Chapter 261 Mrs. Windsor, What's Going On?

Over there, Molly's usual arrogant yet leisurely voice came through, "Elizabeth."

Elizabeth glanced at Alice, who had just finished her milk across the dining table, gently coaxing, "Alice, Mommy needs to take a call. Why don't you go to the closet and pick out an outfit you like? Let Mommy see if you can dress yourself, okay, sweetie?"

"Okay! I'll make sure to match everything perfectly, Mommy." Alice answered. When Alexander wasn't home, she acted particularly independent, like a little adult, never causing Elizabeth any worry.

Watching Alice bounce into the closet, Elizabeth asked, "Molly, have you thought of a better way to mess with me?"

Molly giggled, "Hmm, you're a smart one."

Elizabeth continued, "Do you like Alexander?"

"What are you talking about!" Molly snapped, embarrassed at having her secret exposed.

"Isn't it true?" Elizabeth asked with a cold smile.

Molly asked, "How did you know I like Alexander?"

Elizabeth sneered disdainfully, "A selfish and twisted woman like you wouldn't come after me for Clara, or for your sister, or even for Robert. It could only be for yourself! Because you're jealous that I'm the woman by Alexander's side, isn't that right?"

Molly fell silent.

After a while, she said resentfully, "So what? You're already in deep trouble, and you still have the mind to guess these things?"

Elizabeth said calmly, "I don't care if you're human or a ghost. I just need to know how vicious you are so I can warn Alexander to protect his daughter!"

"Elizabeth, are you threatening me?" Molly asked, both jealous and angry.

Elizabeth replied coldly, "Threatening? I'm just someone who gets bullied. What leverage do I have to threaten anyone? You can do whatever you want to me, but if you dare touch my daughter, Molly, I'll show you what it means to go down together!"

Molly was silent, suddenly realizing that Elizabeth was not easy to deal with at that moment.

If Elizabeth were really as easy to bully as she seemed, she wouldn't have managed to deal with Harper at the architectural design firm or pushed Linda to the brink of being fired.

Elizabeth definitely had her ways.

Molly also realized that Alexander cared a lot about Elizabeth.

Thinking this, Molly's hatred for Elizabeth grew even stronger, mixed with fear.

Her tone became even more arrogant and domineering, "Elizabeth! Tomorrow at 2 PM, at the same hotel you visited yesterday. You'd better be on time, or face the consequences!"

"Alright! I'll be there!"

With that, Elizabeth immediately hung up the phone, not wanting to talk to Molly for another minute.

However, just as she hung up, Molly called again. Elizabeth paused for a moment but still answered.

"Elizabeth!" Molly said viciously, "You hung up on me so quickly. Don't you want to know what will happen at the banquet tomorrow?"

"No."

"Even if we..."

"Even if you kill me or strip me naked, so what? Molly, you are too immature to compete with me in shamelessness! No matter what dangers await tomorrow, I'll be there!" With that, Elizabeth immediately hung up the phone.

Molly was silent.

She stared at her phone for several minutes, then picked it up and smashed it to the ground, gritting her teeth, "Bitch, I'll make sure you die a horrible death!"

Next to her, Molly's sister Katherine picked up the phone and asked worriedly, "What's wrong? Why are you so angry?"

"Elizabeth, that woman, is still stubborn even when she's at death's door!" Molly said with her face twisting with rage.

Katherine worriedly said, "Harper and Elodie both have crossed paths with her and failed. I heard Clara never got the upper hand with her either. Even Laura lost her career because of her last time. Molly, you must be careful. Elizabeth is not simple."

Molly laughed wildly, "Harper and Elodie are such fools. Mentioning them insults me! Elodie didn't even dare to confront Elizabeth directly, begging Clara to step in. Clara, that arrogant and stupid woman, thought her grandfather could shield her from everything, so she ordered me to eliminate Elizabeth!  None of those fools can compare to me! If I want Elizabeth to die a horrible death, she will die a horrible death. Clara ordered me? I'll make sure it backfires on her!"

The more Molly spoke, the more pleased she became. Katherine also smiled broadly, "Molly, you were born in the wrong gender. You should have been a man. If you were, Dad would definitely have done better in politics than Gideon's dad in Pariz! Molly, make sure to vent my anger tomorrow."

Molly said even more lightly, "Katherine, if things go well, you might see results tonight. Just wait and see."

Katherine said, "I can't wait for Elizabeth to die right now!"

While they were cursing Elizabeth behind her back, Elizabeth was naturally unaware.

Since Molly demanded she attend the banquet tomorrow, Elizabeth knew it must be a trap, far more vicious than having Harper and Linda beat her with broken shoes at the office.

So Elizabeth decided to take Alice out for a fun day today.

They played outside all day and only took the bus back when it got dark.

As they were about to get off, Elizabeth held Alice's hand and spoke to the driver, "Please stop at the next station."

Earlier, she and Alice had been sitting, and Alice had wanted to sleep, so Elizabeth held her. No one on the bus had noticed her. But now, she stood at the front by the door, so several people glanced at her.

Some even whispered, "It's really her."

By this time, Elizabeth had already gotten off the bus with Alice, unaware that people were talking about her.

Of course, Elizabeth had no idea what was happening to her.

She took Alice home, washing up, and having dinner. Not long after eating, Elizabeth put Alice to bed. They were both exhausted from playing all day, and Alice was very sleepy. Elizabeth was also very tired.

Not long after putting Alice to sleep, Elizabeth fell asleep too.

She slept until morning.

Sometimes Elizabeth admired herself. Facing such immense pressure, waking up not knowing if she would still be alive, she could still sleep so soundly.

As soon as Elizabeth got up and went out, Mia, who had just returned from grocery shopping, handed her a newspaper, asking, "Mrs. Windsor, what's going on here?"
