Chapter 238 Throwing Herself into His Arms to Thank Him

Alexander was silent.

Originally, he had planned to pick her up early and take her for a driving lesson, but she went home by herself? Did she have a falling out with her colleagues, or was she being ostracized by them, or what?

For a long time, Alexander didn't speak to Elizabeth.

It was Gavin who reminded him, "Mr. Windsor, why aren't you answering Mrs. Windsor? Mrs. Windsor is talking to you on the phone."

Only then did Alexander come back to his senses.

He lowered his voice and asked, "What's wrong? Why did you come home so early?"

On the other end, Elizabeth's tone was gentle, "I'm waiting for you at home."

With that, she hung up the phone.

Alexander was silent.

"Mr. Windsor," Gavin said deliberately from the front, "are we still going to pick up Mrs. Windsor from her company and then take you both to the driving range? Should I go pick up Miss Windsor by myself?"

"Go," Alexander said.

Since they were almost at the destination, Alexander wanted to go downstairs to the company to see why Elizabeth had suddenly come home early.

Gavin was silent. He wanted to remind Alexander that if he couldn't get into the company downstairs, he wouldn't hear anything. If he went into the company, everyone would be afraid of his presence, and he wouldn't hear any useful information.

But Gavin didn't say anything, afraid of being kicked out by Alexander again.

However, Gavin, who had always been loyal to Alexander, cautiously suggested, "Mr. Windsor, should I call Julia to ask what's going on?"

"No need!" Alexander flatly refused, his tone very cold, "I'd better go see for myself!"

Gavin said no more.

Alexander had always been like this; he wouldn't easily trust anyone. He only believed what he saw with his own eyes.

Alright then!

Gavin stepped on the gas, speeding to the company where Elizabeth worked.

He originally thought they would get nothing, after all, what could they find out just by being downstairs?

However, as soon as they parked the car by the roadside, they saw a few female employees walk out. They stood in front of Alexander's car, waiting for a ride while loudly gossiping.

"That Elizabeth is such a bitch! So outdated, she doesn't even know how to put on makeup, always going bare-faced. She looks like she came from some remote village, always thinking everyone is out to get her. So conservative, but deep down she's a total slut."

"Exactly, Mr. Lavien and Mr. Tudor hit on her, and even a few of our male colleagues spoke up for her today! It made me so mad, my chest hurt! I really don't know what kind of tricks she uses to seduce men! How come both men and animals like her! Didn't they say she has a husband? And she's still so slutty!"

"I bet her husband is just a decoration. Let me tell you a secret, I saw her flirting with the driving instructor at the driving school. A little over a week ago, when my boyfriend and I went for a driving lesson, I saw her being held by a male instructor in a coach's uniform, teaching her how to drive. She was so pretentious, so cheap and slutty!"

Inside the car, Alexander was silent, so was Gavin, who was driving.

The three women talked for about a minute before a taxi arrived. They got in, still chattering, "I really don't know what's worse about me compared to Elizabeth. Why don't rich men ever look at me?"

"You're not as pretty as Elizabeth, not as slutty as Elizabeth!"

"But Elizabeth is indeed beautiful. Men are visual creatures. Let's go get a beauty treatment! I must surpass Elizabeth in the future!"

The taxi left.

Gavin looked at Alexander, calling, "Mr. Windsor?"

"Go home!" Alexander said curtly. He didn't need to hear much; he could tell from the three female employees' words that the women here were very jealous of Elizabeth, because of her many suitors and her beauty.

Not to mention those women being jealous of Elizabeth's many suitors, even he, as Elizabeth's husband, felt uncomfortable!

Gavin responded, driving to the kindergarten to pick up Alice and then heading home. As soon as Alice got in the car and saw that Elizabeth wasn't there, she immediately asked, "Where's Mom?"

"I don't know!" Alexander said irritably.

Alice said, "Weren't you waiting for Mom at her workplace?"

"Didn't pick her up!" Alexander said with a cold face.

Alice glanced at Alexander and suddenly laughed.

Then, the five-year-old Alice, in a mischievous tone as if rubbing salt into Alexander's wound, said, "I know, it must be that the handsome men at Mom's company invited her to dinner, so she went on a date, and that's why you didn't pick her up. Am I right?"

Gavin was silent, really feeling nervous for Alice.

Although Alice was Alexander's child and the most precious child of the Windsor family, she shouldn't be hitting Alexander like this, right?

Gavin was afraid that in the next second, Alexander would open the car window and throw Alice out.

However, Alexander in the back seat just had a dark face but didn't open the car door, nor did he make any move to throw Alice out. He just kept a dark face and resolutely didn't answer Alice's question.

As a result, Alice became even happier.

She laughed so hard that her eyes turned into two crescent moons, "Bad Daddy, even if you don't answer me, I can still guess. Back in Collinsport, there were often very handsome men inviting Mom to dinner. They were so nice to Mom, and sometimes Mom would even ask me if I liked that uncle to be my new dad. No matter where Mom goes, there will always be many handsome men pursuing her. So, Bad Daddy, you have to work hard, be twice as good to Mom, or else Mom will be taken away by other handsome men!"

Alexander finally couldn't bear it anymore, asking, "Would you be happy if your mom was taken away by another man?"

"Of course! That means my mom is beautiful!" Alice said.

"What if I..." Alexander asked.

"You can't have any women! If you dare to have women outside, I'll beat that woman to a pulp!" Alice immediately glared at Alexander.

Gavin laughed, only to meet Alexander's murderous gaze. Gavin immediately said, "Mr. Windsor, we're home."

The car stopped, Alexander and Alice got out, only to see Elizabeth standing at the door of their building, waiting for them.

Alice immediately ran joyfully towards Elizabeth, saying, "Mom, you're actually home!" She ran up to Elizabeth, but Elizabeth didn't see Alice. Instead, she walked straight to Alexander and threw herself into his arms, saying gently, "Thank you."
