Chapter 44 I'm Honored That You Hate Me
After work, Liam came early to pick up Josephine.
Josephine said she wanted to go out for dinner, and Liam muttered, "Why are you eating with them? They're not good people!"
Josephine said, "Jair is back."
"He's back?" Liam's face softened. "He's the only normal one."
Josephine had been in the clinic in the morning and the ward in the afternoon, feeling exhausted. She closed her eyes and said, "I'll rest for a while. Wake me up when it's time."
Liam snorted, "Unbuckle your seatbelt yourself so that we won't be photographed again."
Hearing Liam's words, Josephine thought of Robin taking a picture of her and Stuart sending her a purse, and she couldn't help but snort.
Liam knew she had a bit of a temper, but her temper only showed in front of the closest people.
He smiled, "Alright, let bygones be bygones. Don't be angry."
They soon arrived at the hotel. Liam escorted Josephine upstairs, gave her a few words of advice, and then left.
Josephine walked into the private room and saw that Stuart and Jair were already there.
Seeing her come in alone, Jair asked, "Where's Robin?"
Josephine was confused. "How would I know?"
Jair said, "He goes to pick you up."
Stuart asked, "Why?"
Jair explained, "You had a fight, and Josephine hurt her foot, so I told Robin to pick her up."
Josephine had blocked Robin, but he had other ways to contact her.
Josephine didn't know that Robin had gone to pick her up.
Jair said, "I’ll call him."
He called Robin and told him that Josephine had arrived. Robin said angrily, "I know. I'm on my way."
He went to the hospital to pick up Josephine for two reasons: Jair told him to, and he wanted to talk to Josephine before they had dinner to avoid an argument. Otherwise, everyone would be very embarrassed.
But he had been blocked by Josephine and didn't want to call her from another number, so he planned to wait for her in the parking lot.
Robin didn't expect that Liam would drive the car to the entrance of the ward and take Josephine away.
He waited in the parking lot, enduring the cold wind for over half an hour. Unable to bear it any longer, he went upstairs to inquire, only to find out that Josephine had already left.
He stood in the wind for a long time, so he was very angry. After he came to the private room, he looked at Josephine with a cold face, saying nothing, and sneezed first.
Jair said, "Are you catching a cold? Have some hot water first."
After that, he continued to look at Stuart and said, "As a man and Josephine's husband, you should be more tolerant of your wife. You should apologize to her. It's not a big deal."
Stuart nodded.
Jair knew that Stuart had Josephine a purse. After that, he looked at Josephine again. "Josephine, it's inevitable for couples to have arguments. Forget about what happened before."
In Josephine's impression, Jair was very upright.
But this time, she felt that his way of speaking was different from before.
He used to speak concisely, but now he was chattering.
Josephine didn't know if Jair knew Doris; she just listened to Jair speaking.
Robin couldn't help but say, "Some people have suddenly become arrogant. She has to be careful. Otherwise, she will suffer."
Josephine didn't want to talk to him.
Stuart frowned at him. "Finish your coffee."
Jair looked at him. "Robin, what do you mean?"
Robin couldn't complain. He couldn't say that Josephine had blocked him twice.
He snorted and took a sip of his drink.
Jair shook his head and looked at Josephine. "Josephine, can I talk to you alone?"
Before Josephine could react, Stuart said, "You can say whatever you have to say here."
Jair looked at him in surprise.
At noon, he said he would take Doris home, and Stuart didn't say anything.
Why did he want to talk to Josephine alone, but Stuart disagreed?
Robin also looked at Stuart.
Josephine smiled, "Okay."
"I'll be waiting outside," she said before wheeling herself away.
Stuart's expression turned sour.
Jair asked in the puzzle, "What do you mean? You don’t trust me?"
Stuart felt Josephine had changed. He had given her a gift, but she seemed unhappy. Robin had suggested that gifts were the best way to please a woman. Stuart, however, felt that Josephine was different.
He touched his forehead and replied, "No, what do you want to tell her? Don’t mention Doris."
"She still doesn't know the existence of Doris?"
Stuart felt a headache coming on. "If she doesn't know, do you want to tell her?"
Jair frowned, "Stuart, this isn't right. I can give you time to deal with Doris."
With that, Jair went to find Josephine. In the room, only Stuart and Robin remained. Robin said, "You should tell him the truth."
"What?"
"You and Josephine are definitely getting a divorce..." Before Robin could finish, Stuart gave him a sharp look.
Robin shuddered but persisted, "Haven't you had that thought for a long time?"
He felt wronged. He was trying to help Stuart, but no one appreciated his intentions.
He continued, "Everyone knows you can't stand Josephine. Even though you married her, you never intended to spend your life with her. Divorce is inevitable. Why are you delaying it? Women age quickly, and when she..."
"Shut up!"
"Shut up!"
Robin was taken off guard. Besides Stuart's voice, he heard another person's voice.
He turned around, his eyes widening in surprise. "Aren't you taking outside?"
At the door, Jair was pushing Josephine's wheelchair. They had heard Robin's words.
Stuart didn't know why he felt flustered. He stood up and looked at Josephine. He wanted to say something, but with others present, he couldn't.
Jair was already angry. "Robin, what's wrong with you? Why do you always talk nonsense?"
He said, looking at Stuart. "Are you mute? Robin is wrong. Why don't you defend yourself?"
Josephine suddenly laughed.
The three men had their thoughts. When they heard her laughter, they couldn't help but look at her.
Josephine knew Robin was telling the truth. Stuart didn't need to defend himself.
Jair's words were mean to avoid embarrassing Stuart
Only she was a pitiful person. After she finished laughing, she stared at Stuart. "Mr. Haustia, I'm honored that you hate me."
She was smiling, but Stuart felt even more flustered.
