Chapter 397 Engage in Marital Relations

Josephine couldn't care less about what Laura was saying. It wasn't about whether Stuart was capable; it was about whether she was.

Josephine felt she might be frigid and had no expectations for their marital life. Should she ask Stuart if they should consider a sexless marriage in the future?

She knew without asking that a man like Stuart, with his strong desires and high needs, would never agree. In the past, Stuart was never associated with impotent.

Josephine tossed and turned, unable to sleep. She had to admit, Laura had given her a tough problem.

Fortunately, in the following days, Stuart didn't ask her out alone; he just picked up Jeffery from school every day.

Derek now believed that Stuart really did pick up Jeffery every day. He was so envious that he told his mom on the way home, "I want Dad to pick me up too."

Derek's mom, Callie Ward, glared at him, "Your dad is so busy, where would he find the time!"

Derek said, "How come Jeffery's dad has time?"

And Jeffery's dad was tall and handsome, without a big belly. But Derek didn't dare say that out loud. He was afraid of getting scolded.

Callie said, "That's because he's got nothing to do! Jeffery's parents must not be as wealthy as us. I've never even heard of the Kalmien family. You shouldn't play with him anymore."

Derek said, "Huh? But all the kids in our class like him and even made him class president!"

"Made him class president?" Callie was not pleased. "Wasn't Bonnie Hall the class president before?"

"Yeah, Bonnie stepped down voluntarily."

The Hall family was a prominent family, with members in politics and business, wealthy and powerful. In the class, Bonnie had the best family background.

Callie immediately contacted the class teacher to report this issue. After thinking it over, she also contacted Bonnie's mom, Anita Parker.

Knowing she wasn't on the same level as the Hall family, Callie had only added Anita as a friend but hadn't had the chance to chat with her. She took this opportunity to get closer to the Hall family.

When Anita received the message, she and Bonnie hadn't gotten home yet. She glanced at her phone and asked Bonnie, "You're not the class president anymore?"

Bonnie, munching on an apple, nodded, "Yeah!"

Anita asked, "Why? Didn't you want to be the president before?"

"Because Jeffery is better than me! The best person should be the class president!"

"Jeffery? The transfer student?"

Bonnie nodded vigorously.

"Stop eating." Anita took the apple away. "Why didn't you discuss this with me?"

Bonnie looked puzzled, "Why should I discuss it with you, Mom?"

Anita didn't want to argue and directly replied to Callie.

Callie got the reply and opened it quickly, but was disappointed. "That's it?" she murmured.

Anita just replied with a "Alright."

What Callie didn't know was that Anita went straight to the teacher. Moreover, Anita was a member of the parent committee and had also mentioned the matter in the committee's group chat.

The parent committee's group chat immediately buzzed with activity.

Parent 1: [Why didn't the teacher inform us about this?]

Parent 2: [Exactly, for something this significant, the teacher should have consulted us!]

Parent 3: [And Bonnie has been doing a great job all along. Why replace her?]

Everyone started to agree, praising Bonnie in the group chat.

Anita smiled and put away her phone. How could some unknown kid replace Bonnie? She had asked before and found out that Jeffery was from the Kalmien family, a family she had never heard of.She had seen Jeffery's mom, Josephine, who was stunningly beautiful. Later, she met Stuart, which surprised her even more. Both of them were very attractive, which made Anita even more displeased.

Before Josephine came along, no other mom in the kindergarten was younger or prettier than her.

Now that Josephine was here, whenever a man came to pick up a child, their eyes would drift towards Josephine.

'Homewrecker!' Anita cursed inwardly.

The kindergarten teacher, Dana Young, got a call from a parent committee member after school.

Dana patiently explained the situation, but the parent wouldn't listen. She had no choice but to agree for now.

The next day at school, she brought up the issue in class.

Teaching at this kindergarten was very stressful for Dana. All the kids came from wealthy families, and she couldn't afford to offend any of them. The relationships between the parents were also complex, and a slight misstep could offend someone.

Anita usually seemed friendly, but when her interests were at stake, she could become cold and ruthless.

Dana announced in class that there would be two class presidents: Jeffery and the original president, Bonnie.

Dana thought long and hard and decided this was the best way not to offend anyone.

She couldn't just remove Jeffery from the position without any reason after making him president. If Jeffery's parents came to complain, it would be another headache.

Although Jeffery's parents were probably not as difficult as Anita, it was better to avoid trouble.

The kids didn't mind, but Bonnie herself thought Jeffery was more suited for the role and wanted to step down. Dana couldn't agree to that. After much persuasion, Bonnie finally agreed. Dana breathed a sigh of relief.

Unexpectedly, the parents were still not satisfied with this outcome, especially some parents who thought their kids were better than Jeffery.

Why should Jeffery be president and not their kids?

Especially Derek, who also wanted to be president alongside Bonnie!

Josephine had no idea that a small kindergarten class could have so much drama. She had been taking care of Nicole's emotions these past few days and hadn't gone out with Stuart.

Stuart, though helpless, took the opportunity to handle some company matters. After all, the headquarters would be moving to Celestia Springs, and he had some things to take care of.

However, they still kept in touch frequently, with Stuart video calling her every night.

Josephine suddenly realized that this was the life she had always wanted—her family and child close by, and her lover not far away. Seeing Stuart every day gave her the feeling of being in love without the need to engage in marital relations. How wonderful!

As a result, Stuart noticed that during their video calls, Josephine's smile grew brighter and her sweet words more enchanting. Each night, just hearing her voice caused an involuntary reaction in his body.

He couldn't help it; he wasn't to blame for his desires. After all, he had lived a celibate life for so many years. Now that he and Josephine had reconciled and their relationship was improving, it was only natural for him to long for more intimate contact.

Moreover, after not spending time alone with Josephine for a few days, Stuart missed her terribly.

The time he spent picking up Jeffery and dropping them off at home was too short. That brief interaction only made Stuart crave her more.

So, Stuart planned to ask her out over the weekend.
