Chapter 149 As If Seeing Samuel
Elizabeth didn't even turn her head, calmly washing her hands.
"Hey!" Laura's voice grew colder, carrying an irresistible tone of command, "I twisted my ankle. Help me with my shoe, did you hear me?"
Elizabeth rinsed the sweat from her palms, looking back at Laura who was quite attractive, with an air of arrogance.
In contrast, Elizabeth appeared lazy and indifferent, her tone even more so, "Please move aside."
Laura, infuriated, tossed her wavy hair back and blocked Elizabeth's path with her chest out, saying, "You, a bar girl, don't know what's good for you? I'm helping you by asking you to help with my shoe! You know you're just a bar girl for Alexander! You should know that he will eventually torment you to death. Helping me with my shoe might save you. And now you're acting all high and mighty with me?"
Elizabeth really didn't want to argue with a stranger in the restroom, pinching her nose in disdain and saying, "Are you moving or not?"
Laura kept silent.
This damn bar girl, how could she be so arrogant!
Before Laura could react, Elizabeth suddenly pushed her aside and walked out, Laura stumbling and falling to the ground.
This time, she really twisted her ankle.
Laura got up, limped to Elizabeth, and grabbed her, asking, "Do you know who I am!"
She was about to explode with anger.
Although she hadn't fully integrated into this high society, she was already a top star in the entertainment industry. Many companies were vying to work with her, and many socialites were her fans.
Many people found it nearly impossible to get her autograph!
Maybe after this, she could shake hands with Alexander, and next time, have a private dinner.
But this bar girl, Elizabeth, treated her like air, deeply wounding her pride!
Elizabeth looked at Laura impatiently, replying, "No, I don't."
"Why are you covering your nose!" Laura asked viciously.
"Your scent is so strong that it makes me nauseous." Elizabeth said this, leaving the restroom.
She had no interest in fighting with a stranger, both being bar girls, what was there to fight about?
When Elizabeth came out of the restroom, Alexander had already returned from his phone call.
She had just sat down next to Alexander when Laura, in high heels and with elegant steps, returned to the man she was accompanying. Before Alexander could introduce Elizabeth, Laura smiled and asked the man beside her, "Mr. Bell, could you introduce the gentleman who just arrived?"
Dominic Bell was also the cousin of Samuel, who had been exiled abroad by Alexander.
In the early years, the Bell family was one of the top families in Aldoria. Later, in Samuel's grandfather's generation, Samuel's grandfather married two wives, each having a son.
The eldest son was Dominic's father, and the second son was Samuel's father.
By Dominic's father's generation, he had transferred most of the family's assets abroad, leaving Samuel's father with an empty shell of the Bell Group that was not only an empty shell but also heavily in debt.
Samuel's parents had managed to pay off the debts through conservative management and selling off most of the shares at low prices. Then Samuel and Elizabeth fled, having been on the run for six years.
Samuel's parents, in their search for Samuel, had to sell the company to Dominic, who had just returned to the country, at a low price.
Now, Dominic was the head of the Bell Group again.
Meanwhile, Samuel's family had been exiled abroad by Alexander, their fate unknown.
It was partly thanks to Dominic that Alexander was able to find Elizabeth and Samuel's address.
Dominic helped Alexander because he wanted to curry favor with Alexander and integrate into his circle, wanting to secure a place in Aldoria.
Moreover, Dominic thought it wouldn't be difficult to integrate into Alexander's circle because Dominic's wife was Gideon's cousin.
With this connection, Dominic was fortunate to be part of this gathering of Alexander's friends. Just as Dominic was struggling to find a topic to join the conversation, Laura took the initiative.
Laura was indeed a top international star.
Her every move was naturally elegant, and her social skills were top-notch. If she weren't his wife's best friend and her wife's family weren't so powerful, Dominic would have considered making Laura his mistress.
Prompted by Laura, Dominic immediately stood up and warmly said, "Let me introduce to you. This is Alexander Windsor, the business tycoon in Aldoria, the head of the Windsor family, and the top executive of the Windsor Group. Mr. Windsor, this is the rising international star, Laura Mitchell."
Laura politely raised her hand to shake Alexander's.
But Alexander didn't move.
Laura felt a bit awkward, but it was fleeting. She was good at easing her own discomfort, immediately extending her hand to Elizabeth beside Alexander, and asking, "Miss, you said you're a bar girl? Why are you staring at Mr. Bell? Are you making him your new target?"
Laura's tone was sarcastic, her gaze haughty as she scrutinized Elizabeth who continued to stare at Dominic, unblinking.
When Elizabeth had entered, she had only stood by Alexander's side, not looking around to see who was there. It didn't matter who they were because it had nothing to do with her. But now, seeing Dominic standing up and introducing the others, Elizabeth realized he looked remarkably like Samuel.
Elizabeth's eyes instantly reddened.
Alexander also noticed Elizabeth's unusual reaction.
He knew why her eyes were red, and his expression immediately turned cold and stern, glaring at Elizabeth who didn't notice and kept looking at Dominic.
The air froze, the room became noticeably quiet.
Even the mild-tempered Gideon, the calm Caspian, and the slightly restless Calvin were watching Alexander and Elizabeth.
The women also silently watched Elizabeth.
Laura, being an experienced international star, thought to herself that since she had finally entered this circle, today was her chance to shine.
Alexander brought Elizabeth here to find ways to torment her, right?
Then Laura would help Alexander, letting him have some fun.
She smiled politely, "Miss, Mr. Windsor was half an hour late today. Mr. Savoy mentioned that Mr. Windsor should be punished with thirty drinks. Since you're a bar girl, you should drink those thirty drinks. You can't just stare at the married Mr. Bell!"
Elizabeth dumbly glanced at Laura, then looked at Dominic and asked in a choked voice, "Mr. Bell, do you know Samuel Bell?"
