Chapter 220 Get Out

Elizabeth thought about it, agreeing.

Only Amara acknowledged her, giving her the family heirloom, but Amara was getting old, and the Windsor family would never actually let her have it.

Not only that, they didn't even prepare a seat for her in the main dining hall.

Elizabeth, knowing the situation, said to Alexander, "I ate too much this morning, I'm not hungry, and my stomach feels a bit uncomfortable. I want to lie down in the car for a while."

She remembered lying to Alexander earlier, saying she had her period, so now she pretended her stomach was hurting.

Alexander immediately smiled, whispering in her ear, "Stomach ache? Do you want me to rub it for you? Warm it up and it won't hurt."

Elizabeth was silent, her face turning very red.

When Elizabeth didn't know how to respond, Alexander had already taken her by the wrist, leading her into the dining room. Elizabeth sneered inwardly.

She couldn't escape the awkward situation.

Elizabeth's expressionless and lifeless look made Sarah feel very satisfied.

Before the meal, Sarah had cried miserably to Sierra, "Aunt Sierra, don't stay in this house anymore. There's no place for you here. Come back with me, and I'll take care of you. I can't stand seeing you, who have lived a life of luxury, being mistreated here. Amara is so senile that she can't even tell who's right and wrong anymore, giving that heirloom to Elizabeth. But Elizabeth accepted it!

Doesn't she know her own status?"Sarah added, "She was only married to Mr. Windsor to give his daughter a complete family! Aunt Sierra, that Elizabeth is a thief! She's here to threaten your position, Aunt Sierra. We should have some dignity and not stay in this house. We can live outside the Windsor Manor too, and I'll take care of you!"

Sierra was both touched and angry by these words.

"That damn Elizabeth!" Sierra slammed the table, saying, "Does she think I'm old and childless? How dare she come to the Windsor Manor and act so arrogantly just because she gave birth to a daughter for Alexander! I'll show her the power of the mistress of the Windsor family!"

Sierra's words made Sarah secretly happy.

Because of Elizabeth, Sarah's wrist was almost broken by Alexander, and half a month ago, because of Alice, Sarah was humiliated throughout the Windsor Manor, having a grudge with Declan's granddaughter Clara.

Sarah remembered all these grudges, determined to get revenge.

To get revenge, she needed Sierra's help.

Sarah and Sierra were using each other. Sierra had no younger generation to rely on in the Windsor family. If she wanted to live a stable and luxurious life in the Windsor Manor in her later years, she had to find a reliable wife for Alexander, someone Sierra could control.

That person was naturally Sarah, a distant relative of Sierra.

So, even though Sarah had a falling out with Clara, Sierra didn't kick Sarah out, still treating her like family.

Sarah understood this well.

So, at this moment, she hinted and exaggerated in front of Sierra, igniting Sierra's already existing anger towards Elizabeth.

Sierra ordered the servant in charge of the dining room, "Do not set a place for Elizabeth at the table today. She doesn't call me mom or talk to Alexander's father. If she doesn't acknowledge us, she shouldn't dine with us! Let's see who can do anything about it!"

Sierra was completely relying on her seniority.

No servant dared to disobey. Originally, there should have been ten people dining today, including Alice, but now there was one less place for Elizabeth.

With the table set, Sarah felt very smug.

She wanted to see how Elizabeth would handle herself. She was the first to enter the dining room, sitting in her usual seat.

Sarah greeted the Windsor family members warmly, acting very enthusiastic, knowing that Owen's parents also disliked Elizabeth.

Sure enough, they greeted Sarah, "Sarah, come sit."

Everyone knew there was one less chair and set of utensils.

But no one mentioned it, pretending not to notice.

Alice came over and sat down, then turned and saw there was only one chair left.

"One chair, how will my parents sit?" Alice said.

Amara, sitting at the head of the table, noticed and quickly said, "Sierra, we need an extra chair today because we have an extra person. Why didn't you arrange it?"

Sierra, with a frosty expression, said, "Mom! I must be getting old! I've been managing this household for over ten years, leaving me somewhat befuddled. I must be senile, forgetting to tell the servants to add a chair."

Amara immediately said, "It's not your fault. We have the same number of people dining every day, so it's normal to forget. I know, I gave Elizabeth that bracelet today, and you think I'm favoring her. But that's not my intention. I'm doing it for your sake. If I'm good to your daughter-in-law, Elizabeth will be more filial to you in the future."

Amara might seem senile, but her heart was clear.

She wanted to mediate and bring some peace to the Windsor family.

After persuading Sierra, Amara waved to Elizabeth, saying, "Elizabeth, Sierra may not be Alexander's mother, but she is his stepmother in name. Sierra has worked hard for the Windsor family all her life. Today is your first day in the family, how about you stand by Sierra and serve her during the meal?"

Elizabeth was silent.

If she was requested by Sierra, Elizabeth would definitely turn and leave.

She had no status or position, but she never bowed and scraped.

However, because of the kind and amiable Amara, Elizabeth hesitated. Besides, Amara made a good point. In a family, there must be mutual tolerance. For Amara and Alice's sake, Elizabeth nodded.

"Okay, Grandma." Elizabeth agreed, walking towards Sierra.

Sierra's expression improved significantly.

As Elizabeth passed by Sarah, heading towards Sierra, Sarah suddenly tripped Elizabeth who almost fell but was caught by Alexander.

"Sorry, I was just thinking it would be inappropriate for you to serve Aunt Sierra. I wanted to take care of her myself, but I accidentally bumped into you." Sarah said to Elizabeth with a fake smile.

Before Elizabeth could say anything, Alexander suddenly spoke, "Get out!"
