Chapter 224 She is Very Attractive to Men

The elevator arrived at Elizabeth's floor. She straightened her clothes, grabbed her briefcase, and stepped out. As soon as she left, her colleagues started discussing.

"That Elizabeth is quite something. She just started working here and has already stirred up a lot of things."

"Elizabeth is such a bitch. When she first started, she acted all innocent like a bumpkin, fooling everyone. But she was actually messing around with Mr. Lavien."

"She pushed Harper out."

"I heard she's now Linda's boss in the design department."

"That was fast."

"Not just fast, but she deceived everyone with her harmless demeanor. In such a short time, she managed to win over Mr. Lavien, securing a good position in the company."

"I think Elizabeth is quite similar to that woman who had a conflict with Mr. Windsor six years ago, recently brought back by him. What was her name?"

"No idea. The news was tightly sealed back then. Only those from the elite families knew about it. Ordinary people like us wouldn't know such things."

As these women chatted away, they went to their respective workstations. Meanwhile, Elizabeth, carrying her briefcase, arrived at the design department. Her entrance caught the attention of several male colleagues.

She was really beautiful.

When she dressed plainly, she had a pitiful, endearing look. Now, dressed smartly yet femininely, she exuded a calm elegance and a serious work ethic.

No wonder she caught Robert's eye.

Several male colleagues had a good impression of Elizabeth.

"Elizabeth, you look beautiful today," Anthony Carter was the first to greet her. He didn't think Elizabeth was causing trouble, finding her quite normal. She had been diligent while helping Linda proofread. And it was a testament to her capability to become Linda's superior.

Elizabeth smiled at Anthony, "Good morning."

Her smile was warm and restrained, making people feel very comfortable.

Another male colleague, Aaron Evans, wheeled over with a cheeky grin, "Elizabeth, could you share some of your experience handling those site accidents with me? It might help me get a raise from the boss. If you're willing to teach me, I'll buy you the most expensive coffee! Over a hundred dollars a cup!"

Elizabeth agreed without hesitation, "Sure."

"Great!" Aaron exclaimed, snapping his fingers in delight, "I finally get to have coffee with Elizabeth. How about after work today? I'll buy you coffee, and we can have dinner and watch a movie."

"Sorry, teaching you is no big deal. Just observe and learn more on-site, and you'll get it. So, there's no need to buy me coffee, dinner, or watch a movie. I have plans tonight," Elizabeth politely declined.

Aaron fell silent.

Anthony chuckled.

Nearby, several female colleagues looked dejected. They had never seen the male colleagues so generous and enthusiastic. Watching them flatter Elizabeth as if she were a goddess made them envious.

Especially Linda, who was furious seeing Elizabeth dressed so well today.

She approached Elizabeth, saying, "Elizabeth, I'm your assistant now. Do you have any tasks for me today? Should I proofread your design drafts?"

"No need," Elizabeth replied.

Linda was silent, angrily saying after a few seconds, "Don't push me too far. Are you trying to force me to resign? I'm willing to proofread your drafts, and what more do you want?"

Elizabeth handed Linda some recently organized documents, saying, "Even though I'm your lead designer now, you still have your own independent design space and ideas. If I have time, I can help you proofread. Our work hasn't changed much. This is yours. Once you finish, if you trust me, you can give it to me for proofreading."

Linda asked, "Are you serious?"

"Get to work. I don't like idle people," Elizabeth said, not looking at Linda and focusing on her work.

Reluctantly, Linda muttered, "Thank you."

Elizabeth didn't look up.

She could tell Linda's reluctant thanks, so she didn't acknowledge it.

As long as they could coexist peacefully, that was enough.

She didn't intend to be friends with Linda. As long as they could learn from each other at work, that would be good. At the very least, Elizabeth wanted to learn from Linda's strengths.

The busy workday passing, Elizabeth still hadn't seen Simon in the company, knowing Simon was likely in Pariz taking care of the seriously ill Declan.

But whether Simon was there or not didn't matter to Elizabeth. She wanted to establish herself through her own work.

After work, Elizabeth received a notification from Alice's parent group, immediately joined the group.

There weren't many members, just over a dozen parents.

Since it was after work, Elizabeth had time to check everyone's profiles. She realized they were all wealthy socialites. Even the bags they carried were worth over ten thousand dollars.

It was her first time in such a group.

She didn't know what to say.

Elizabeth greeted politely, "Hello everyone, I'm Alice's mom."

After a while, only Mira responded, "Welcome Ms. Spencer to our chat. We'll include you in our activities from now on."

After Mira's response, no one else spoke.

But Elizabeth didn't mind, not interested in various activities anyway.

Besides, given her current relationship with Alexander, which was neither like a couple nor a contract, and not quite like a debtor and creditor, she really didn't want to participate in any activities.

She didn't know how to introduce herself or her husband, Alexander.

Did she have a husband?

Physically, yes. And he was the most powerful man in Sunwillow City, Alexander.

Thinking of this, Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh at herself. She laughed as she walked out with her briefcase.

"What made you so happy?" A deep voice appeared in front of Elizabeth.

Elizabeth looked up, surprised, asking, "Owen, what are you doing here?"
