Chapter 137 Teaching Her in the Office
Alexander's face suddenly changed, asking coldly, "What did you say!"
Elizabeth's heart turned cold. As soon as she stepped out of Alexander's home, she ran into Clara, hearing everything Clara said clearly. Clara was still Alexander's fiancée, while she was merely a tool for him. A tool to make money and pay off his debts. The man sitting on the sofa earlier, Gideon, was imposing and clearly not an ordinary person.
Since he was sitting in Alexander's office and talking to her, there was no doubt he was one of Alexander's clients who he wanted her to entertain.
This was probably just the beginning. When it would end would likely be the day her body gave out.
Thinking about her fate, Elizabeth couldn't help but feel a deep sense of pity, tightening her grip on Alice's hand.
"I'll obey your orders and do whatever you want. I only have one request: give Alice who is also your child a chance to live. If you don't want to raise her, send her to an orphanage. As long as she can live, that's enough," Elizabeth said, holding Alice and crying.
A surge of anger rose from Alexander's chest, almost making him want to strangle Elizabeth if Alice weren't there.
Just then, Gavin knocked on the door, "Mr. Windsor."
"Come in!" Alexander said, suppressing his anger.
As soon as Gavin entered and looked at the situation, he said, "Mr. Windsor? Should I wait outside..."
"Come in!" Alexander ordered again.
Gavin tiptoed in and cautiously said, "Mrs. Windsor, you're here too. Why aren't you resting at home?"
Elizabeth bit her lip, saying nothing.
"Mrs. Windsor, Miss. Windsor said she wanted steak for lunch. I just reserved a children's spot at a Michelin restaurant, finding a chef who specializes in cooking steak for kids. I'm here to take her to eat steak. If we delay, the steak won't taste as good."
Elizabeth looked up, her expression incredulous, and coldly asked Alexander, "Treating a hostage with such high standards, Mr. Windsor, how should I thank you? Is this to encourage me to work harder?"
Alexander looked at Gavin expressionlessly, ordering, "Take Alice to have lunch."
"Yes, Mr. Windsor." Gavin replied then looked at Alice, speaking softly, "Miss Windsor, let's go."
Alice looked at Elizabeth, her face full of anticipation. She, who had grown up in a backward place like Collinsport, had never seen a high-end restaurant.
Let alone eat steak at a Michelin restaurant.
However, if Elizabeth didn't agree, Alice wouldn't go, no matter how much she wanted to.
Seeing Alice's expression, Elizabeth felt a deep bitterness, gently saying, "Go ahead, Alice. Mommy heard that the steak at the Michelin restaurant is very delicious but has never had it. Eat some for Mommy too, okay?"
She tried her best to coax Alice.
No one knew what would happen tomorrow.
If Alice could enjoy a meal she had never had before, it wouldn't be a wasted life.
Alice immediately danced with joy, saying, "Thank you, Mommy! I'll go with Gavin now."
"Go ahead," Elizabeth said gently, nodding.
Gavin took Alice away, leaving only Elizabeth and Alexander in the office. Elizabeth calmly looked at Alexander, asking, "Mr. Windsor, tell me, who do you want me to entertain? I'll go now."
She spoke without noticing how furious Alexander had become. With a wave of his hand, he slammed the office door shut. The sound was so loud that it made Elizabeth jump in fright.
Elizabeth looked up and saw Alexander's menacing face.
"What... what are you going to do?" Elizabeth asked, terrified, as she backed away and sat on the floor.
Alexander sneered, "Aren't you in a hurry to entertain men? If you're so eager, don't you need to practice your skills first?"
Elizabeth stammered, "What skills?" Her teeth chattered in fear. Alexander didn't stop his pressure on her despite her fear, stepping closer to her.
Elizabeth retreated step by step until she was backed up against the sofa with nowhere else to go. Alexander lunged forward and scooped her into his arms, asking, "Elizabeth! Are you that eager to entertain men?"
Elizabeth was so scared that tears streamed down her face, crying, "Aren't you the one who told me to do it? You took Alice as a hostage! You said you'd take her away, and you did. What else can I do? You told me to entertain men and make money to pay you back, and now you're questioning me. Are Alice and I, two helpless people, not worthy of living? If we aren't, then just kill us!"
Elizabeth looked at Alexander with tears in her eyes that were filled with nothing but fear and defiance at that moment.
Alexander grabbed the back of her neck, his cold lips pressing against her cheek that was icy from fear, but her tears were scalding hot. Alexander sucked those hot tears into his mouth.
Elizabeth was stunned.
Alexander held her tightly in his arms, scolding, "You're such an ungrateful woman! There is no woman in this world having had sex with me and still acting so awkwardly? Only you! So stupid! So clumsy! If my daughter stays with you, she'll end up just as you!"
Elizabeth really didn't understand what he meant.
His tone sounded like he was flirting with her.
If it were six years ago, when she was taking care of Esme and they had a few days of mutual affection, Elizabeth would have thought he was being affectionate.
But now, Elizabeth wasn't dreaming.
Those pursuits, each one deadly, each one driving Elizabeth to despair. During this time, Samuel had become paralyzed from the waist down trying to protect her and Alice.
With all these experiences fresh in her mind, how could Elizabeth believe Alexander had feelings for her?
Did they ever have feelings for each other?
It seemed like they never did!
The only time they had was that night when she saved Alexander with her virginity, but he repaid her kindness with betrayal.
So now, Elizabeth wouldn't think Alexander had feelings for her, only thinking this was another way for him to torment her.
A way to mess with her mind and put her in a hopeless situation.
Elizabeth kept cursing herself in her mind, 'Elizabeth, don't be so cheap!' to keep herself awake, but her mind was still in chaos.
A cool breeze blew, Elizabeth's mind cleared for a moment. She immediately asked in a panic, "What... what do you want to do?"
Alexander smiled meaningfully, "Teach you."
