Chapter 182 The Troublemaking Woman

Elizabeth's friend list on Facebook was empty.

Moreover, she rarely posted on Facebook.

There were only three posts in total.

One of the posts was: [My daughter is finally settled, no more worries,] accompanied by nine adorable photos of Alice.

The second post was about Elizabeth finding a job.

Elizabeth talked about the type of job she liked, the impressive office building, and how her mood had improved. The picture was of the office building and the company's name.

From this post, it seemed Elizabeth was very happy about finding this job.

The last post, surprisingly, was just posted today. It reads: [Seeing this woman got beaten up like this makes me so happy. I want to find a corner and laugh my head off.] The picture was of Clara in various unflattering angles.

It turned out that beneath her indifferent exterior, she still had a playful side.

However, Alexander saw the loneliness in Elizabeth through these three Facebook posts.

A kind of loneliness that wrapped itself up layer by layer.

She didn't dare to easily trust anyone or share her feelings with anyone.

Because Elizabeth had been hurt too deeply before.

Seeing these three Facebook posts, Alexander felt an inexplicable pang of sadness.

His face looked very gloomy.

Seeing Alexander like this, Gavin was startled.

If Alexander found out that he wanted to show off in front of Elizabeth and Alice, wanting to have a good relationship with them, Alexander would definitely grab a gun, shoot him into a pulp.

Gavin's legs went weak with fear.

With his tongue tied, he almost bit his own tongue, asking, "Mr. Windsor, can you give me a chance to make up for my mistake?"

Alexander looked at Gavin in silence. Gavin hadn't made a mistake, so why should he make up for it?

Gavin continued, "I have a cousin who has been working at this company for three years. I can ask her to take care of Mrs. Windsor to make up for the mistake of adding Mrs. Windsor on Facebook."

Alexander remained expressionless and silent. Had he ever said that Gavin adding Elizabeth on Facebook was a mistake?

Did he say that?

Since Gavin thought so, then he...

"Okay," Alexander said deeply.

Gavin immediately called Julia, asking her to find Elizabeth and help her as soon as possible.

After getting things done, Gavin was sweating all over his back.

Just as he was about to grab his phone and rush out of Alexander's office, his phone suddenly received a voice call.

Oh my God!

Gavin was really afraid Alexander would skin him alive on the spot.

He respectfully handed the phone to Alexander, saying, "Mr. Windsor, Mrs. Windsor is calling. I'll connect you."

Alexander pushed it back, ordering, "You answer."

Gavin was silent.

Alexander ordered again, "Answer!"

Gavin had no choice but to answer, "Mrs. Windsor."

On the other end, Elizabeth asked seriously, "Gavin, Julia is your..."

"Mrs. Windsor, she is my cousin," Gavin replied, wiping his sweat.

Elizabeth's tone remained calm, "How did you know I work here? Are you asking Julia to monitor my every move? It's really unnecessary. I might as well not work. I don't want to be monitored like this!"

Gavin stammered, "No, no, Mrs. Windsor, you must have misunderstood. I added you on Facebook this morning to send Clara's ugly photos. Since I'm your social media friend, I naturally saw your post about finding a job. When I saw your post, I realized that Julia also works there, so I reported this to Mr. Windsor. So, having Julia help you get familiar with the new environment is Mr. Windsor's way of showing care for you."

Elizabeth was surprised.

She did post on Facebook yesterday, thinking that she didn't have any friends on Facebook and had no one to talk to, so she posted it to record her feelings.

She had forgotten that she added Gavin as a Facebook friend this morning.

Gavin was anxious, really wanting to ask Elizabeth, "Mrs. Windsor, aren't you going to thank Mr. Windsor?"

Was she?

Elizabeth paused for a moment, then ended the voice call.

The reason she didn't say thank you was that she couldn't guess what Alexander was thinking. Alexander's mind was too deep for her to fathom.

Besides, Elizabeth didn't want to guess.

She preferred to take life one day at a time, trying not to think about anything.

Putting away her phone, Elizabeth composed herself and re-entered the office, finally taking a good look at it.

The design department's office area was spacious, bright, and very modern.

Especially her desk, which was much better than the one she had six years ago when she worked at a construction design company in Sunwillow City. The computer on the desk was already set up, with everything new.

Elizabeth was satisfied with her work environment.

Sawyer quickly approached her, saying, "Elizabeth, you won't have any tasks for the first week. Get familiar with the surroundings first. Linda, who sits opposite you, is a very experienced designer. You'll assist her for a week, and she'll help you get to know the company environment and processes, and take you to the relevant departments to get familiar with them. Next week, I'll assign you tasks."

Elizabeth nodded, replying, "Okay."

The director returned to his office, and Elizabeth went to the experienced designer named Linda who sat opposite her. She politely but confidently said, "Linda, is there anything I can help with?"

"Help?" Linda Diaz's tone was very cold and unfriendly, "You're not helping me. If you weren't here, my work efficiency would be higher. But since the director asked me to guide you, I'll do it."

With that, Linda handed a stack of design plans to Elizabeth, ordering, "Sort these out, make copies, and hand them to me by the end of the day."

"Okay," Elizabeth said, taking the plans back to her desk and starting to organize them. Soon, it being lunchtime, Julia from upstairs didn't forget to come and invite Elizabeth to the cafeteria.

"Are you getting used to working here?" Julia asked Elizabeth enthusiastically.

Elizabeth nodded and smiled, "It's okay."

Then she asked, "Are we eating in the cafeteria for lunch?"

Julia answered, "The company provides a meal allowance of $1,000 a month. The food here is very good. Come on, I'll take you."

Elizabeth and Julia entered the cafeteria, ordering their meals, and sitting down.

A woman suddenly slammed her tray in front of them, shouting sharply, "What are you doing here!"
