Chapter 283 Making a Big Profit
Molly was stunned for a moment, then quickly said, "No, that's impossible. Mr. Windsor is famous for his ruthlessness in Sunwillow City and even nationwide. How could he be afraid of his wife? It's Elizabeth who's afraid of him. She is his captive."
Gavin laughed again, "I said you're stupid, and you really are. Why did Mr. Windsor go to such lengths to bring Mrs. Windsor back?"
"Because she's a prisoner."
"Because Mr. Winsor wants to win Mrs. Windsor's heart! He has imprisoned Mrs. Windsor's body, but Mrs. Windsor has imprisoned his heart. Do you think Mr. Windsor is afraid of his wife?"
Molly was silent.
After a few seconds, as Gavin dragged her by the collar, Molly pleaded bitterly, "Gavin, please, help me. How much do you want? The Lavien Family can afford it."
Gavin shook his head, saying, "Miss Lavien, you're asking the wrong person. In this banquet hall, the only one who can plead for you is Mrs. Windsor."
"Then give me a chance to plead with Mrs. Windsor?"
"Now you recognize Elizabeth as Mrs. Windsor?" Gavin asked.
Molly weakly replied, "I understand now."
"Too late!"
As Gavin dragged her out, he said, "Molly, you could have just been the young lady of the Lavien Family, but you chose to take risks. When you used to bully Clara, Mr. Windsor didn't care because he didn't see her as a person. But now, Clara teamed up with Elodie, with Declan backing them, but they still couldn't beat Mrs. Windsor. Do you think you can? You overestimate yourself, Miss Lavien. You thought you planned this meticulously and that you could frame Declan and Marcus? Do you take Mr. Windsor for a fool?"
"Gavin, are you really going to send me to a foreign desert?"
"Of course!"
"No! Dad, Gideon, save me, save me!"
Her phone had never been off. She had been dialing out, sometimes to Declan, sometimes to her father Marshall, and eventually directly to Gideon.
Molly knew that only Gideon could speak to Alexander.
In the entire Lavien Family, the one with the highest authority now was Gideon.
She had sent countless messages and made countless calls to Gideon, but he never answered.
Just as Gavin was pushing Molly into the car, a subordinate suddenly shouted, "Gavin, Mr. Windsor wants you to wait a moment."
Gavin immediately stopped pushing Molly into the car.
At the same time, Molly collapsed to the ground, crying hysterically.
She knew she probably wouldn't die now.
But the fear of death was excruciating.
It was Alexander who had captivated her ten years ago, and she still couldn't beat him after all this time. Her plan was complete, with so many scapegoats lined up, and even the reporters were set up to believe it was Elizabeth's doing. Her plan was just one step away from success.
But those men around Elizabeth ruined everything!
Especially Alexander, who saw through all her schemes.
At this moment, Molly felt utterly defeated, just a hair's breadth away from losing her life.
The Lavien Family still held some weight in Alexander's eyes.
However, at this moment, Molly didn't know how her life was spared.
Inside the banquet hall, Alexander was on the phone with Gideon.
Gideon said, "Alexander, Marshall is willing to trade two warships for his two daughters. It's a good deal. You know those two warships are specifically designed for warfare, right?"
Alexander said with calm expression, "Molly and Katherine will stay with me. When the two warships are in my hands, I'll release them. Gideon, tell Marshall that I'm letting his daughters go this time because of you. If it weren't for you, his daughters would be dead, and those two warships would still be mine. Sooner or later, I'll get them back."
On the other end, Gideon laughed, "I don't care how you extort Marshall. I'm concerned about my nephew Robert. Is he okay?"
Even though Gideon and Alexander were as close as brothers, Gideon wasn't sure if Alexander would harm Robert, knowing Alexander's ruthlessness and decisiveness all too well.
Alexander replied irritably, "Elizabeth has already pleaded for them. Otherwise, do you think your nephew would have a good outcome?"
"What did you say?" Gideon asked curiously, "Who pleaded for them? Elizabeth? Your lifelong superior?"
"Who else!" Alexander said fiercely.
"Haha, unexpectedly, Elizabeth pleaded with you to let your rivals go. Who are they? Let me guess, Owen must be one. Ever since Elizabeth saved him six years ago, he's changed. He may still seem carefree on the surface, but he's different inside. Then there's Simon from the Jones Family, always so gentle. He's Declan's grandson, a decent guy. It's no surprise Elizabeth would plead for him. And my nephew Robert. And there's a foreigner too. Alexander, you're really afraid of your wife!"
"Do you want a beating?" Alexander said coldly.
"I'm hanging up!"
After hanging up, Alexander coldly watched as Molly crawled back in. She knelt at Alexander's feet, saying, "Thank you, thank you, Mr. Windsor, for sparing my life. Thank you, Mrs. Windsor. Thank you."
Alexander said, "Take your sister and get out!"
"Yes, yes, Mr. Windsor." Molly immediately crawled over to the already terrified Katherine. Supporting each other, they were about to leave when Alexander added, "Don't leave Sunwillow City, or face the consequences."
"Understood," Molly said, trembling.
With that, she helped Katherine, stumbling out of the banquet hall that Molly had organized.
Molly's goals were not achieved, and she and Katherine almost died.
After leaving the banquet hall and the hotel, Molly cried hysterically on the street.
After crying, she said viciously, "Elizabeth! Just you wait!"
