Chapter 71 Elizabeth Teaches Wesley a Lesson

In the swanky private room, there was just one guy and one girl.

The guy was Wesley, a chubby dude in his sixties.

And the girl was Elizabeth, who looked pretty frail and skinny.

But what Owen and Samuel walked into was way different from what they expected.

Wesley was curled up on the floor, groaning in pain, with a big puddle of fresh blood in front of him.

Elizabeth was holding a broken wine bottle, stabbing Wesley over and over. Each stab was fierce.

And her eyes? Totally calm.

Owen and Samuel were completely floored.

Seeing two familiar faces burst through the door, Wesley crawled over to Owen, wincing in pain. He yelled, "Mr. Tudor, help me! Get my bodyguards in here, take down this crazy woman, kill her! I'll take all the blame!"

Owen just stood there, silent.

Elizabeth, still holding the broken bottle, looked at Owen calmly and said, "Mr. Tudor, I wanted to tell you this morning, but you were busy at the construction site. So I didn't bother you. I just wanted to say I'll get paid in two days, and I'll pay back the $3,000 I owe you. Now, I hope you can collect my salary yourself; it's all yours."

Owen stayed quiet.

Elizabeth looked down sadly, gave a faint smile, and said, "Call the cops, Mr. Tudor, or let this old bastard's bodyguards kill me. Whatever, I won't fight back."

With that, she dropped the broken bottle.

She waited quietly for their decision.

She didn't beg for mercy, and there was no fear in her eyes, just a numb acceptance of reality.

Elizabeth's expression made Owen feel like the world had been cruel and cold to her, so she didn't struggle, didn't plead, and didn't hope for anyone.

She had lost even the will to survive.

Owen suddenly felt a pang of sorrow.

He hugged Elizabeth and comforted her, saying, "Stop talking nonsense, Elizabeth! Have you forgotten? I just told you recently that no matter what happens, you should come to me! Come to me! No matter how bad things get, I'll help you. Why don't you understand? Or are you pretending to be confused? Do you want me to scold you in front of others?"

Elizabeth stayed silent.

Every time Owen saw her, he would mock and tease her with all sorts of snarky comments. He never showed his true feelings and always found ways to mess with her.

But he was the only one who consistently helped her every time.

Thinking about this, tears welled up in Elizabeth's eyes. "Mr. Tudor..."

"Don't cry, Elizabeth. Your tears mixed with the dirt on you will dirty my suit. This suit costs hundreds of thousands of dollars! Even if I sold you a hundred times, it wouldn't be enough to pay for it," Owen said with disdain.

He wasn't lying.

He had always looked down on Elizabeth.

From the first time he met her, every time he helped her, it was with the mindset of treating her as a plaything.

But this time, Elizabeth was full of gratitude towards Owen.

Behind them, Samuel, who had seen everything, was stunned.

Samuel and Owen were good friends, and he listened to Owen analyze Elizabeth all day long. Sometimes, Samuel naturally assumed that Elizabeth was the lowly woman Owen described.

But right then, Samuel was really moved by Elizabeth.

Her eyes seemed calm, but there was this crazy determination in them. She was so weak that anyone could push her around. Owen treated her like crap, Elodie did the same, and Alexander's beloved Clara made her life hell.

But Elizabeth, who had no way to fight back, never gave in.

At that moment, Elizabeth was ready to go to jail, ready to die, but she wouldn't let Wesley humiliate her even a little bit more.

What a strong and pure girl she was!

Samuel stepped over to Wesley, who was lying in a pool of blood, and with a sneer, he said, "Wesley, Mr. Tudor is part of the Windsor family. Mr. Marcus Windsor has told Mr. Alexander Windsor to look out for Mr. Tudor no matter what. If you mess with Mr. Tudor, you're messing with Mr. Alexander Windsor. You wanna die?"

"I've been beaten impotent by this bitch!" Wesley was sweating in pain.

"You're almost seventy. Who cares about that?" Owen sneered.

"But my injury..."

"I'll cover your treatment!" Owen scoffed.

"This bitch..." Wesley still wasn't ready to give up. He wanted to personally kill Elizabeth, who had beaten him impotent with a wine bottle.

"She's my lover! If you touch her, I'll end you!" Owen said viciously.

Wesley fell silent.

He watched as Owen took Elizabeth away. Not long after, an ambulance took Wesley away.

After leaving the club, Elizabeth, still worried, went to the hospital. She saw Wesley being bandaged and checked the medical bill. When she saw that it cost $20,000 for one night, she was stunned.

Owen chuckled behind her and teasingly remarked, "Over $20,000. Now you won't be able to pay me back anytime soon. So, when do you plan to agree to be my lover?"

Elizabeth looked up at Owen with a grateful smile and said, "Mr. Tudor, you are very kind, but I am not as innocent as you imagine. So I cannot be with you."

Owen laughed wildly and pressed on with his questioning, "First, tell me, do you like me?"

This was very important to Owen.

He went to the trouble of offending Wesley and spending money just to take the first step in winning over Elizabeth, to make her like him.

Only if Elizabeth liked him would the game be more interesting.

"Very much!" Elizabeth looked up, tears in her eyes, and said to Owen, "If it were two years ago, I would have liked a boy like you very much. I would have been willing to do anything for you, even die. Mr. Tudor, I like you."

With that, Elizabeth turned and left.

Owen didn't chase after her.

As a master in the game of love, Owen knew that haste makes waste. He wouldn't chase her; he wanted Elizabeth to cool down first.

However, what Owen didn't know was that Elizabeth didn't return to her budget hotel.

At eleven o'clock that night, Alexander returned from the Windsor family ancestral cemetery. As soon as he stepped out of the elevator, he saw Elizabeth curled up outside his door.

"What are you doing here?" Alexander asked coldly.
