Alexander looked at her with a stern expression.
Alice was confused, "What's wrong, Dad?"

"Dad, I'm asking you; why did you come back so early! Didn't you say you'd be back in a week? How come you're back in just three days? You promised to buy me a truckload of toys. Did you have time to buy gifts in just three days?"
Alice was most concerned about her gifts.
Alexander sneered and asked back, "Did you complete the task I gave you before I left?"
"You mean taking care of Mom? I took great care of her!"
