Chapter 198 Love Time on the Driveway
The car speeding uncontrollably forward, Elizabeth shrank in Alexander's arms, crying and screaming, but Alexander remained calm. He held Elizabeth tightly with one arm, gripping the steering wheel with the other, and whispering in her ear, "Don't be afraid, I'm here. Relax your feet."
Elizabeth slowly began to relax.
At first, she didn't dare open her eyes. Gradually, as Alexander steadied the car, she dared to lift her head, still nestling in Alexander's arms, with him driving with one hand.
Elizabeth's heart pounded so loudly she could hear it herself, with her face gradually turning red.
The car drove a long distance.
This was a road specifically for driving lessons, there being no one else around.
Elizabeth didn't know when the car stopped, nor did she know when Alexander's kiss landed on her lips.
She only knew that when she came to her senses, more than an hour had passed. Her clothes were disheveled, with her red lips.
She was too shy to speak.
But Alexander acted as if nothing had happened. He drove the training car back to the driving school, and after getting out with Elizabeth, they saw Gavin had already brought Alice to pick them up.
Seeing Elizabeth's flushed face, Alice ran up to her, complaining, "Naughty Daddy and Mommy, you two were playing here without me! I'm not talking to you anymore."
With that, she pretended to be angry, running back to Gavin's car.
Gavin immediately turned to Alice, joking, "Miss Windsor, do you know why your parents came here to play without you?"
Alice shook her head; she really didn't know.
"Because when your parents were dating, you weren't born yet," Gavin said.
"I get it," Alice, a very smart child, replied.
As soon as Alice and Gavin finished their conversation, Alexander and Elizabeth arrived at the car. Gavin immediately got out to drive, and as soon as Elizabeth and Alexander sat in the car, Alice chirped, "Naughty Daddy, you should date Mommy more often."
Remaining silent, both Elizabeth and Alexander felt a bit awkward, but Alice was very happy. If they could date more often, it meant that what she did at Marcus's old house wasn't in vain.
That night, Alice sensibly didn't play with Alexander in the toy room for too long, pushing Alexander to spend more time with Elizabeth.
At that moment, Elizabeth was in the bathroom washing up.
She had been using the skincare products on the sink for the past two days, as they were very effective. Applying them felt very comfortable, so today she put on a face mask. After fifteen minutes, her skin felt hydrated, very moisturized.
Elizabeth could feel the change in her skin.
When Alexander came in, she had just removed the mask, washed her face, and applied the skincare products, turning around and seeing Alexander.
Alexander was momentarily stunned.
He had always known that she was beautiful and looked younger than her peers.
He used to think it was because she was calm and didn't get entangled in things, making her appear more youthful. But today, he suddenly realized that Elizabeth's skin was really good.
Especially when she was doing her skincare routine, her face was full of moisture. Even without makeup, she was captivating enough to hold his gaze.
Seeing Alexander looking at her like that, Elizabeth's face turned red.
Elizabeth's flushed cheeks looked like two patches of red. She didn't know what to say, whispering, "I..."
Before she could finish, Alexander's lips covered hers.
What wasn't completed on the driving school road was ultimately finished at home. Unconsciously, Elizabeth was carried into the bedroom by Alexander.
The beauty of that night needed no further elaboration.
The next day, Elizabeth felt great, thinking that if life could be like this, it would be perfect for her. The only regret was, where was Samuel?
Elizabeth didn't dare ask Alexander.
They weren't familiar enough for her to ask him where Samuel was.
Elizabeth decided to wait a little longer.
After breakfast, Elizabeth and Alexander routinely took Alice to kindergarten and then Elizabeth to work. Elizabeth got off near the company, taking six more bus stops to an internet cafe to look for jobs.
For a whole week, Elizabeth lived like this.
Until Monday of the second week, just as Elizabeth had taken only one bus stop, her phone rang.
Seeing it was an unknown number, Elizabeth felt a surge of excitement, guessing it was a response to her job applications. Sure enough, it was a company calling her for an interview. They asked Elizabeth to go to a construction site in the suburbs for the interview.
Although it was far, for Elizabeth, any job was good.
She was very happy and excited.
Elizabeth got off the bus, transferring to another route to the designated construction site. When she arrived, she saw many people arguing loudly.
What was happening?
She thought about turning back, but considering she had come so far for the interview, she felt reluctant to leave. She walked closer to listen, finding out that several technicians were arguing over a disagreement.
Listening more carefully, Elizabeth realized that due to a flaw in the initial design, some mistakes had occurred. The foundation having already been laid, it was impossible to fix it now, which was causing the technicians' dispute.
Elizabeth quietly walked closer, listened carefully, and observed the entire foundation situation, then squeezed into the arguing crowd and softly said, "I have a solution."
Her voice wasn't loud, but it was clear enough to command attention.
One of the workers wearing a hard hat looked at Elizabeth disdainfully, saying, "Where did this girl come from? Are you still in college? Why are you here? Leave, this is a construction site, not a place for you."
Elizabeth didn't move, insisting, "I really have a solution to this problem."
She wasn't just a designer; she had spent five years on construction sites, having experienced many situations. Besides, she liked to study various architectural proposals from across the country.
Her architectural knowledge far exceeded that of the average person.
"Elizabeth, what are you doing here?" A surprised voice asked from behind her.
