Chapter 127 He Has a Keen Eye
Even though Elizabeth was shy, she went along with Mia's plans.
Mia was a home care nurse who really got it. She was super professional and took great care of Elizabeth.
Mia gave a gentle smile and said, "Mrs. Windsor, you blush so easily. No wonder Mr. Windsor is so into you."
Elizabeth stayed quiet.
"Mrs. Windsor," Mia called again.
"Yes." Elizabeth knew she wasn't really Alexander's wife, but she didn't bother correcting Mia. It seemed pointless.
"I think Alice wants a sibling too. With Mr. Windsor's money, he probably doesn't want just one kid. If you're planning on having more, you need to take care of yourself. Mrs. Windsor, don't move; I'm going to insert the suppository," Mia said.
Elizabeth didn't dare move.
After inserting the suppository, Mia told Elizabeth, "Mrs. Windsor, you need to stay in bed for at least an hour."
Elizabeth buried her head under the covers and mumbled, "Got it."
Mia, always understanding, left her alone.
Without Alexander around, Elizabeth slept soundly in his big bed.
Later, a knock on the door woke her up.
"Mrs. Windsor," Mia called from outside.
"Yes." Elizabeth, now awake and feeling much better, answered.
Mia's gentle touch and the meds had worked wonders. Elizabeth sat up and asked, "What's up, Mia?"
"Mrs. Windsor, Mr. Windsor had some clothes sent over from the boutique. Want to come out and try them on?" Mia asked softly.
A warm feeling suddenly filled Elizabeth's heart. She thought, 'I totally want them. I have nothing to wear, so I can't go out.'
She quickly put on Alexander's shirt and slippers and walked out. In the living room stood two female sales associates in professional attire, looking at Elizabeth with envy.
Elizabeth, with her messy hair and sleepy, lazy look, wore a shirt so big it could fit another Elizabeth, making her look even more slender and sexy.
The kiss marks on her neck and her long, beautiful legs, mostly exposed, made the two sales associates think she was a girl overly loved by Alexander.
Her delicate yet aloof demeanor could make every woman in Sunwillow City jealous.
But the two staff members didn't dare envy Elizabeth. They were there under orders from Alexander's assistant, Gavin, to deliver clothes to Elizabeth.
In Alexander's house, they didn't dare say a word more than necessary. Their main job was to take good care of Elizabeth.
"Mrs. Windsor," one of the women called gently, "where's the walk-in closet? We'll help you try on the clothes. If they don't fit, we can exchange them. But Mr. Windsor said he knows your size, especially your waist."
The sales associate's words were meant to be flattering, but they made Elizabeth blush.
Elizabeth instinctively lowered her head, avoiding eye contact with the two sales associates. She softly said, "Okay."
Mia led Elizabeth and the two sales associates to Alexander's walk-in closet. The sales associates were pros, getting Elizabeth changed in less than five minutes.
Both sales associates chimed in, "Mr. Windsor has great taste. Everything he picked, from underwear to outerwear, suits you perfectly."
Wearing the new clothes, Elizabeth felt a surge of confidence and poise.
One of the sales associates exclaimed, "Mrs. Windsor, you look stunning."
The other sales associate smiled. "Mr. Windsor has a keen eye. These clothes fit you perfectly and match your style."
"Thank you," Elizabeth said calmly.
"You're welcome, Mrs. Windsor. It's our honor to serve you. Shall we go back and report, Mrs. Windsor?" the two women said respectfully.
"Okay," Elizabeth replied.
The outfit, paired with flat shoes, made Elizabeth feel very comfortable and matched her skin tone well.
He really did have good taste.
And here she was, repaying a debt, yet still receiving such treatment?
While lost in thought, Elizabeth's phone rang. She picked it up and heard Alexander's voice on the other end, "Awake?"
"Yes," Elizabeth replied.
"Are you still uncomfortable?" Alexander asked.
Elizabeth stayed silent.
"I'm asking you a question!" Alexander repeated, louder this time.
"Are you waiting for me to recover so I can repay you? Or did you send these clothes to dress me up?" Elizabeth asked calmly.
Alexander was silent, snapping the pen in his hand in anger.
The unsigned contract was thrown into a corner, startling his secretary. "Mr. Windsor, what's wrong?"
"Terminate the contract with this company immediately!"
The secretary inquired, "But the contract..."
"The contract isn't signed yet. Terminate it!"
The secretary replied, "Yes, Mr. Windsor!" Then, picking up the contract, the secretary cautiously exited, still shaken.
What happened to Alexander?
A minute ago, he was speaking gently on the phone. A minute later, he was so angry he wanted to cancel a billion-dollar contract?
Who was on the other end of the line and dared to anger Alexander like this?
Meanwhile, Elizabeth was unaware and continued calmly speaking, "But still, thank you for the clothes."
Alexander hung up.
"Alice is there..." Elizabeth began, but the line was already dead. Hanging up, Elizabeth didn't care if she was still uncomfortable. Now that she had clothes, she wanted to go out to see Alice immediately.
"Mrs. Windsor, you need to rest," Mia called from behind.
But Elizabeth had already rushed out, taken the elevator downstairs, and was just out the door when a woman blocked her path.
"Elizabeth! I knew you were here!" Clara said viciously.
