew and Lauren.'
He smiled bitterly, despising himself for having such a silly thought.
Quentin looked down at Matthew's expectant face and gently said, "It'll be our turn soon. It would help if you stayed in my arms, and we'll slide down together. Next time, you can try it on your own, okay?"
Matthew nodded obediently. Without Quentin's company, he probably wouldn't have the courage to try this attraction alone.
Quentin affectionately patted Matthew's head. The slide was close to the pool where Lauren was, and they were standing at the highest point, which gave them a clear view of the scenery below.
Quentin picked up Matthew, making him sit on his shoulders, and said, "Can you see your mommy? Wave to her."
Matthew giggled, looking in Lauren's direction, but he couldn't find her after several tries.
"Daddy, I can't see Mommy. Did she come here to find us?" Matthew asked Quentin, puzzled.
Quentin thought it was unlikely. He knew the timid Lauren wouldn't come here on her own. However, she wasn't by the pool, so where could she have gone?
Quentin felt puzzled. He thought Matthew might not have looked carefully, so he stood on a nearby bench, looking over the dense crowd. He saw the pool.
However, something seemed to be happening by the pool. Some people were shouting and screaming in panic. The noise around Quentin was too loud for him to hear clearly, but looking at the scene below, a bad thought crossed his mind.
Quentin hurriedly ran to the front of the line, asking the staff to look after Matthew. Ignoring the strange looks from others, he took someone else's turn and slid down the slide at high speed into the water below.
Quentin didn't have time to enjoy the thrill of sliding down. He rushed to the pool where Lauren was, pushing through the crowd, and saw Lauren, barely conscious, in the arms of a staff member.
"I'm her husband!" Quentin said to the staff, looking at Lauren with concern.
Seeing Quentin arrive, the staff urgently said, "This lady is drowning. Let's treat her first."
However, Quentin didn't listen to the staff. He insisted on taking Lauren from their hands and ran to the shore.
Unable to stop Quentin, the staff had no choice but to help disperse the onlookers.
Quentin laid Lauren flat on the ground and performed CPR and correctly performed CPR and first aid on her. Soon, Lauren spat out a mouthful of water and slowly opened her eyes.
