Chapter 106 Wanting an Obedient Woman

Robin asked, "Waiting for a call?"

Stuart casually placed his phone face down on the table. He replied, "No."

Vincent, who was chatting with his girlfriend, said, "Stuart, why don't we invite a few more people to liven things up?"

Robin smirked. He teased, "I bet you just want to invite your girlfriend over!"

Vincent laughed. He boasted, "Yeah, so what? We can't be apart."

"Sure," Stuart said. "Invite her. The more, the merrier."

Robin suddenly asked, "Josephine isn't working today, right? Should we invite her too?"

Stuart seemed tempted.

Robin continued, "It's the holiday season. We should all get together."

Stuart tossed his phone to him.He instructed, "Just tell her I'm drunk and ask her to come pick me up."

Robin immediately picked up the phone, glanced at Josephine's contact, and dialed her number.

Josephine was quite surprised to receive a call from Stuart.

Wasn't he not talking to her?

However, since he was calling, it must be important.

Josephine wasn't the type to be overly sensitive, so she answered.

Robin asked, "Josephine? Can you come over? Stuart is drunk; you need to take him home."

Josephine didn't expect to hear Robin's voice on the other end.

Moreover, his tone was as unpleasant as ever.

Josephine was used to it; Robin was always like this.

However, she wasn't going to indulge them now.

She directly said, "Wherever he's drunk, he can sleep there."

Robin glanced to the side.

Stuart's face was already looking grim.

He spoke up, "That's not very nice. You should come over. I'll send you the address."

Josephine said, "No need. I'm not coming. Since you're his good buddy, why don't you take him home?"

Stuart, listening nearby, couldn't take it anymore and grabbed the phone. He said impatiently, "Josephine!"

Josephine was taken aback, then laughed. She scoffed, "Mr. Haustia doesn't sound drunk to me."

She really didn't expect that not only did they disrespect her, but they also teamed up to deceive her.

Saying Stuart was drunk to trick her into coming over—did they want to see her worried or make a fool of her?

Not a single decent person among them!

"I'm drunk," Stuart said in a deep voice, He insisted, "Come over."

"No way!" Josephine said directly, "Mr. Haustia, you can play however you want. I'm not joining!"

With that, she hung up.

Robin looked at Stuart. He asked, "Stuart, what's with her attitude?"

"Shut up!" Stuart gritted his teeth. He ordered, "Call Grandpa and have him tell her to come."

Robin's eyes lit up. He replied, "That's a good idea!"

Within minutes, Josephine heard a knock on her door. The housekeeper said Andrew wanted to see her downstairs.

Josephine hurried downstairs.

Andrew sighed. He said, "Josephine, go pick up Stuart. He's drunk; the driver knows the address."

Josephine could refuse Stuart, but she couldn't tell Andrew it was a trick.

She changed clothes and went out. When she arrived at the club, she took a deep breath before entering the room.

Vincent's girlfriend was there, and the two of them were cozied up in a corner, sweet and affectionate.

The others didn't have serious girlfriends, just companions, which could be replaced at any time.

Among them, only Josephine had the legal status of a wife. Yet she was the least valued.

At past gatherings, Stuart always ignored her.

Josephine's treatment was even worse than the random flings his friends brought along.

"Well, look who it is," Robin said, "Dr. Kalmien is here. We're honored."

Not wanting to listen to his sarcasm, Josephine went straight to Stuart. She asked, "Can you walk? Mr. Andrew Haustia is waiting at home."

"Why leave?" Robin said. "We're having a good time. Don't spoil it."

"Then you all keep drinking," Josephine said coldly. "Stuart, come out and call Mr. Andrew Haustia to tell him you're not coming home."

Stuart didn't move, staring at her in silence for a few seconds before saying, "Come here."

Josephine didn't move either, only asking, "Are you leaving or not?"

Stuart looked at her with a cold gaze and said again, "Come here."

Josephine took out her phone and sent a video call request to Andrew.

Andrew quickly answered, "Josephine?"

Josephine smiled. She claimed, "Mr. Andrew Haustia, they're drinking. He seems quite sober and says he's not coming home."

She flipped the camera; Andrew saw Stuart sitting in the center, looking completely sober.

The others didn't expect Josephine to do this. Andrew Haustia had a lot of authority; they all sat up straight, not daring to make a sound.

Andrew looked around and recognized familiar faces, some of whom had visited the house just a few days ago.

However, a few of the girls sitting with them looked unfamiliar.

Andrew, with his sharp eyes, immediately saw that they were just the men's flings.

Seeing the chaotic scene, Andrew regretted sending Josephine over.

He spoke with authority, "If he's not coming back, leave him be! Josephine, have the driver take you home. Stay safe."

Andrew's care for Josephine was evident.

In this situation, Stuart couldn't possibly disrespect Andrew.

He stood up and said, "I'll go back now."

Josephine chatted with Andrew for a bit more before ending the video call.

Stuart walked past her with a stern face. He said impatiently, "Get out!"

Josephine followed him out.

Standing at the door, Stuart said, "Besides complaining to Grandpa, what else can you do?"

Josephine replied, "Then why did you call me here? To watch you have fun with your friends?"

"Josephine." Stuart looked at her coldly. He asked, "Why have you changed so much? You used to at least have the virtue of being obedient."

"And be bullied by you all?" Josephine laughed. She said sarcastically, "Mr. Haustia, if you want obedient women, you can just wave your hand; there will be plenty."

"Yes," Stuart said. "So don't think you're special. If there's anything different about you, it's because you're Mrs. Haustia, my wife."

"Are you leaving or not?" Josephine's patience was running out, her voice even colder.

Stuart was silent for just two seconds before Josephine turned to leave.

Stuart was about to follow when he saw Doris running down the hallway.

She was in such a hurry that she bumped into Josephine, dropping something—a men's tie.

As she picked it up, Doris apologized, "Sorry, Josephine, I was in a rush and didn't see you. Stuart gave me a Starlight Festival gift, and I was eager to return the favor."

Before she could finish, Josephine sneered and walked away without looking back.

Doris walked up to Stuart with the gift. She started to complain, "Stuart, look at Josephine, she..."

Stuart's expression was indifferent. He asked, "Why are you back?"

"Nothing much at home, so I came back early." Doris handed him the gift. She greeted, "Happy Starlight Festival."

Stuart didn't take it, only saying, "Go inside and call Robin out."

Robin quickly came out and asked, "I saw Doris with red eyes. What's up? Tired of her? I know a few girls, all very clean. Should I call them over to keep you company?"
