Chapter 83 I'll Give You a Hundred Thousand Dollars, Get Out Immediately
Samuel was caught off guard for a moment, then glanced awkwardly at Elizabeth. He forced a smile and turned to Alexander, saying, "Mr. Windsor."
"I don't like repeating myself," Alexander said, his tone steady.
Samuel quickly got up and left.
He knew just how dangerous Alexander could be. Even though Alexander sounded calm, he could end Samuel's life in an instant.
Once Samuel was gone, Alexander walked over to Elizabeth, his expression stern.
Elizabeth asked calmly, "Mr. Windsor, are you here to handle the divorce papers? But right now..."
She glanced at her two injured arms.
Alexander, however, said, "You're quite the expert at seducing men! First me, then Owen and Wesley, now Samuel? He's even feeding you himself?"
Elizabeth asked, "What do you mean?"
"Are you enjoying Samuel taking care of you?"
Elizabeth stayed silent. She just felt that Alexander was inexplicably angry today.
The anger in his eyes was obvious.
Alexander was really pissed.
Every time he saw Elizabeth with another guy, he felt this weird, intense anger!
He couldn't figure out why.
Ever since Elizabeth moved into his place for the first time, when she came out of the bathroom after a shower and bumped into his arms, he had a feeling.
He always felt that the woman who was with him that night should have been Elizabeth, not Clara.
Lately, Alexander had been dreaming about Elizabeth a lot.
But dreams weren't reality.
The reality was that the woman who endured all the pain that night and saved his life was Clara.
Even though Alexander knew this, every time he saw Elizabeth with another man, he couldn't help but feel a surge of anger.
Just like earlier, Alexander almost killed Samuel.
Even Samuel felt the killing intent from Alexander and was scared off by it.
Running out to the hospital corridor and into the parking lot, Samuel was still in shock, clutching his chest. As he started to calm down, he saw Gavin standing by Alexander's car.
Gavin walked over to Samuel and said in a teasing tone, "Mr. Bell, even though you often mess around with Mr. Tudor, I've always thought you were more cunning and steady than Mr. Tudor. What made you do something so reckless today?"
"What did I do wrong?" Samuel asked, still shaken.
"You almost lost your life just now, didn't you?" Gavin asked with a smile.
Samuel asked irritably, "Gavin, how do you know?"
"That's why I say you're clueless. Haven't you noticed that anyone who dares to provoke Ms. Spencer—or rather, anyone who dares to provoke Mrs. Windsor—ends up in a bad situation?"
Samuel shuddered violently.
"Didn't you notice that Mr. Windsor cares a lot about Mrs. Windsor?" Gavin said with a smile.
Summoning up his courage, Samuel suddenly spat out, "Whether it's Owen, Simon, or Wesley, or even Mr. Windsor, they're all men! Bullying a defenseless woman at their mercy, isn't that shameful? Especially Mr. Windsor, his mother was also a pitiful woman, does he have no compassion for Elizabeth?"
After speaking, Samuel stared resolutely at Gavin.
He never had the guts to say those things before, even though he always wanted to. But Gavin pushed him to the edge, and he just blurted them out.
"Gavin, you can kill me, but please, leave my family out of this. Three months ago, the Windsor family feud caused a huge mess, dragging a lot of families into it, but the Bell family stayed out of it. So, could you please talk to Mr. Windsor and ask him to spare my family? We've never caused trouble for him or his mother."
Gavin looked at Samuel warmly and said, "Mr. Bell, I didn't expect this side of you."
Samuel stayed silent.
"Stay away from Owen in the future; he's not worth your time," Gavin said.
Samuel laughed bitterly and said, "I wasn't a good person before either. I'm no better than Owen. It's just that recently, because Owen often teases Elizabeth, I've gotten to know a bit about her. I like Elizabeth."
Hearing Samuel say he liked Elizabeth, Gavin replied, "I'll pretend I didn't hear that. Now get out!"
"You're not going to kill me?"
"Can't be bothered with you. Get lost!"
Samuel expressed his gratitude, "Thank you." Then he drove away.
Watching Samuel leave, Gavin suddenly smiled, then turned and walked towards Elizabeth's hospital room. As he got closer, he heard the conversation between Elizabeth and Alexander inside and stopped.
"A while back you were all tangled up with Wesley and Owen, now it's Samuel. You sure keep busy, Elizabeth! So, who are you trying to seduce in this upper circle? Want me to lend a hand? How about it?" Alexander asked coldly.
Elizabeth replied calmly, "Mr. Windsor, are you all so idle? Especially you, to come and ask such a boring question to an insignificant woman like me?"
Alexander stayed silent.
"Aunt Esme has already passed away, so I have nothing to hide from you," Elizabeth sighed. "I neither want to seduce you, nor Owen, and certainly not an old bastard forty years older than me who could be my grandfather. As for Samuel, who just tried to feed me chicken soup, I don't even know him. When I got out of prison, I just wanted to find a job to survive and settle down slowly."
"It was you! You brought me into this mess, making me like a ball, kicked around by all of you. It was you!" Elizabeth said angrily.
"So what do you want now?" Alexander asked patiently.
"Give me fifty thousand dollars," Elizabeth gritted her teeth. "I've already given up the money stated in the contract I signed with you because I felt it was a blasphemy against my feelings for Aunt Esme, I won't take it. Besides, if I'm not mistaken, even if I asked you for it, you wouldn't give it to me, right? So I don't want it, the contract is void. I just want fifty thousand dollars now. Give me fifty thousand dollars, and I'll disappear from this city immediately. As for the city registration I mentioned before, I don't want that either. I want to start fresh in a new city, completely cutting ties with all of you."
"Fine!" Alexander suddenly said, "I'll give you a hundred thousand dollars. Now get lost!"
