Chapter 332 Direct Questioning

The joy Elodie felt when she appeared was now matched by her disappointment and anger. She glared at Owen, shouting, "You actually went to help Harper, who is no better than a servant? In front of me, she's just a servant! And you told me to get lost for her?"

Seeing Elodie's tears, Owen remained unmoved.

All he felt for Elodie was disgust. "Whether she's a servant or your cousin, the fact is you took over her place, making her homeless because of your presence. So please move out."

"Who are you to drive me out? And who are you to Harper?" Elodie demanded.

"I'm not anyone to Harper; I'm just doing this at Elizabeth's request. Since everyone in Sunwillow City knows you're my fiancée, even if it's fake, I can't let you do something as despicable as taking over someone else's home!" Owen said sternly.

Hearing Owen say this, Elodie immediately felt a glimmer of hope. "Then tell me, if I move out of Harper's house, where will I live?"

She hoped with all her heart that Owen would say she could live with him.

Elodie used to look down on Owen, but now she felt that marrying Owen would be the greatest fortune of her life.

He was the sole heir of the Tudor Group and the only surviving grandson of the Windsor Family!

They said that even in decline, a giant was still a giant. Even though the Tudor Group was almost in decline, Owen's mother's shares in the Windsor Group still brought in hundreds of millions of dollars in income each year.

And what about Elodie? She had nothing. If it weren't for the clothes she had bought in the past, she wouldn't even be able to afford a nice outfit now.

Elodie looked at Owen expectantly, hoping he would say, 'Come with me, and be my lover! I won't give you any official status.'

Even if Owen said that, Elodie would nod, willing to be his lover.

However, Owen coldly said, "You can go wherever you want; it has nothing to do with me! If you could clear up in the major newspapers' entertainment headlines that you and I have nothing to do with each other, I wouldn't even bother coming here to drive you out today."

Elodie was silent.

"By the way, when do you have time? We need to clear this up in the media together to shut those people up," Owen asked again.

Elodie cried and shouted at Owen, "No! I don't have time, never have time, so just wait. You'll be my fiancé for life! And let me tell you, I'm not leaving Harper's house. Even though it's her house, it's also my uncle and aunt's house. They let me live there, and I didn't drive Harper out, so it's none of my business!"

With that, Elodie ran back home crying.

At home, Harper's father, Rhys Williams, and Ursa saw Elodie return so upset and immediately showed concern.

"Elodie, what's wrong? Owen still won't agree to reconcile with you?" Ursa asked, hugging Elodie.

Elodie raised her tear-streaked face and shouted at Ursa, "It's all because of your daughter! She's gotten so capable now, selling me out to Elizabeth to climb the social ladder, so despicable. She has stepped on my shoulders to get close to Elizabeth, and now she can even get Elizabeth to send Owen to threaten me, to make me move out of this house? I ask you! Who has the rightful place to live in this house, me or Elodie? Answer me!"

Hearing Elodie say this, Ursa gritted her teeth in anger. "That shameless Harper! I'll tear her mouth apart tomorrow!"

Rhys also said viciously, "I'll go with you tomorrow to get justice for Elodie!"

Harper's parents were true to their word.

They originally wanted to call Harper that night to make her come back, but when they picked up the phone, they remembered that Harper's phone was still at home.

The next day.

Rhys and Ursa came to the construction company early, waiting outside to catch Harper and give her a beating at the company entrance.

However, to their surprise, Harper had been picked up by Robert yesterday afternoon. He said the custom dress he had ordered for her was ready, and that she needed to try it on.

Harper tried it on, and since there wasn't enough time to come back for a second fitting, Robert suggested they wait there for alterations. After the alterations were done, they would go back. Because of this, they didn't return to the company to continue working. Harper had a lot of work to do, so she came to the company nearly two hours early this morning.

She had no idea her parents were freezing at the company entrance, waiting for her, with snot running down their noses.

It wasn't until Julia arrived at work that Harper's parents grabbed her to ask about Harper's whereabouts.

"Where's Harper? You came to work, but why didn't she? Is she messing around with Owen? That shameless woman! She even stole her sister's boyfriend," Ursa cursed Harper without any mercy, saying the most vicious and disgusting things she could think of.

Julia wasn't one to be trifled with either. "Oh, it's you? The way you're cursing Harper, I thought you were some enemy from her past. Turns out you're her mother! Wow, you're really going all out on criticizing your own daughter."

Ursa didn't care about Julia's sarcasm and grabbed her, saying, "Tell me! Where did that bitch Harper go? Why didn't she come to work? Is she with Owen? Tell her! If she dares to steal Elodie's boyfriend, I'll break every bone in her body!"

Julia shook off Ursa and sneered, "First of all, Owen is not Elodie's fiancé! Even if he were, they aren't married yet, so someone else can naturally take him away without breaking the law. And! Even if you don't care about Harper, someone else does. Do you know the Lavien Family? They are as prestigious as the Alexanders in Sunwillow City! Now, the youngest heir of the Lavien Family likes Harper very much, so she doesn't care about Elodie's ex-fiancé!"

Ursa was stunned for a moment. "What did you say?"

At this moment, Elizabeth also got out of the car and approached Ursa. She said slowly, "We said, Robert likes Harper very much, and Harper is about to become a member of the Lavien Family."

Julia rolled her eyes at Ursa. "You'll regret it, treating your own daughter so cruelly!"

With that, she linked arms with Elizabeth and went inside. "I brought breakfast for Harper. Let's take it to her."

Elizabeth nodded. "I brought her some too."

Ursa was silent.

Behind her, a cold male voice suddenly questioned, "Mrs. Williams, may I ask, do you remember your daughter's birthday?"
