Chapter 312 Mr. Windsor is Very Good at Dating
Over there, Declan's voice, aged and sorrowful, said, "Alexander, I only have one daughter, but I lost her. I finally found a granddaughter, and now you want to take Clara away from me too? Do you want me to die with regret at over eighty years old?"
Alexander remained silent.
After a pause, he calmly said, "You're exaggerating. If your granddaughter doesn't bring it upon herself, no one would dare touch her. Besides, with me in Sunwillow City watching over her, who would dare? To be clear, the only one who can harm her is herself. If she chooses such a disgraceful path, no one can stop her!"
Declan was silent, knowing how terrible Clara could be.
She was pretentious and had no manners!
She acted like a shrew, with no self-respect.
But who could be blamed for that?
If Clara had grown up in the Jones Family, wouldn't these issues have been avoided?
Ultimately, it was the fault of the Jones Family and the Guise Family.
It had little to do with Clara.
Thinking of this, Declan forgave all of Clara's mistakes. Even though he was disgusted by her actions, he still chose to spoil her.
"Can you release her and let her come home so I can educate her properly, Alexander?" Declan pleaded.
"Alright," Alexander replied.
Declan had just returned from treatment in Pariz, and Alexander didn't want him to lose his life in a fit of anger.
Declan could die, but he couldn't be the catalyst for this.
Alexander never took on responsibilities that weren't his.
After hanging up the phone, Alexander looked at Clara with extreme disdain, saying, "Get out!"
"Mr. Windsor, you don't want my life anymore?"
"I'm saying this one last time. Get out!"
Clara scrambled out, not even having time to remove the broken shoe hanging around her neck, and was seen by everyone in the company.
Some people recognized Clara and whispered among themselves.
"Isn't she Mr. Jones's cousin?"
"I heard she's very arrogant."
"She's even more arrogant than Elodie."
"Seeing her like this is quite satisfying!"
"Homewrecker!"
Clara fled the construction company amidst these insults. In the elevator, she looked at herself in the mirror: her pale face, sweat-soaked hair, ugly shoes, and a forced smile that made her muscles ache. She suddenly burst into tears, like a madwoman.
She ran out of the company crying. Outside, a car was parked at a distance.
Inside the car were Simon and Robert.
"Your cousin ran out crying with a broken shoe hanging around her neck!" Robert mocked Simon.
"Shut up!" Simon never acknowledged Clara as his cousin.
"Serious, if I had such an ugly and arrogant cousin, I'd be disgusted to death!"
Simon didn't respond to Robert, instead asking, "Robert, why did you provoke Alexander? Do you have nothing better to do?"
Robert grinned, "You just said, Alexander dropped the Windsor Group's high-level meeting and all those contracts to come to see Elizabeth because he saw the photos I sent him yesterday?"
"Of course! Otherwise, why would Alexander, who only thinks about work, suddenly abandon work for his wife?"
Hearing Simon's assessment of Alexander, Robert burst out laughing.
"Simon, you like Elizabeth too!"
"She's my cousin!"
"Just admit you like her!"
Simon was silent.
"I like Elizabeth, and I'm not afraid to say it! If I weren't afraid Alexander would kill me, I'd have already run off with Elizabeth. Alexander may be a master in business and on the battlefield, but he's a novice in love. He doesn't know how to date. Otherwise, why would he get so worked up over a few photos I sent him yesterday and rush to Elizabeth's workplace today like a lovesick teenager?" Robert scoffed.
Simon warned, "Watch your words, or he will have your tongue in an instant!"
Robert was genuinely startled.
He couldn't deny he was afraid of Alexander, so he and Simon stayed in the car outside the company, not daring to go in, knowing Alexander was in Elizabeth's office.
The two major shareholders of the construction company stayed in the car until lunchtime, waiting for Alexander to come out.
Robert and Simon had been holding in their need to pee all morning.
Desperate, Robert called Sable, "Miss, can you tell me when the Grim Reaper will leave?"
"What?"
"You're too dumb to be anything but a receptionist. Let me tell you who the Grim Reaper is."
"Mr. Lavien, you don't need to tell me. I know, but I wouldn't dare call him that. Mr. Windsor is still in Mrs. Windsor's office, serving her."
Robert almost choked on his own saliva. After a moment, he asked, "What did you say?"
Sable, with a slightly sweet tone, said, "Mr. Windsor is serving Mrs. Windsor. He's very attentive, with an impeccable sense of timing. When Mrs. Windsor finishes reviewing a draft, he immediately hands her a folder. When she wants to mark something with a red pen, he has already handed it to her. In his spare time, he even makes coffee for her. When she gets a bit thirsty and reaches for the coffee, he stops her just in time."
Robert was stunned, asking, "Why?"
Sable sweetly replied, "Mr. Windsor said, 'It's hot. Wait a bit before drinking. I'll give it to you when it's just right.' Mr. Lavien, I've never seen such an attentive boyfriend. He's so considerate and caring. If I had a boyfriend like that, I'd date him even if he had no money. Mr. Windsor is just too thoughtful."
Robert was silent.
Simon, beside him, mocked, "Who did you say doesn't know how to date?"
