Chapter 393 Managing Difficult Women

The woman shrugged dismissively. "Who could it possibly be?"

She couldn't care less. As the most expensive escort in this nightclub, she commanded premium rates and had always wanted access to this exclusive private room. But entry had been impossible until now because this thousand-square-foot luxury suite was reserved for four heavyweight clients who never requested female companionship.

This was her first time being summoned to this particular room, and specifically for Alexander no less. Alexander—the undisputed king of Sunwillow City!

Women like her didn't concern themselves with whether Alexander was married or had children. What business was that of hers? She was here to conduct business and earn money, fully aware of her purpose: to entertain men in this room. This was her domain, not Elizabeth's territory.

When Elizabeth arrived, she would use her stunning figure and beauty to completely overshadow her!

The woman tossed her flowing waves and moved closer to Alexander. "Mr. Windsor, even if your wife shows up, I'm sure I'm the one occupying your thoughts."

"I'm going to kick your butt!" Before she could finish her sentence, a sharp child's voice erupted behind her, followed by a small figure charging toward her.

Alice attacked like a rabid little wolf, tackling the woman to the ground with surprising force. As the woman hit the floor, Alice was already on top of her, teeth bared and ready to bite.

"Alice!" Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh despite her shock.

Alice turned back fiercely toward Elizabeth. "Mommy! This woman is trying to steal your husband and you're not angry? Well, if you're not mad about her stealing my daddy, I certainly am!"

Elizabeth fell silent, observing how Alice was becoming increasingly adult-like in her reasoning.

She sighed. "Alice, if she steals your daddy, you're the one who loses out, right?"

"Absolutely!"

"Then if you bite her bottom, you're still the one losing out! Think about it—her bottom is so disgusting, and you're using your mouth to bite it?"

Everyone in the room fell silent. The woman Alice had knocked down remained speechless.

Alice burst into laughter. "Mommy, you're so funny!"

She continued sitting on the woman, delivering a series of punches and kicks. "That's for trying to steal my daddy! Next time you dare go after my father, I'll twist your nose off! No, I'll cut your butt off!"

The woman remained utterly silent, desperately wanting to strike this infuriating child but knowing she was Alexander's daughter. She didn't dare touch her, let alone retaliate.

She forced a smile and pleaded, "I'm sorry, Miss Windsor. I didn't mean any harm, I—"

"Get out of here!" Alice lifted herself up and delivered one final kick to the woman.

The woman scrambled toward the exit on hands and knees. As she passed Elizabeth, she deliberately made eye contact, then stopped when Elizabeth called out.

"Wait!"

The woman froze, cowering slightly before stammering, "I... someone from your group called me over to keep Mr. Windsor company. I'm just an escort. My job is to entertain men when you're not around."

At first glance, the woman seemed frightened, but listening more carefully, her tone carried a provocative challenge toward Elizabeth. She clearly hoped to anger Elizabeth, make her cause a scene, and embarrass her in front of the group.

However, Elizabeth's expression remained calm and serene. "I understand."

The woman fell silent.

"So thank you for your trouble." Elizabeth reached into her purse, withdrew a thousand dollars, and placed it in the woman's hand. "This is compensation for your time. You came all this way, and I wouldn't want you to leave empty-handed."

The woman was speechless. She had never encountered such composed confidence. In her experience, other men's wives would have erupted into furious arguments upon hearing such provocative words—that's when things got truly entertaining.

But Elizabeth showed no trace of anger whatsoever, leaving the woman deeply disappointed. She reluctantly accepted the money.

"Is it enough?" Elizabeth inquired.

"What?" The woman thought she'd misheard.

"I asked if the money is sufficient," Elizabeth repeated.

"It's more than enough."

Of course it was—she wouldn't dare demand more from Alexander's wife! Besides, she'd only stood there for about a minute, and a thousand dollars was already incredibly generous.

"A thousand bucks is a lot, but if you keep provoking the wrong people, you might not be so lucky next time. Someone could really mess up your face, and then this money would mean nothing." Elizabeth looked at the woman calmly. "Here, take my number. If you ever get hurt and need surgery, call me. I'll pay for it."

The woman's face drained of all color, her legs trembling with fear.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Windsor! I'll never do this again! I don't want the thousand dollars—I'm leaving!" She thrust the money back at Elizabeth and fled in complete humiliation.

Elizabeth maintained her slight smile throughout, her expression remaining perfectly composed.

Her demeanor left the four men and their female companions utterly stunned. They had all met Elizabeth before, but during their previous encounter, she had seemed colder and more defensive, regarding everyone with silent resistance and a martyred air.

Now, just a few months later, Elizabeth had transformed. Actually, she hadn't changed at all—she remained fundamentally herself, still possessing that cool, detached, profoundly calm quality. But she had gained something new: poise and an understated but unmistakable authority.

Her handling of the escort was remarkably similar to Alexander's own methods. The current Elizabeth bore a striking resemblance to Alexander himself.

She pressed her lips together in a gentle smile and addressed the group with gracious warmth. "I apologize for being late. I'm still learning to drive, so I took my time on the road. I hope you don't mind."

Then she called to Alice. "Alice, come say hello."

Alice immediately ran to Elizabeth's side and politely bowed to each of the distinguished guests. "Good evening, everyone!"

"Alice is such a well-mannered child. Come here, I have a gift for you."

"Come to me first—my present is better than his."

"Mine's the most expensive. Come here, Alice."

Alice beamed with delight while Elizabeth watched with a restrained smile.

Gideon, seated closest to her, couldn't help calling out, "Elizabeth—"

Before he could continue, the door burst open and someone rushed in urgently.
