Chapter 480 Really Can Eat
Josephine asked, "Where are we going?"
Laura said, "We're going back to Hustalia, to that little stall we used to eat at when we were kids."
"Back to Hustalia?" Josephine asked, "Are we leaving now?"
"Yes, we're leaving now and we'll be back tonight," Laura said. "Let's go."
"Isn't Steven going with you?"
"He's in a meeting today, and I didn't tell him. Are you coming or not?"
Josephine didn't have anything to do these days, but she wanted to inform her family before leaving.
Seeing her hesitation, Laura said, "We'll be back tonight, it's just one day. Don't you have that much freedom?"
"I'll just let them know."
"Just tell your mom and them. What's there to tell Stuart? Don't you have the freedom to go out?"
Josephine laughed, "It's not that, I just want to let them know so they don't worry."
"Suit yourself, I'll pick you up in a bit."
Josephine asked, "Did Steven let you drive?"
After the last rear-end collision, Steven didn't let her drive anymore.
Laura said, "I'm not driving, there's a driver."
Josephine changed her clothes, called Nicole to inform her, and then went downstairs to talk to Andrew when she received Laura's call.
"So soon?" She asked.
Laura said, "I was already on the way when I called you. Hurry up and come out!"
Josephine quickly said goodbye to Andrew and got into the car.
"Why the rush?" Josephine asked.
Laura leaned over to fasten her seatbelt. "We're getting on the highway soon, better buckle up."
Josephine said, "You buckle up, too. Why the sudden craving for that food?"
"I just suddenly wanted it," Laura said. "I also wanted to visit the old place, it holds many good memories."
Josephine said, "Did you tell Steven?"
"No, he's busy all day today. By the time he's done, I might be back."
"Then I'll call Stuart."
"Don't call," Laura said. "Let's have a spontaneous trip!"
"I'm telling you," She took Josephine's phone and put it in the car's seat pocket, "whether it's a couple or a married couple, don't stick together all the time, you'll get tired of each other. Keep some distance to maintain freshness."
"Okay," Josephine said helplessly. "Did you tell Claudia?"
"Why tell her? She can't come back now anyway, it would just make her crave."
The doctor had advised that it was best to be cautious in the first three months of pregnancy, so Claudia wouldn't be leaving Celestia Springs for a few months.
"Speaking of which, we haven't gone out to play for a long time," Laura sighed. "You were busy abroad before, and when you came back, you were always around Stuart, with no time for yourself."
Josephine said, "I wasn't just around him, there was also my mom. Now I understand, when people get older, they really love to nag."
"Is your mom nagging about Gerald's single status again?"
"Yes," Josephine said. "She has no other thoughts now. Gerald is really busy, and without someone to take care of him, we're all worried."
"What about that Kathy, you mentioned before?"
"No progress," Josephine sighed. "Gerald doesn't seem interested in her."
"Someone like Gerald, who would he be interested in? He's only interested in work, right?"
"True," Josephine said helplessly. "Anyway, my mom is quite worried."
"Comfort her more. What's there to worry about? He has a son, doesn't need a woman, and is fine on his own."
"We understand that, but saying it doesn't help."
"Don't worry about it," Laura asked her, "How's Jeffery doing lately?"
"He's doing well," Josephine said. "I still feel that a child needs a complete family."
"Of course, if it weren't for circumstances, who would want a divorce?"
"Speaking of which, how's the baby plan you mentioned last time?"
"Not much progress," Laura said lazily. "No one brought it up."
"I'm serious, if you're still undecided, just have a baby. Don't regret it when you're older and can't have one."
"I'm not undecided anymore," Laura said.
"That's good," Josephine said. "As long as you two are happy, no one will interfere."
They chatted for a while, then both fell asleep on the highway.
When they woke up, they had almost arrived.
The driver took them directly to their destination. After getting out of the car, Laura told the driver he could have some free time and didn't need to wait for them.
"I'll call you when we're done, and you can come pick us up!"
The driver left, and Laura pulled Josephine along, "Let's go!"
They were familiar with everything around here. They ate at the little stall Laura had been craving, bought some desserts, had some barbecue, and drank coffee.
Josephine was stuffed.
She hadn't eaten these things in a long time.
They sat on the steps near the school.
The temperature wasn't too high today, around 68 degrees Fahrenheit, and the sun was shining warmly.
"I still want a grilled sausage," Laura said. "Let's go!"
Josephine didn't move. "I can't eat anymore, I'm stuffed."
Laura said, "You didn't eat that much. Are you dieting?"
"Why would I diet?" Josephine said. "Aren't you full?"
"Not really," Laura said. "But you never ate as much as I did."
Josephine lifted her shirt to show her, "Look, my belly is already bulging, bigger than Claudia's pregnancy belly."
To be fair, although Claudia was over two months pregnant, she was very slim and hadn't gained much weight despite eating more.
Laura said, "Everyone has a little belly. Mine is bigger than yours. Just eat, Stuart won't mind."
Josephine reluctantly got up to buy a grilled sausage with her.
She couldn't eat anymore, so she just watched Laura eat.
She said, "If Claudia had your appetite, Jair wouldn't be frowning all the time."
"Claudia is much better now," Laura said. "She was really worrying before."
"If Claudia could eat like you, it would be great," Josephine repeated. "With your appetite, your baby would definitely be chubby!"
"Enough!" Laura put her hands on her hips and glared at her, "If you say that again, I'll get mad!"
"You can eat, but we can't talk about it?" Josephine pretended to be shocked, "Oh, you might be pregnant, right?"
Laura pretended to hit her, and they both laughed.
Laura's phone rang. She looked at it, it was Stuart. "Your husband."
Josephine's phone was left in the car by Laura, and she forgot to take it out.
Laura answered, and Stuart immediately asked, "Is Josephine with you?"
Laura said, "No, why?"
"No?" Stuart got nervous, "Then where did she go? My grandpa said she was going to Hustalia with you!"
Josephine took the phone from Laura, "Stop messing around. Hello, it's me. I'm with her, yes, we're in Hustalia. Don't come, we'll be back in the afternoon."
