Chapter 225 The Person I Despise.

When Stuart saw Robin, he didn't look pleased. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to take care of some business and heard you were sick," Robin asked him, "Is it still your stomach?"

Stuart, feeling unwell, didn't want to engage with him.

Robin, however, sat down familiarly. "I heard Josephine is back. Stuart, what's your plan?"

Stuart frowned at him. "I told you before."

Sensing Stuart's annoyance in hiss tone, Robin had to be direct "I was thinking, if you really want to reconcile with her, I could invite her to dinner and apologize to her."

Stuart knew he had done many wrong things in the past.

Robin, being around him, had also said many unpleasant things.

Vincent mentioned that Robin was somewhat restrained in Stuart's presence.

When Stuart wasn't around, Robin's attitude towards Josephine was quite nasty.

Stuart had always found Robin strange, disliking him for a long time.

Over the past five years, he hadn't been in close contact with Robin.

The bond they had from growing up together had faded significantly.

The incident abroad where Robin drugged and almost raped Josephine was ultimately blamed on William.

But even so, Stuart never showed him a friendly face.

"You should apologize," He said, "But not now. I'll let you know when."

Robin said, "You're still pursuing her, right? If I apologize to her now, it might make her feel better and be beneficial for you."

"Not necessary," Stuart said bluntly, "It's none of your business. You don't need to get involved."

Robin called out, "Stuart."

Stuart replied, "If there's nothing else, you should leave."

Robin's face darkened. "You still blame me for what happened five years ago, don't you?"

Stuart remained silent.

He continued, "Yes, Donna did something stupid, but Josephine is fine, isn't she?"

"Josephine is fine, but I mistook Donna for Angela then, causing a misunderstanding. After that, Josephine was convinced I didn't care about her. I know it was my fault and can't blame anyone else, but whenever I think about it, Donna is your cousin, and you introduced us. I can't help but feel angry at you."

Robin had bad intentions from the start.

Even if Stuart didn't know then, he still resented him now.

Robin didn't dare say much more. Seeing this approach wasn't working, he had to retreat and think of another way.

Josephine avoided him like the plague, and he couldn't even see her, let alone talk about anything else.

He looked down at his hand scar.

It was from when Josephine cut him with a scalpel.

If he had gone to the hospital any later, he might've died from excessive blood loss.

He never expected her to be so ruthless.

When they met again, she didn't even glance at him.

Robin didn't show any emotion outside, but when he returned from the hospital and was alone, he smashed all his expensive wines in anger.

He had gone to great lengths to ensure Stuart and Josephine divorced.

However, she disappeared right after.

She returned five years later, and Stuart started pursuing her again. After that, Rex appeared.

She even had bodyguards now, so Robin couldn't even approach her.

Robin barely slept all night, going to the hotel entrance early in the morning to take a chance.

He saw a tough-looking man picking up Josephine, and they seemed quite close.

Otis also noticed Robin and saw him staring at Josephine. He asked, "Do you know him?"

Otis had known her for several years and never heard her badmouth anyone.

But this time, she said, "He's someone I despise."

Hearing this, Otis immediately frowned and glanced at Robin again.

Josephine said "despise," not even "dislike."

Otis knew her very well.

For her to despise them, they must be truly awful.

He was already concerned about her safety, and now he was even more cautious.

Robin spent three days in Celestia Springs but couldn't even say a word to Josephine.

He heard that Stuart had already returned to Hustalia, and it was Andrew who called her, saying Stuart's health wasn't good and he didn't look well.

Josephine couldn't say much, so she hung up and sighed lightly.

On the fourth day, when the research institute's work was almost done and Josephine was preparing to return to Hustalia, Rex showed up.

He had been quiet for a few days, and she had almost forgotten about him.

They had agreed to be friends, but then Jessica caused a scene.

After that incident, Josephine thought he'd give up.

But when Rex saw her, his gaze was as passionate and straightforward as ever.

He immediately apologized, "I'm sorry; Jessica's spoiled and a bit arrogant. I explained everything to her, and she won't bother you again."

Josephine said, "There's nothing to apologize for. She's still a child; I can't hold it against her."

Rex insisted, "But she was wrong. To show my apology, let me treat you to a meal."

She could tell he really just wanted to have a meal with her.

She directly refused, "No need, I don't have the time."

He said, "Friends can't even have a meal together? You have to eat anyway, so you should have some time, right?"

She replied, "Since we're friends, I hope you can respect my opinion. I've been busy lately and really don't have the time. Sorry."

Then, she walked away without giving Rex any face.

He shook his head and smiled self-deprecatingly but didn't say anything more.

The next day, in the research institute's conference room, she saw him sitting at the head of the table.

The meeting about the new project was almost over, and it was lunchtime. Rex said he would treat everyone to lunch.

Since he said so, everyone could only agreed.

She stood up. "You all go ahead. I have to go back to Hustalia this afternoon and need to pack."

The institute's leader knew about this and said, "Alright, you go ahead. We'll eat together another time."

Rex didn't expect this. He had planned everything, but it fell through again.

He asked his secretary to take them to lunch and caught up with Josephine. "You're going back to Hustalia?"

Josephine pressed the elevator button. "Yes."

He said, "Let me take you."

"No need." She pointed to the person next to her. "I have a driver."

Rex then looked at Otis.

Otis raised his eyelids slightly, looking somewhat indifferent.

But Rex, with his keen eye, knew Otis wasn't someone to mess with.

He smiled. "Alright. When you return from Hustalia, I'll treat you to a meal."

Josephine said, "Let's talk about it later. You know, once the project starts, I'll be very busy."
