Chapter 191 It's Normal For Someone Who's Heartbroken To Be Off.

Andrew really didn't want to get involved.

Sure, Stuart was his grandson, so he should be on his side. But he loved Josephine like a granddaughter.

Josephine and Stuart had been married for three years. Stuart was always busy, so Josephine took care of Andrew. He genuinely liked her.

Everyone loves a caring and sensible person.

But Stuart lost Josephine.

Andrew hoped they'd reconcile, but if Josephine didn't want to, he'd respect that.

Now, Stuart had insomnia and stomach issues. Andrew was worried.

He said, "I can ask Liam about Josephine, but you have to promise not to make things hard for her and respect her wishes. Deal?"

Stuart quickly agreed, "I won't make things hard for her! Grandpa, call now!"

Even though Stuart and Liam didn't get along, their families were close.

When Stuart saw Liam's dad at events, he'd call him Uncle Clement.

Andrew called Liam, who answered quickly, "Grandpa Haustia."

"Liam," Andrew got straight to the point. "Do you know where Josephine is?"

Liam had helped Josephine before, thanks to Andrew.

He knew Andrew meant well but also knew Andrew would side with Stuart, his grandson.

Liam didn't beat around the bush, "Grandpa Haustia, I don't know where Josephine is right now. Even if I did, I wouldn't tell without her consent."

Andrew said, "Liam, I know you're a good person and close to Josephine. But I'm begging you."

Stuart frowned, trying not to grab the phone.

Andrew continued, "Stuart messed up. He needs to make it up to Josephine. Otherwise, it's too easy for him."

Liam replied, "The best way for Stuart to make it up is by not disturbing her."

Andrew said, "Liam..."

"Grandpa Haustia," Liam interrupted, "I care about Josephine. Please understand. I can't help."

Andrew sighed. "He now..."

Stuart couldn't take it anymore. Seeing Andrew lower himself for him, he couldn't bear it.

He took the phone. "Hang up."

Andrew looked at him. "With that attitude, you still want to find Josephine?"

Stuart said, "I'll find her myself! I don't believe I can't find her!"

"Control your temper!" Andrew sighed heavily. "I don't expect great-grandchildren anymore. Just let me see you reconcile with Josephine before I go, okay?"

Stuart promised Andrew.

However, there were some things he couldn't do, even if he promised.

Stuart's crew had been involved in some shady stuff before.

He had multiple ways to find Josephine, but even with Jair and Robin's help, he couldn't locate her.

So, either she left the country through some special means, or someone was blocking their info.

But in Auroravale City, especially with Jair's help, they had the most power. If someone could still block them, that person must be super powerful. Stuart ruled that out.

He just needed to confirm if Josephine left the country during that time.

On the surface, Stuart seemed back to normal. He went to work, ate on time, and his insomnia got better.

He called Jair and Robin, telling them to stop searching.

Jair didn't say much, but Robin thought Stuart had given up.

"Stop searching?" Robin asked. "Have you moved on?"

Stuart didn't want to talk. He was never chatty, and now he was even quieter.

Robin continued, "My people are idle anyway, so let's keep looking. Maybe we'll find something."

Stuart coldly replied, "Suit yourself," and hung up.

Robin felt something was off and called Jair. "What's up with Stuart? He seems off."

Jair said, "It's normal for someone heartbroken to be off."

"Isn't his reaction a bit delayed?" Robin sneered. "They've been divorced for over half a year."

From the shareholders' meeting to Josephine going abroad, then to the front lines, Liam getting injured, Josephine being imprisoned, and finally leaving, more than half a year had passed.

Jair said, "Just think of it as a delayed reaction. I saw him a few days ago, and he wasn't in a good state. I think he's serious this time. By the way, I heard Donna was your cousin? Don't bring random people around him."

Robin said, "I'm innocent. He lacks self-control and blames others for being too attractive?"

Jair said, "I know you have issues with Josephine. Their divorce has a lot to do with you."

Robin was shocked, not expecting Jair to reveal the truth.

He quickly said, "You can't say that. If Stuart hears it, he'll beat me up."

Jair was busy and didn't have time to chat. "If there's nothing else, I'm hanging up."

"Wait!" Robin asked, "When are you free? Stuart hasn't been in a good state lately. Let's keep him company."

Jair agreed. "The day after tomorrow. I'll call you then."

They made plans, but when they called Stuart that day, he simply replied, "Not going."

Robin called and asked, "What are you busy with?"

Stuart wasn't busy. He was in his office, lights off, standing by the window, a half-smoked cigarette in hand. His tall figure looked lonely.

Jair took the phone and said, "Come over. I'll be in training for the next six months and won't be able to come out."

After a long pause, Stuart finally replied, "Okay."
