Chapter 178 Alice's Bias
Gavin was stunned, and so were Simon and Elizabeth across from him.
Simon instinctively shielded Elizabeth behind him, looking at Alexander with a mix of seriousness and panic and saying, "Alexander, if you have any anger, direct it at me. Don't make things difficult for Elizabeth; after all, she gave birth to your child. If you want to kill or torture, come at me."
Alexander didn't say a word, quickly yanking off his tie and then unbuttoning the top button of his shirt, revealing his bronzed, firm skin to Simon.
Alexander's cold tone sounded, "What are you thinking? It's a bit stuffy in the car, and I'm too hot, so I unbuttoned to cool off."
Simon asked, "Alexander, your neck, how did you get hurt?"
"Yeah, a wild cat scratched me," Alexander said nonchalantly.
Gavin and Elizabeth remained silent.
Elizabeth blushed and turned her head away, not looking at anyone, just raising her hand to touch Alice's hair.
Gavin was dumbfounded and very silent. Alexander's lying skills were not professional at all. Who had ever seen a wild cat scratch mark that looked like two rows of teeth marks?
Even if it was a wild cat bite, could a wild cat's teeth be the same as a human's?
Was Alexander jealous of Simon while declaring war on him?
Simon wasn't stupid, immediately seeing that the marks on Alexander's neck were not from a wild cat. He awkwardly smiled and then, in a tone that showed he understood Alexander well, advising, "Alexander, you see, you have plenty of beautiful women around you. Keeping Elizabeth, a woman who annoys you, by your side will only make you unhappy. Why not..."
Alexander chuckled lightly, pulled Elizabeth over, and held her in his arms, saying casually, "Mr. Jones, you misunderstand. Elizabeth is the wild cat I mentioned. Simon, you used your car to take my woman home, and I saw it. How do you explain that to me?"
Simon remained silent.
At this moment, Elizabeth was so ashamed that she didn't want to lift her head. She buried herself deeply in Alexander's arms, not even knowing how Simon left or how Alexander held her into the elevator.
Once home, Alice was taken to the dining room for afternoon snacks by the maid Mia. Elizabeth went straight to the walk-in closet to change into something more comfortable. She hadn't even closed the door when Alexander stood at the doorway.
He watched her with great interest.
Elizabeth bit her lip, not moving. Even though their relationship was intimate, she couldn't change clothes in front of him.
"Have your past experiences not taught you a lesson?" Alexander suddenly asked.
"What!" Elizabeth was baffled, asking.
"Mess around with Mr. Jones, aren't you afraid Declan will unite the entire upper circle of Sunwillow City to drive you out again?" Alexander explained his words.
Elizabeth remained silent.
No matter who drove her out, could it be worse than Alexander's relentless pursuit of her?
He had chased her all over the world!
Alexander is the least qualified to criticize others!
"Is he pursuing you?" Alexander suddenly asked.
Elizabeth wasn't sure what Alexander meant by this question. Was he jealous?
She thought it was impossible. She couldn't figure out Alexander, so she could only honestly explain, "I ran into him on the road. After all, he helped me back then, so I talked to him for a bit. The rain coming suddenly, I was worried about Alice and hurried back, so he offered to give me a ride."
"He looks at you differently! I'm a man; I understand men better than you. The way he looks at you is different from how he looks at other women," Alexander said.
Simon looked at her differently?
How could that be?
She was a woman captured by Alexander. Even six years ago, she was notorious in Sunwillow City, and Simon, whose family background was not much weaker than Alexander's, how could he like her?
At most, Simon felt a momentary guilt and pity for her.
After a while, Elizabeth self-mockingly asked, "Are you jealous of Simon?"
"Yes!" Alexander said straightforwardly.
Remaining silent, Elizabeth never expected him to answer like that.
He was jealous? How could that be?
Alexander's tone carried a hint of complaint, "Your Alice! In The Windsor Manor, she declared war and defeated two women in one morning. She is fiercely and dominantly protecting your rights!"
Alice wouldn't let him interact with any women outside. If anyone dared to offend Elizabeth's territory, five-year-old Alice would immediately teach them a lesson. But when it came to Elizabeth, Alice allowed handsome men to accompany her!
Is that fair?
How could he not be jealous?
He was fuming!
Elizabeth remained silent.
Hearing Alice was mentioned, Elizabeth immediately thought of what happened during the day. Just then, Alice came running into the walk-in closet with a small snack in her hand, tilting her head, looking at Elizabeth, then at Alexander.
Then she happily came to Elizabeth, saying, "Mom, squat down."
Elizabeth immediately squatted down, only to hear Alice say with a smile, "Gavin has some nice photos on his phone. That woman's face was hit by an old man and looked like a balloon. The finger marks on her face looked like patterns."
Elizabeth asked, "Alice, whose face was hit?"
Weren't the two women fighting each other?
How did an old man get involved?
Elizabeth just wanted to know if Alice had anything to do with it.
"It was that woman named Clara. She always says she's Dad's fiancée. And another woman named Sarah wants to be my mom. So shameless!" Alice's tone was very domineering.
Remaining silent, Elizabeth finally understood from Alice's complaints that there were two female guests at The Windsor Manor today, one was Clara, Alexander's legitimate fiancée. The other was Sarah.
Undoubtedly, Sarah should be related to the Windsor family's matriarch, Sierra, probably a distant relative.
Sarah and Clara were both people not to be offended.
And Alice had offended both of them at once?
Oh my God!
Elizabeth looked at Alexander in panic, saying, "Alice is just a child..."
Alexander snapped, "Do you know how bad the consequences of her actions were today?"
Elizabeth hadn't seen it, but she could imagine. Just as she was feeling anxious, Alexander's phone suddenly rang. He looked at it, immediately answering, "Hello."
On the other end was Clara's voice, "Mr. Windsor, I'm sorry."
