Chapter 208 Clearing the Field for Elizabeth

After being carried into the bedroom by Alexander, Elizabeth realized that his train of thought was indeed quite erratic.

After work, they had discussed Robert, then suddenly switching to talking about her weekend plans. In the bathroom, they were discussing whether to exchange contact information, and now, with the bedroom door closed, Alexander was back to the topic of Robert.

In a moment of passion, he asked Elizabeth, "Who's better, your husband or Robert?"

"I don't know," Elizabeth replied, having no intention of answering his question. Besides, she barely knew Robert; how could she know if he was any good?

"You don't know?" Alexander sneered, "Then you'll have to endure more punishment!"

"You're better," Elizabeth replied.

"Who am I?" Alexander pressed on.

"My husband is a hundred times better than Robert," Elizabeth said, having learned to be clever.

Only then did Alexander become a bit gentler with her.

It wasn't until the moment before she fell asleep that Elizabeth realized Alexander was truly vindictive. He hadn't said anything at the company entrance because he had more torturous methods in store for her.

That night, Elizabeth slept deeply, exhausted, even not dreaming.

It wasn't until the next morning, when she opened her eyes, seeing the things in front of her, that she realized Alexander wasn't erratic; he liked to combine several things together.

Before carrying her into the bedroom yesterday, he had been talking about jewelry and luxury items. This morning, as soon as she opened her eyes, she saw a whole box of rare treasures on the nightstand.

Elizabeth, still groggy, was stunned.

Although she couldn't tell the difference between gemstones and diamonds, or agate and crystal, she could tell that this small box of jewelry was worth several villas.

"These should be enough for you to show off in front of Alice's classmates' moms, right?" Alexander's lazy voice behind her was incredibly seductive.

Elizabeth was speechless.

She had always been calm, and indifferent, rarely showing any desire for these things. But at this moment, she couldn't help but show a playful side.

She turned to look at Alexander, who was propped up on the bed with one hand, looking at him, and saying, "Is this because you want Alice to be happy, so you treat me so well?"

Alexander was silent.

"If I have more children for you, will you give me a box of jewelry for each one?" she pouted, asking childishly.

Elizabeth, usually cold and restrained, was incredibly alluring in her cute demeanor at this moment.

Without saying a word, Alexander flipped over and pinned her beneath him, kissing her soft lips before she could react.

All explanations were in Alexander's actions.

When Elizabeth woke up again, it was already ten in the morning.

Blushing, Elizabeth broke free from his embrace, hurriedly dressed, groomed herself, and ran out of the bedroom, calling, "Alice."

But she didn't hear Alice's voice.

"Where's Alice, Mia?" Elizabeth hurried to the kitchen, asking Mia, who was cooking soup.

Mia smiled at Elizabeth, "Mrs. Elizabeth Windsor, why don't you sleep more? Miss Alice Windsor was picked up by Gavin early in the morning. Mr. Windsor ordered him to take her to the amusement park. She was very happy when she left, even telling me not to disturb your sleep."

"Thank you, Mia." Elizabeth smiled at Mia.

Hearing Mia's words, Elizabeth remembered that Gavin had mentioned yesterday that Alexander was going to take her to learn to drive today.

She couldn't take Alice with her to learn to drive.

And with Gavin taking care of Alice, Elizabeth felt at ease.

After eating, Alexander drove Elizabeth to the driving school they had visited once before. Last time, it was near dusk, but this time it was in the morning, and it was the weekend. However, when they arrived at the driving school, Elizabeth noticed that besides three instructors, there was no one else there.

She watched as Alexander paid for the driving school. The person in charge was hesitant to accept the money until Alexander insisted, "Take it!"

Only then did the person dare to accept the money.

Twenty thousand dollars!

Did it really cost twenty thousand dollars to get a driver's license?

As the person in charge went inside to get a receipt for Alexander, Elizabeth looked around, then quietly said to Alexander, "I don't want to learn to drive here."

Alexander asked, "Why? I've already paid."

Elizabeth, in a somewhat reproachful tone, said, "You didn't even discuss it with me before paying. And you didn't even check out the place before paying?"

"What do you mean?" Alexander asked, looking at the strange Elizabeth, puzzled.

She wasn't usually like this; she was usually calm and composed. What was going on today?

Elizabeth explained, "Look at this driving school. There are only five people in total, and it's such a remote place. It's the weekend, but there isn't a single student here, just three idle instructors. The driving schools I've seen usually have one instructor with a dozen students, taking turns learning to drive. This place is so deserted. Such poor business means a bad reputation and poor teaching skills. And they still charge twenty thousand dollars?"

Elizabeth had always been frugal, considering every dollar she spent carefully.

It was indeed painful for her to spend twenty thousand dollars to learn to drive.

After she finished speaking, Alexander just looked at her with an expression she couldn't quite understand.

"What's wrong?" Elizabeth asked.

Alexander chuckled lightly.

At that moment, the person in charge came over, respectfully handing the receipt to Alexander and saying, "Mr. Windsor, here you go."

Elizabeth seized the opportunity to ask the person in charge, "Sir, why are there no other students here?"

The person in charge, trembling, replied, "Mrs. Windsor, with you and Mr. Windsor here, how could we let anyone else in? Mr. Windsor ordered the place to be cleared early this morning."

"Cleared?" Elizabeth asked, stunned.
