Chapter 98 It's About Making Elizabeth Die

Elizabeth asked in a numb tone, "Is Oliver buttering up Brent while secretly using me to get on Alexander's good side?"

Clara shook her head. "Not quite. In my dad's eyes, you're not even worth using to please anyone. You're just a prisoner, meant to rot in jail. He backs Brent because Brent's the real heir of the Windsor family. Helping Alexander is just his backup plan. If Alexander wins, my dad needs to cover his bases."

"Usually, Brent trusts my dad the most. When Brent decided to off Alexander, he gave the job to my dad. Originally, my dad was supposed to find a prostitute, use her, and then kill her."

"But my dad's smart. He didn't want the murder charge, so he figured it was better to use someone already in jail. After using them, they'd just go back to prison. So, he picked you. If Alexander died, they could pin it on you, already in jail, with an escape and murder charge, leading to a death sentence."

"This way, they could get rid of you, eliminate Alexander, and earn points with Brent. Plus, if Alexander succeeded, he'd owe his life to my dad. And the woman who saved him would be me. Not only did I save his life, but I also carried his child. Elizabeth, do you think we're pretty scheming?"

Elizabeth gave a faint, bitter smile. "Actually, the woman who saved him with her virginity before he died was me, not you. And the woman carrying his child is me."

"Exactly!" Clara smiled faintly.

"Your whole family knew?" Elizabeth asked.

Clara laughed recklessly. "Of course! Elizabeth, it was my dad who bailed you out of prison and sent you over. Our whole family knows. You've been very useful. Two years ago, you took the fall for me and went to prison for three years. You took our place to eliminate Alexander. Now that Alexander is successful, I immediately replace you and become his wife. You have been so useful, Elizabeth!"

She was waiting for Elizabeth to slap her, so Elizabeth would be immediately arrested by the police. At that point, no one would care about her, no matter how much she screamed in jail.

As soon as Elizabeth knew the truth, she went back to jail, and she might spend the rest of her life there.

That thought made Clara very happy.

Even if Elizabeth didn't go to jail, Clara could ensure she met a very tragic end.

"Elizabeth, do you know why I chose today, the morning of my wedding day, to tell you the truth?" Clara asked with interest.

Elizabeth just stared blankly at Clara, not speaking, her eyes unfocused, like a fool.

Seeing this, Clara felt even more eager to provoke Elizabeth. "Because yesterday at the Windsor Manor, you publicly offended the entire upper class. You even publicly offended Alexander. You smashed your own phone and told everyone you'd never come back to Aldoria or have anything to do with Alexander again. You swore yesterday, Elizabeth. If you go to Alexander today, what do you think he'll think of you? With his ruthless nature, I bet he'd kick you away. No, he'd kick your stomach. Just thinking about it feels wonderful."

The more Clara thought about it, the more she felt her scheme was genius.

After all, the smartest and most cunning person in the world was her mother, Lila.

This plan was Lila's idea, and even Oliver didn't know about it.

Lila had told Clara, "To completely get rid of Elizabeth, we need a risky plan. We need to tell Elizabeth the truth, that the child in her womb is really Alexander's."

When Clara first heard this plan, she was shocked and said, "Mom, if we do that, Elizabeth will definitely go to Alexander. Won't we be doomed?"

"We need her to cause a scene. The more she causes trouble, the more Alexander will hate her. Especially if she causes trouble on your wedding day. Even if Alexander doesn't get angry, Marcus, with his fiery temper, will definitely stab Elizabeth's belly with his cane. At that point, the child in Elizabeth's womb will turn into a pool of blood," the sinister Lila instructed Clara step by step.

The more Clara thought about it, the more wonderful it seemed. She said, "That's perfect, Mom. You're the smartest."

Lila said proudly, "We have one last foolproof plan. If Alexander and Marcus don't harm Elizabeth, then we will..."

Those words were whispered by Lila into Clara's ear.

Clara knew that today, Elizabeth wouldn't escape death.

Since she was doomed, Clara naturally wanted to tell Elizabeth the truth.

Seeing Elizabeth still sitting there, pale and looking like a fool, Clara felt a bit disappointed. She had hoped to see Elizabeth go mad and lose control, but none of that happened.

Elizabeth had no reaction at all; it was really boring!

"Elizabeth, I have one more huge secret to tell you, it's about..." Before she could finish, her phone rang. Clara impatiently picked it up and said, "Hello?"

It was Oliver. On the other end of the phone, he said, "Clara! Today is your wedding day with Alexander. Where did you go? Hurry back, you need to put on your wedding dress and enter the venue. The Windsor family is a very traditional aristocratic family, and Marcus is very particular about time. Where are you? Get back here immediately!"

Oliver was getting angry!

On such an important day, Clara was not at home early in the morning!

"Okay, Dad, I was just getting a beauty treatment. I need to look my best today, so I had to do some beauty treatments first," Clara said dismissively, "I'll be right back."

After hanging up, Clara was about to tell Elizabeth something when she noticed Elizabeth was gone.

Elizabeth was walking out of the coffee shop like a zombie. Clara was about to call her back when she looked down and saw the bracelet box still on the table. She opened it excitedly.

One look, and she was stunned.
