Chapter 70 Dragging Elizabeth into the Private Room

The old dude yanked Elizabeth close, laughing like a maniac. "You got a memory like a sieve, girl. Back in college, you were always hitting me up for cash, calling me 'honey' and all that. Two years in the slammer and now you're acting all frosty? We that distant now?"

Elizabeth squirmed and yelled, "Who the hell are you? Let go! I'll call the cops if you don't!"

The guy looked way older than Oliver, like he had at least twenty years on him. How could he talk such trash? Elizabeth was itching to slap him.

But the old man had a grip like a vice, and she couldn't shake free. For someone who looked sixty to seventy, he was surprisingly strong. She couldn't break free at all.

"Call the cops? Why didn't you think of that when you were begging me for money and stuff? Now you wanna call them? Elizabeth, you think I'm stupid? You come around when you need something, and when you don't, you call the cops?" Wesley Green sneered at her.

Elizabeth's eyes widened. She suddenly got it and asked, "What's your deal with the Guise family?"

"My deal with the Guise family? That was all you! I sent them loads of stuff for you! Elizabeth, you seeing someone new?" Wesley acted like she was some old flame he had kept around.

It had to be another trap from the Guise family!

Elizabeth's anger flared up.

She stomped on Wesley's foot, making him let go. She reached into her bag for a blade she kept to fend off the Guise family. She was ready to cut Wesley, who was old enough to be her grandpa.

But before she could grab it, Wesley clamped down on both her hands, making her wince in pain.

Just as she was about to fight back, she spotted someone in the distance.

Alexander was looking her way, his face calm and indifferent, like he didn't even know her. He glanced at her once, then got into his car.

Gavin, standing outside the car, gave Elizabeth a double take. Then he leaned down and said to Alexander, "Mr. Windsor, that's Wesley Green, the head of the Green Group, the guy who once tried to kill you."

Alexander coldly ordered, "Drive!"

Gavin stayed quiet.

"To the cemetery," Alexander said again.

"Yes, Mr. Windsor." Gavin got in and drove off.

Gavin knew the cemetery business couldn't wait because Esme was already in a coma. It could be tomorrow, or the day after, no one knew when Esme might never wake up again.

Alexander had picked the best and priciest cemetery for Esme before. But now that the Windsor family was letting her be buried in their family cemetery, acknowledging her as one of their own, Alexander had to sort out her spot in the Windsor family cemetery.

As Gavin's car cruised past Elizabeth, Alexander didn't even glance Elizabeth's way, and she didn't look at him either.

She stopped fighting and yelling. She just let Wesley drag her to the car.

"Drive!" Wesley barked, and the driver took off.

"Damn, Wesley just snatched Elizabeth!" Owen, stuck at a red light, saw Wesley's car speed off.

As soon as the light turned green, Owen floored it to chase after them.

Samuel warned, "Wesley's a thug, Owen. Keep your distance."

Owen scoffed, "Man, Elizabeth's something else! She's married to Alexander, the top dog in Sunwillow City, fooling around with Simon from the Jones family in Aldoria, and now she's mixed up with Wesley."

"Wesley's Alexander's nemesis! When Alexander was down, Wesley tried to off him. Now Alexander's slashed Wesley's assets by nearly two-thirds, and the guy's desperate. Yet he still has the guts to grab Elizabeth from the hospital. She's no ordinary chick." Owen continued, shaking his head.

Samuel shot Owen an annoyed look, "And you still wanna mess with her?"

Owen smacked the steering wheel, "I wanna kill her!"

Samuel stayed quiet.

Owen and Samuel kept talking about Elizabeth while tailing Wesley's car until it pulled up at a bar. Owen looked up, "Velvet Moon Lounge, Wesley's on his home turf. Let's go see this old bastard!"

Owen parked the car.

Meanwhile, Wesley had already yanked Elizabeth out of the car. As they walked in, someone bowed to Wesley, "Good evening, Mr. Green."

Wesley ignored the attendants and just hoisted Elizabeth up, carrying her inside. One of Wesley's goons told the manager, "The best private room."

"Yes, sir!" the manager replied.

At the elevator, Elizabeth, still in Wesley's arms, stayed silent, her face calm. Wesley grinned wickedly, "Playing nice now, huh?"

Elizabeth didn't say a word. They rode up, and Wesley carried her into a private room, slamming the door shut.

Meanwhile, Owen and Samuel entered the lobby, watching Wesley take Elizabeth up but not catching which floor. They started searching the private rooms.

They searched for a good ten minutes, Owen sweating bullets. They went floor by floor until they hit the top. They found the most hidden, out-of-the-way private room in the corner and heard crying from inside.

They got closer and listened. The crying sounded like an old man's voice. Could Wesley have already started on Elizabeth?

Fuming, Owen kicked the door hard. He put so much force into it that the door flew open.

But what he saw left him speechless.
