Chapter 158 The Mischievous Little Girl Who Appeared Out of Nowhere
Alexander's tone was flat but indisputable, "Last name is Spencer."
"You don't plan to acknowledge this child?" Sierra asked again.
Alexander's lips twitched, saying "Isn't that exactly what you all want?"
"You!" With his face turning red with anger, Felix yelled. "How can you be so ruthless! Even if I don't acknowledge you, you still have the Windsor name! You've inherited the Windsor family's vast estate! And now, you won't even let the child have the Windsor name! You truly are the most heartless!"
Alexander let out a cold, mocking laugh.
No matter what last name Alice had, she was still his child. Even if she followed Elizabeth and took the last name Spencer her whole life, she would still be the sole heir to the Windsor Group in the future!
These matters were not for anyone else to decide.
Alexander couldn't be bothered to explain to anyone.
He had a deep disdain for the Windsor name, not to mention his daughter Alice.
In his view, it was better for Alice to take the last name Spencer!
At this moment, Sierra sighed, "It seems the rumors are true that you really do despise Elizabeth. You brought her back just to punish her. Well, this way, you can give Declan an explanation, and also the high society of Sunwillow City. If you want to punish Elizabeth, just do it straightforwardly, which will save you from these trivial matters affecting your handling of the company's affairs. Also, it's time for you to marry Clara, the heir of the Guise family. It's been dragged out for six years now, and you're already in your thirties. You can't delay any longer!"
Sierra's tone was as if Alexander were her own son.
In fact, that was how she felt.
She was the matriarch of the Windsor family, and by the rules, Alexander should call her mother. Since her three sons had already passed away, leaving only Alexander in the Windsor family, she had to be assertive as the matriarch.
She intended to manage Alexander as if he were her own son.
In the future, when Alexander married, his wife would be her daughter-in-law, and Alexander's children would be her grandchildren.
Sierra looked at Alexander with a serious expression.
Just as Alexander was about to speak, a sharp, explosive child's voice suddenly erupted from beside him, "What explanation! Who despises Elizabeth? Do you mean despise my mom?"
Five-year-old Alice could understand everything.
Hearing the conversation among the adults, Alice could sense that they were speaking ill of Elizabeth.
How hateful!
She had just been planning to call Alexander "Dad"!
Bad guy!
As her cute eyes darted around with a mischievous glint, Alice looked at Alexander, who was tall and imposing. Then she looked at the bejeweled Sierra, who seemed fierce, and at Felix, who didn't seem as fierce, but Alice still felt she couldn't beat him.
After glancing at the four people in the room, Alice quickly made a decision.
She rushed to the bed where Marcus was lying, not even taking off her shoes, and climbed onto the bed, sitting on Marcus. Before anyone could react, Alice had already accurately poked into Marcus's nostril with her sharp little fingers, causing Marcus's nostril to ache.
Alice shouted, "You bad people! If anyone dares to hurt my mom, I'll beat this old man! I'll pull his nostril off and make him an ugly monster!" At this moment, she was like an invincible warrior, incredibly fierce, with the three people in the room being stunned.
Just then, the doctor responsible for Marcus came in for rounds, accompanied by some young doctors and nurses. A group of people stood at the door of the room, stunned, when they saw this scene.
For a full thirty seconds, no one reacted.
Finally, Marcus's attending physician was the first to react, saying, "Oh my! Mr. Windsor's condition can't take this kind of stress. Whose child is this? She is too naughty, too ill-mannered! Quickly, get her out of here!"
The doctor knew that the Windsor family didn't have such a young child. This definitely wasn't a Windsor family child, nor a Tudor family child.
So this child must have no relation to Marcus.
Just as the doctor was about to personally remove Alice, Marcus suddenly let out an old, hearty laugh, "My dear sweet Alice, you're about to pull my nostril off. It tickles, let go. If you're good, I'll give you some delicious candy. I'll scold them and make them apologize to you, okay?"
Alice's hand was still in Marcus's nostril, asking, "Are you serious?"
"Call me great-grandpa," Marcus coaxed.
"You make them apologize first!" Alice pouted, bargaining.
The previously sickly Marcus now seemed very spirited. He looked at the other three, commanding, "Apologize to Alice! Quickly!"
Everyone looked at Alice who was simply an unexpectedly mischievous and adorable little girl.
"Hurry up!" Marcus said with a stern face.
"Sorry," Felix said first.
Then Sierra also said, "Sorry, Alice."
Alice then looked at Alexander, ordering, "Bad guy, you too!"
Alexander smiled faintly, saying, "Alright, Daddy says sorry to you."
Only then did Alice satisfactorily pull her finger out of Marcus's nostril, causing Marcus to cough several times, with his face turning red.
The doctors and nurses rushed up to check on Marcus.
Alexander took the opportunity to lift Alice off Marcus and stood aside watching. After a series of checks and various tests, more than an hour had passed. When Marcus was wheeled out of the examination room, he was surprisingly in good spirits.
The doctor also smiled and said to Felix and Sierra, "It's really a strange thing. Mr. Windsor's condition was very serious yesterday, but his vital signs are very good today. His condition has greatly improved. In a few days, he can be discharged."
Felix immediately felt relieved, saying, "Thank you, doctor." After speaking, he glanced at Alice, who was sitting next to Alexander.
Although Alice was a girl, her features were very similar to Alexander's.
She was clearly a Windsor family child.
Her fearless behavior, suddenly climbing onto Marcus's bed and taking control of him, was astonishingly similar to Alexander's.
Both Alexander and Alice had very untamable personalities.
The more Felix looked at Alice, the more he liked her.
At this moment, Marcus said loudly, "This child must have the Windsor name!"
