The grand hall of The Windsor Manor was packed with people, some familiar to Elizabeth, some not.
Elizabeth scanned the room and spotted Clara, Declan, Elodie, and Owen's parents.
The rest were strangers to her.
But they all stared at Elizabeth with disgust, like they couldn't wait to get rid of her.
"You're here!" Marcus, sitting in the center and looking down, said to Elizabeth.
"If you have something to say, spit it out!" Elizabeth shot back coldly.
"First, you need to apologize to everyone here! Secondly, you need to..."
"Apologize?" Elizabeth cut him off, "I haven't done anything wrong, why should I apologize? And some of these people, I don't even know. Why should I apologize to them?"
Marcus didn't expect her to interrupt.
He yelled, "You uncultured fool! You think just because you showed up today, we'll go easy on you? You better watch yourself!"
Elizabeth shivered.
She'd been out of prison for over two months and had learned a bit about the Windsor family. They had immense power in Sunwillow City and were one of the top families in the country.
The Windsor family had been entrenched in Aldoria for over two hundred years, wielding substantial influence. They could squash her like a bug, controlling her fate with ease.

"Apologize to everyone here!"
Elizabeth's tone softened, "Mr. Windsor, isn't this too much? At least four people here I've never met, why should I apologize to them?"
Even if she had to apologize, Elizabeth wanted to know what she had done wrong. No matter how ruthless Marcus was, if it wasn't her fault, she would rather die than apologize.
"You want to know why?" Marcus asked.
"Of course!"
"First, Clara." Marcus pointed at Clara, "She's Alexander's fiancee and is pregnant, yet you keep trying to seduce Alexander. Don't you feel guilty towards Clara? Elizabeth remained silent, raising her eyes to look at Clara.

As the dagger fell to the ground, Alexander held Elizabeth in his arms and shouted, "Are you out of your mind?"
