Chapter 215 The Servant Who Doesn't Know Their Place

Elizabeth turned around, seeing a strange woman.

"What are you doing here, barging into a private residence? Aren't you afraid of being smashed to pieces?" the woman scolded Elizabeth harshly.

Her skin was rough and dark, wearing an apron, but the inherent superiority and contempt in her expression made Elizabeth extremely uncomfortable. She was clearly dressed as a servant, but she was incredibly self-righteous.

Working as a servant in a wealthy family made one more arrogant than a small business owner outside.

Not long ago, Elizabeth had just watched a TV show.

It depicted a similar scene, where people of status had slaves who were full of themselves, with an arrogant attitude, as if they were born superior to others.

Now, as Elizabeth looked at the rough-skinned servant in front of her, she thought of the scenes from the TV show.

Elizabeth was Alexander's wife, but she had no power as his wife.

She didn't even have the right to decide what clothes to wear, let alone offending a servant here.

Elizabeth cleared her throat, "I'm the guest."

"You?" the domineering Debra Perry shouted sharply, "Do you know where you are? Where did you come from? Look at your outfit, you must be a new temp worker. I haven't seen you before, and I hired all the new temp workers these days. If I had seen someone like you, I would have kicked you out immediately. Who are you? If you don't speak up, I'll have someone break your legs!"

"We've met," Elizabeth said.

Debra fell silent.

After a while, she suddenly seemed to remember something, saying, "Oh, I thought you looked familiar. You're that female prisoner from six years ago! The one Mr. Windsor brought right after you got out of prison. You're not dead yet? I heard Mr. Windsor caught you from out of town recently. How are you still alive? And you came to The Windsor Manor.  Are you trying to cause trouble? Elizabeth! You bitch, I heard you had a daughter with Mr. Windsor? Do you think having a daughter makes you important? In the end, Mr. Windsor still caught you, not even giving you a status. You're still so low and cheap. What are you here for? If you don't speak up today, I'll beat you to death, throwing you into the sewer!"

Elizabeth remained silent, furious.

She couldn't speak for a moment.

Debra's commotion immediately attracted another maid, Odette Barnes.

"Debra, what's going on? Don't let Mrs. Windsor hear you shouting. Mrs. Windsor hasn't been in a good mood lately, and we have important guests today," Odette kindly reminded Debra.

But Debra sneered, "Odette, do you recognize who this woman is? She's the dirty, smelly woman Mr. Windsor brought back from prison six years ago. We were the ones who bathed her. She reeked, covered in scars from being played with by men."

Odette was immediately shocked, saying, "It's her!"

"Yes, it's her! She looks a bit more decent now, but still out of place. I don't know how she got in, probably finding a loophole because the guards outside were careless," Debra said with disdain, looking at Elizabeth as if she were a dirty vagrant.

Odette said something even more outrageous, "Maybe she's involved with one of the male servants here. She might be here to find that old male servant. It must be Peter! Peter is over sixty, and he's been looking quite refreshed these days. He must have hooked up with this woman."

Odette then asked Elizabeth, "Female prisoner, I'm talking to you. Are you involved with Peter? What do you see in Peter, that he's over sixty and treats you like a daughter? If you want an old man over sixty, I can find you a bunch."

Debra laughed uncontrollably, scolding Elizabeth while laughing, "Don't just stand there. We're talking to you, didn't you hear? Are you deaf? I'm talking to you! Why are you standing there dumbly? Are you involved with Peter?"

"No, Debra," Odette suddenly thought of something, saying, "She is the one Mr. Windsor brought back from out of town. How dare she get involved with a servant from The Windsor Manor?"

Debra clapped her hands, saying, "Got it! Mr. Windsor must have brought her here to punish her. Everyone knows Mr. Windsor's methods of punishment are cruel. For a lowly woman like her, he probably threw her to several old men to play with. She must have been played with, otherwise, she wouldn't be so dumb and unable to speak."

Debra and Odette, two servants of The Windsor Manor, were brazenly insulting Elizabeth.

Elizabeth was initially too angry to think straight.

But within a few seconds, she regained her composure.

She had always been calm and composed, rarely causing trouble and never speaking ill of others, but that didn't mean she was weak, allowing herself to be bullied.

At this moment, she couldn't endure it.

Debra and Odette were ten times more despicable than the people she encountered at work.

The reason Elizabeth hadn't spoken was that she was on a call with Gavin.

As she had dialed Gavin's phone, he had been calling her. Elizabeth held the phone in her hand without speaking.

And she had it on speaker.

So at this moment, Gavin, who was outside, heard everything clearly. He had already gotten out of the car, running towards Elizabeth.

In just two minutes, as Debra and Odette were deeply engrossed in insulting Elizabeth, Elizabeth saw Gavin approaching.

Elizabeth sneered, quickly walking up to Debra and Odette, and slapping them both, leaving them stunned.

"You female prisoner, how dare you hit me?" Debra asked furiously.
