Chapter 200 Same Surname, Different Fate

Elizabeth and Robert sat side by side in the car. She didn't even look at Harper, nor did she acknowledge her, maintaining a cold expression.

Harper's chest heaved with anger. She really wanted to grab Elizabeth, smashing that face of hers that was so attractive to men!

But Robert blocked Harper, saying disdainfully, "Why aren't you working? What are you doing standing at the company entrance?"

Harper stomped her foot in anger, calling out, "Robert!"

Robert pushed her aside, not looking at her again. Instead, he bent down, making a gesture for Elizabeth to get out of the car. Elizabeth followed and got out.

Harper remained silent.

She watched as Elizabeth and Robert walked into the company together, seeing the way Robert looked at Elizabeth as if she were a goddess. Harper was so angry she almost spat blood.

She shouted viciously from behind, "Robert! Do you know what Elizabeth has been up to these past few days?"

Robert didn't even turn his head, replying impatiently, "I wasn't in Sunwillow City, so how would I know what she's been doing? Besides, do I need to know what she did?"

Harper was almost speechless.

She watched as Robert took Elizabeth into the elevator and went upstairs, crying bitterly behind them, venomously saying, "Robert! It's just as well you don't know. When I get upstairs, I'm going to let the whole company know what Elizabeth has been up to! I'm going to make you realize that Elizabeth is not only a homewrecker, but she's also a murderer!"

With that, Harper cried as she entered the company.

In the elevator, she took out her phone, texting Elodie.

Harper: [Elodie, why aren't you back yet? That bitch Elizabeth is so cunning and despicable. Not only is she seducing Owen, but now she's also going after Robert. Hurry back and deal with her!]

Soon, a message notification came through.

Elodie: [I'm out of town and can't come back for now. Keep an eye on her for me.]

Harper: [Elodie, who exactly is Elizabeth? Why is she so hard to deal with?]

Elodie: [I'll tell you when I get back. Now is not the time. Just make sure she continues working at the company.]

Harper: [If I have to let her stay at the company, I might as well let her go. But you want me to let that bitch go? She made me stay in the hospital for two days and almost killed me! How could I possibly let her go!]

Elodie: [I'm not asking you to let her go. I know Elizabeth very well. She really needs this job right now, and she won't give it up easily. You can go ahead and teach her a lesson. No matter what you do to her, she'll continue working at the company.]

Harper: [I can see that. She really wants to work here. I'll listen to you. Today, I'm going to deal with that bitch Elizabeth and get some revenge for you.]

Elodie: [You're doing it for yourself, aren't you, Harper?]

Harper: [Elodie, you know me best.]

Elodie: [If you're doing it for yourself, just admit it. Don't make up other excuses! It's annoying!]

Harper: [Got it, Elodie.]

After hanging up the phone, Harper bit her lip in humiliation.

She and Elodie were just relatives.

Although Elodie had lost her parents, she had lived in the Jones Mansion since she was young and was very much loved by Declan. Because of this, even though Elodie was an orphan, she was a proud presence in the Williams family.

What was the Williams family?

In Sunwillow City, they weren't even considered a middle-class family. The Williams family only had an old property in the city. Harper's mother used to be a worker, and her father just ran a small grocery store.

Originally, Harper, like other citizens, would have graduated from college, found a low-level job, and slowly climbed up from the bottom. By the time she reached middle management, she would be old.

Because of Elodie, the Williams family had undergone significant changes.

The most notable change was that Elodie got Harper a job at this company and specifically had Simon back her up. So, despite Harper's modest family background, she was well-known in the company.

Harper loved this identity.

In her daze, she even thought she was truly a daughter of a wealthy family in Sunwillow City. It was only when she communicated with Elodie on the phone that Harper deeply realized the vast difference between her and Elodie.

Because of her connection to the Jones family, Elodie could choose any husband she wanted in high society. Originally, Elodie was supposed to marry Alexander, the richest man in Sunwillow City, but because he had a fiancée, Elodie settled for Owen.

But even a man like Owen wasn't out of Harper's reach.

That was the difference between Harper and Elodie.

They both had the last name Williams and were so close, yet Elodie could navigate high society and look down on Harper's parents, treating Harper like a servant.

And Harper had nothing.

No!

She had to seduce a wealthy man.

Simon was out of the question. The Jones family would never let Simon marry Harper. Harper had placed all her bets on Robert. As long as she could marry Robert, she could become a true high-society woman.

She would not lose to Elodie.

Let's see if Elodie would still dare to be arrogant in front of her in the future.

With these thoughts in mind, Harper stepped out of the elevator. Because she had been communicating with Elodie, she hadn't looked at herself in the elevator. After exiting, she walked towards the company's logistics department.

In the logistics department, Harper picked up the microphone and adjusted her voice before saying, "Hello, everyone. I'm Harper. As a member of the company, I feel it's necessary to remind all the women in the company to be wary of Elizabeth. She is shameless! She almost broke up with my sister Elodie and her fiancé. Even now, she still has her eyes on Elodie's fiancé. Not only that, but she's also after our company's Mr. Lavien. She is the kind of woman who seduces every man she sees. Everyone must stand against Elizabeth!"

As soon as she said this, everyone in the company was stunned.

Then, many people started heading towards the logistics department one after another. In the large conference room of the logistics department, Harper was speaking passionately.

When everyone saw her, they couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Harper immediately asked, "What are you laughing at?"
