Chapter 245 He's Going to Pariz

The woman talking to Elizabeth was someone she had never seen before. She was somewhat attractive, dressed more luxuriously than Mira.

Not far from her, a Bentley worth nearly two million dollars was parked.

Elizabeth could tell at a glance that this woman was a wealthy lady.

The woman's tone was unpleasant, and Elizabeth could sense it. However, because of the trouble Molly caused earlier in the day, Elizabeth didn't want any more complications.

Elizabeth immediately asked humbly, "May I ask who you are? I'm sorry, I've been too busy these past few days to keep up with the replies in our group. But I did participate in the party organized by our group. Could you tell me if it's at a hotel or someone's house? Whether it's at a hotel or someone's house, I'll pay whatever it costs. I'll actively respond to the group's call."

After hearing Elizabeth's words, the wealthy lady sneered, "Are you saying this at the kindergarten entrance to let other parents know you're actually rich and not avoiding us? If you really want to join our party, I'll give you another chance. Go home and carefully read our group chat! Don't tell me you've already read it and are just pretending not to know!"

She implied that Elizabeth had already read the chat records, but she pretended not to know and didn't reply.

In fact, Elizabeth really didn't know.

She was busy with work during the day and wasn't a social person, so it was hard for her to keep up with the group messages.

But at this moment, Elizabeth, wanting to quickly take Alice home, hurriedly said, "Okay, I'll read it when I get home. I'll go now, bye."

With that, she took Alice and left.

"Mom, you seem a bit distracted today?" Five-year-old Alice was already sensible and could see that Elizabeth was absent-minded.

Elizabeth smiled and asked Alice, "Is it that obvious?"

"Yes!"

"Tell me, do you like your dad?"

Alice thought for a moment, replying, "Hmm, I like you more."

"I'm asking if you like your dad?"

Alice replied firmly, "I like you both."

Elizabeth was silent.

As they approached Alexander's car, Elizabeth asked Alice again, "I already know you like me. I wonder if you like your dad when I'm not around."

Alice insisted on her answer, "I just like both of you. I like us three being together forever."

Elizabeth suddenly understood that Alice was very smart. She didn't want either of her parents to leave her. She had already tasted the happiness of having both parents together, so she stubbornly said she liked both mom and dad and liked the family being together.

Elizabeth's heart sank.

She had thought about it. If Molly was just out to get her, she could endure it. But if Molly, Clara, and possibly Elodie, those women from the upper echelons, left her no way out, she would have to accept it. But she would first make Alexander promise to love Alice forever.

Elizabeth couldn't care about much else now. The only thing she could protect was her child.

Once in the car, Alexander immediately asked, "Who was that woman?"

Elizabeth absent-mindedly replied, "I don't know her."

"Mom, I know her. She's Angela White's mom, my classmate." Alice answered eagerly.

So it was the group leader. She finally met her today.

Alexander looked at Elizabeth and said irritably, "Alice knows more people than you!"

Elizabeth was silent, not answering and just looking out the window.

Alexander looked at her.

What was wrong with her today?

Elizabeth had always been quiet, but today she was unusually so, as if her soul had left her body. Just in the past few days, she had been like a gentle deer, often seeking him out, snuggling into his bed, and happily resting her head on his shoulder.

But what was wrong today?

Alexander looked at the distracted Elizabeth and touched her forehead, asking, "Are you sick?"

Elizabeth shivered and then slowly responded, "No."

He could tell she wasn't feverish, because her forehead was cool. It wasn't her period either, so she shouldn't be sick.

Thinking for a moment, Alexander changed the subject, "I've been teaching you to drive these past few days. You should be pretty good at it now, right?"

Elizabeth nodded, replying, "Yes, I can drive now."

"Okay, I need to go to Pariz for a few days. If you want to drive yourself, go ahead. If not, I'll get you a driver to take Alice to kindergarten and you to work every day."

"No need, I can drive myself."-

After a pause, she asked, "Where are you going? Pariz?"

"Yes."

"To the Lavien Mansion?"

Alexander turned to Elizabeth with an incredulous expression, "How do you know?"

Elizabeth smiled sadly, "You forgot, you once introduced me to your best friends. One of them is Gideon from Pariz. He has been to your office and told me you are best friends, so I guessed."

Alexander gave a cold smile, "Good memory."

He implied that he didn't expect her to care about him.

He wasn't going to the Lavien Mansion or to see Gideon. He was going to see Declan, who had been hospitalized in Pariz for three weeks. Alexander had been busy with work and wanted Elizabeth and Alice to quickly adapt to Sunwillow City, so he had delayed visiting Declan until now.

Elizabeth's tone grew colder, "You will love Alice very much, right?"

"What are you trying to say?" Alexander couldn't understand Elizabeth today.

Elizabeth finally got to the point, "I heard that the Lavien family in Pariz holds a status equivalent to yours in Sunwillow City. The Lavien family has a lady named Molly Lavien..."

Before Elizabeth could finish, Alexander sternly and coldly interrupted, "Don't ask about Molly."
