Chapter 146 Bar Girl
Hearing Alexander say "Alright," Elizabeth breathed a sigh of relief. She finally didn't have to try on any more clothes.
It was also a tiring job.
Especially she was wearing these clothes to please others, which made Elizabeth feel even more exhausted.
"Tired?" Alexander asked.
Elizabeth replied indifferently, "It's fine."
Alexander looked up at Jessica, saying, "Pack up all the styles I selected."
Jessica immediately cheered, "Okay, Mr. Windsor, please wait a moment!"
Alexander then looked down at Elizabeth, asking, "Do you like those styles?"
All the styles were carefully selected by him. Whether mature or pure, they all matched her indifferent personality.
Elizabeth lowered her head slightly, saying, "It doesn't matter."
Alexander remained silent.
Elizabeth said indifferently, "I already have one on me. Isn't it a waste to buy so many more?" Wasn't she supposed to repay the money? She was very worried that the cost of these dresses would also be counted towards her debt.
She had to remind him.
"Because you won't just wear a dress once. You'll need to wear them in the future too!" Alexander snapped.
She understood.
She would have to accompany many men in the future, possibly several in one day.
So, she might need to change clothes several times a day.
Elizabeth said no more, letting Alexander hold her hand as they left the dress shop. Behind them, two sales clerks followed, whispering to each other.
"They look so well-matched."
"I think Mr. Windsor is a bit mature, and that woman looks very young. Wearing this pure style dress today makes her look even younger, like she's in her twenties."
"How lucky to be the woman by Mr. Windsor's side."
Hearing this, Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh bitterly in her heart.
Lucky? She didn't think so.
What she wanted was very simple.. As long as Alice could live well, go to school, and Samuel was still alive, for Elizabeth, that was happiness.
Getting into the car, she followed Alexander to the nightclub Tonight Drunk.
The place was resplendent and luxurious. She had never been to such a place. Even six years ago, the places Owen took her to were not as luxurious as this, nor was the place Clara took her to yesterday.
Before entering, Elizabeth already felt a sense of extravagance.
Upon entering, there were not many customers, it was very quiet and orderly inside. She followed Alexander in, taking the elevator which went up to the sixth floor, and they got out.
Alexander held Elizabeth's wrist, she felt a bit uncomfortable, wanting to pull away, but being too weak to do so.
Meanwhile, in the private room that was large, with a bar, a wine cabinet, a sofa area, and a bathroom, all fully equipped, there were already about ten people.
At this moment, the people in the room were chatting on the sofa, both men and women.
Each man had a woman sitting beside him. While the men talked business, the women sat quietly with their legs crossed, occasionally glancing at each other and smiling.
The atmosphere was still a bit unfamiliar, and a bit reserved.
"Gideon, I came because you invited me. I don't know if Alexander will show me some respect. You should know better than me how decisive he is. I can reconcile with him, but I'm afraid he won't let me go!" said Calvin Savoy, a man in his thirties with a scar on his face, looking fierce, while the woman beside him was a charming beauty.
"Calvin!" Gideon said unceremoniously, "It's not just Alexander who doesn't show you respect, even I, who grew up with him, don't get any special treatment from him! He may be ruthless, but he never plays dirty. What did you do back then? If it weren't for the trouble you caused him, would Alexander's mother Esme have gone to jail? If she hadn't gone to jail, she wouldn't have died early. How do you expect Alexander to reconcile with you?"
Calvin's tone deflated, "Back then, I was also forced by Alexander's brothers. The Windsor family was very powerful in Sunwillow City at the time. If I hadn't do that, the Savoy family's business in the southern region would have been destroyed. What could I do?"
"Then you should just admit your mistake!" Gideon said relentlessly, "Calvin, I'm only helping you because of your late brother, who was my comrade. Whether you can reconcile with Alexander has nothing to do with me."
"Understood. Thank you, Gideon," Calvin said.
As soon as he finished speaking, Alexander pushed the door open and entered.
Everyone in the room stood up simultaneously.
"Alexander!" Gideon called out.
Two other men around Gideon's age also stood up, smiling, "Alexander, you're here."
Alexander nodded slightly.
He never let go of Elizabeth's hand, Elizabeth's expression remaining indifferent and calm, especially with the dress she was wearing, which was completely different from the other women in the room.
These women were either mature and charming or seductive and alluring.
Only Elizabeth was pure like a lily.
Moreover, she was held by Alexander as if she were a treasured gem.
In the large room, every woman was jealous of Elizabeth.
"Alexander, you're half an hour late. According to the rules, you should drink thirty glasses of wine, one per minute. How about that?" said the man sitting next to Gideon, smiling at Alexander.
Alexander ignored the man, only looking at Calvin and asking, "Why are you here?"
Calvin's eyes flashed with a hint of anger, but it quickly disappeared. He said, "Alexander, we've been friends for so many years. You've been angry with me for six years. For Gideon's sake, can't you forgive me?"
Alexander's tone was cold, "You still know to call me Alexander!"
Calvin said, "Back then, I was also forced by your brothers. If I didn't comply with them, the Savoy family would have been swallowed by the Windsor family. If it had been like that, how could I have helped you later when you fought back? We didn't spare any effort to help you back then!"
Calvin was referring to that incident.
Back then, although Alexander was alone in the Windsor family, he had made some friends willing to sacrifice their lives while in exile.
Among them were Gideon and Calvin.
These people had influence outside of Aldoria. With their help, Alexander had reached the pinnacle of power in Aldoria.
Alexander chuckled, "You drink thirty glasses of wine for me!"
Calvin immediately laughed, "No problem! But..."
He glanced at Elizabeth beside Alexander, asking, "Alexander, who is this? Shouldn't Clara be by your side?"
Hearing the question directed at her, Elizabeth immediately replied, "I'm the bar girl Mr. Windsor brought."
