Chapter 168 Miss Windsor Shows No Respect

Alexander and Alice had strikingly similar faces. Alexander stood tall and straight, impeccably dressed in a suit, exuding a cold and intimidating aura that warned strangers to keep their distance. In contrast, Alice, whom he held by the hand, was dressed in red, looking cute and playful.

Alice's height barely reached his knee.

Although she looked adorable with her small stature, she also had an air of arrogance, looking down on everything with a haughty demeanor.

As they walked hand in hand, they commanded the attention of everyone present.

Just yesterday, Marcus had called each of them, inviting them to a family banquet. These nobles, who had close ties with the Windsor family, had heard rumors that Alexander had brought back a woman, and a child bearing a striking resemblance to Alexander.

Seeing Alexander return to the Windsor Manor with only Alice and not Elizabeth, everyone understood the situation. Alexander himself was an illegitimate child who had fought hard to secure his inheritance, so he wouldn't let his own daughter be left out in the cold.

As for Alice's mother,

She had a criminal record, which couldn't be changed. She had once caused chaos in the upper circles of Sunwillow City, most importantly, having disrupted Alexander's wedding.

This had truly crossed Alexander's bottom line.

The nobles of Sunwillow City, invited by Marcus, had mixed feelings.

Half of them had once oppressed and publicly humiliated Elizabeth; they naturally didn't want to see her here, acting according to Alexander's mood. The other half were wealthy girls from Sunwillow City who had always wanted to marry Alexander but never had the chance.

Previously, Alexander's fiancée was Clara, whose grandfather Declan had a very good relationship with the Windsor family, once having saved the lives of Alexander and Esme. As a result, no one dared to compete with Clara for Alexander.

Even now, no one dared.

In the eyes of the public, Clara was still Alexander's fiancée.

But after today, things would be different.

Because Alexander now had Alice.

Just from the look in Marcus's eyes, it was clear how important Alice was to the Windsor family. If someone could take good care of her, they might even become Alexander's legitimate wife.

Many women present had this thought, but Alice was unaware.

With her eyes darting around, Alice observed everyone present who was either adorned with jewels or dressed luxuriously, all staring at her and her dad!

Especially those beautiful women, their looks at Alexander made Alice particularly uncomfortable.

Was Alexander really that good-looking?

Alice glanced at Alexander with confusion.

He wasn't bad-looking.

But Elizabeth never seemed to look at him that way.

However, even if Elizabeth didn't like Alexander, Alice couldn't let anyone else take him away!

After a few moments of contemplation, five-year-old Alice had already come up with a bunch of mischievous ideas.

Marcus said, "Sweetheart, come here. I've missed you." Seeing Alice approaching, Marcus waved at her repeatedly.

Next to him, Amara also smiled broadly at Alice, who was walking towards them. She smiled and looked at Felix and Sierra sitting beside her, saying, "Felix, Alice is so cute. Even though she's a girl, she looks so much like you when you were little. Look at her, she resembles you so much."

Felix blushed at his mother, Amara's words, saying, "Alice is Alexander's daughter; she looks like Alexander."

Amara chided Felix, "Isn't Alexander your son?"

Then she called to Sierra beside her, "Sierra, take this. Alice is your granddaughter too. Give this to her; it's one of our Windsor family heirlooms."

Sierra nodded respectfully, responding, "Yes, Mom."

She took the gemstone necklace Amara handed her, smiling at Alice, "Come here, Alice, let me put this on you."

Alice timidly looked at the bejeweled Sierra, who was forcing a smile on her stern face.

Sierra continued to smile.

Alice blinked, innocently asking, "Are you really giving this to me?"

Sierra's smile remained, saying, "Of course, I'm giving it to you. You're the only child of the youngest generation of the Windsor family."

Alice happily took the gemstone necklace from Sierra. She didn't actually like the necklace that looked odd and outdated. But the red and green gems on it were similar to the ones on Sierra's necklace and earrings.

Alice guessed that the necklace must be very valuable.

Since it was valuable, Alice had to take it and give it to Elizabeth.

That way, Elizabeth wouldn't owe Alexander any more money.

Seeing Alice happy, a fleeting look of sadness and malice crossed Sierra's eyes, but it quickly disappeared, replaced by a kind smile.

Alice was indeed a Windsor family child.

But Alice wasn't Sierra's biological granddaughter. She had three sons, all of whom had died young. Now, although she was the matriarch of the Windsor family, she was also a lonely old woman. Since Amara and Marcus were willing to let Alice call her grandma, she had to treat Alice as her own.

She planned to find a controllable mother for Alice. In the future, the Windsor family would still be under her control.

Keeping this in mind, Sierra hugged Alice, glancing at the beautiful woman, Sarah Fisher, who was sitting not far away and looking at Alexander.

Sarah immediately understood, smiling at Alexander, "Alice is truly exceptional. She not only looks like you but also shares your lively, adorable, and innocent personality. She is truly lovable. Alexander, congratulations on finding your lovely child."

Sarah's words were full of flattery, but Alexander's expression remained cold. He didn't even look at her, only saying to Alice, "Alice, thank your great-grandparents."

Before Alice could react, Sarah bent down, warmly saying to her, "Alice, those sitting up there are your great-grandfather and great-grandmother."

Alice pinched her nose and pouted, saying, "You smell bad."
